Who: Zack and Sephiroth
What: Checking out the area's barrier
When: Same day Sephiroth arrives
Where: Middle of town to the mountains
Summary: General and subordinate reunite, and... well, it's back to work as usual.
Rating: PG-13, probably, due to mild language.
Zack cast his gaze around the town - or what he could see of it, anyway - searching for his former general. He couldn't help the mixed feelings that threatened to overwhelm him every time he thought about meeting Sephiroth again. The man had been dead, or at least lost in the Lifestream. Getting consumed by a giant lake of Mako wasn't healthy for anyone, even a beefed up supersoldier. He'd resigned himself to the loss of two good friends - three, if you counted Cloud's catatonic state, but he didn't like doing that as he'd never lost faith that the kid would recover. Finding Sephiroth here, supposedly as alive as he was, sane... he'd never have imagined it.
Still, he'd know when they found one another. So he kept looking, jogging through town towards the mountains. Hopefully this wouldn't take long.

The very thought nearly made him laugh aloud.
"...Zack, I..." Sephiroth trailed off, unable to even propose a suitable solution, or even a theory; he knew nothing of this world, and knew nothing of the circumstances of Zack's death.
What he did know, however, was that he was brought to this land apparently five years from when Zack had been taken. If they were still of the same time when they returned...perhaps he could prevent it from happening. Sephiroth wasn't sure how he would go about doing just that, but the idea of losing the only person he allowed himself to become close to was the nearest he would ever come to a crushing feeling.
