Well, the... classification botany would u-use for fruits - they seem to, er, f-fall somewhat outside of any... actual fruit structure I have seen.

... They also have a... strangely synthetic l-look, to them... almost as it they are... made.

[Or genetically modified.

The paopu's pulp is bright yellow inside, with a similar texture to a perfectly-ripened nectarine - soft and tender, not quite pulpy. A sweet scent wafts from it, tempting.]
