Movie Marathon!

Who: Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Arsene Lupin III, Ami Mizuno, Adele Leblanc, Leonardo, Gambit, and anyone else who has the desire to show up.
What: Star Wars Movie Marathon
When: February 21st to whenever its done
Where: Luke and Ben's place
Summary: Luke and Ben have decided to just end the constant cycle of confusion and actually WATCH the Star Wars movies. There is soda (gasp!) popcorn, canned tea, and all sorts of other movie related nonsense.
Rating: PG, same as the movies (Could get PG13? doubtful)

[Luke does NOT deign to comment on Obi-Wan's hair. He'd seen FAR worse come from the likes of Corran and Kyle, but when he hears his oldest friend making jokes about his father's feeble attempts to...flirt...with his mother he cannot help but break out in laughter]

Did...he...really say that? He's about as subtle as a Gundark...its a wonder I was born at all...

Well, we've got snack foods of all sorts, Candies, popcorn, and things. Lupin brought some sort of cheese snack, and Gambit brought a spicy concoction from his home. Oh, and I've got some food from my home as well, but I'm not sure if it turned out very good.

[Don crowds in close to watch Robert manipulate the power cell. He doesn't know what these are, but he has a feeling that he should.]

It was less an outburst and more corrective commentary, which is something these films tend to induce in those that watch them. Just...wait until the third film. I have far too much to say about the state of the medical facilities depicted. [Adele chuckles and offers Luke a smile of her own. Until she'd met Obi-Wan she'd thought them fiction. Now she sees them as a strange chronicle of sorts.]

[And he still looks so confused, a little awed, and slightly overwhelmed. That won't do at all.]

I think there are...novelizations? Books, based on the movie, that we might be able to find in the library here. If not I would be more than happy to answer whatever questions you might have between movies. And if I cannot answer them I'm certain Ben or Luke can.

I will admit, my grasp of the history concerning them is a little...rusty. I'm a surgeon, not a historian, but I think that is the...what is the word...the gist of it?

[She'd needed a short break between the last film and this, just a moment to duck into one of the other rooms, take half a dose of her medication, and return to her spot on the sofa. This was...the movie she dreaded most. This was very recent for Ben. This was where Luke would watch his father succumb fully to the Dark Side. If Adele's more than a little tense, it's not because of her fear. For once.]

Ah! Do-do you need any assistance? I-um, I didn't bring anything I realize. S-So if you need any help I'd be more than obliged to do so.

Good! There's no reason why you shouldn't start to believe in your skills. And I would like that, I look forward to it even. [ A nice dinner between the three of them, sounds lovely, remind him a bit of what he, Ginia, Frederic and Poland used to do. A pause as he thinks and then chuckles shaking his head. ]

We have a bit of a bad track record when it comes to dinners but, well, I certainly hope we can enjoy it together. The three of us or maybe four, depending.

[ It's be nice but really all their planned dinners usually got ruined one way or the other. ]/small>

[Lupin was also wrapped up in the fight, despite his misgivings over the effects, the plot, and his own tiredness steadily coming into the fore. He was wide awake, if only in anticipation of blow after blow.]

[ Helios looks at him a bit concerned before smiling. ] Then we're both in the same boat! They're beyond me, really. I-I never watched a movie since I was very young, so.

[ A shrug. ] My students talk about them quite a lot though. I guess I'll finally see what all the talk is about them. [ But really. Helios' life is enough of an adventure he's not sure if a movie can be up to par. And that's not even bragging, it's the truth. ]

...have I yet apologized for the double date? I think I have, but in case I have not, I am terribly sorry for. That whole...thing. It was a very poor attempt at something resembling normalcy and the very last time I try to apply anything my sisters told me about dating to my life ever, ever again.

It's fine Adele. We weren't exactly ourselves last week. And, well, it-it could have gone worse. A bit awkward but, ah, it-it was still interesting. [ A small smile. ]

Wanting normalcy isn't something to apologize over at any rate. [ Sure it was a bit awkward but it's not as if anything too bad happened, right? ]

Well. That attempt went...poorly. But! This is normal enough, is it not? The movie marathon with friends, snacks, beverages, soft cushions, etc. [She grins, relaxing more now that she was confident Helios wasn't leaving for awhile, at least.]

...even if I'm watching them with a wizard, a beast, ninja turtles, Two Jedi, a fictional thief's grandson...I need to stop thinking about that. Normal night, normal...ish. Friends. For Luceti. [Shaking her head, she laughs.]

Of course. Using a lightsaber and a sword isn't terribly different. I'm sure I could pick one up from the smithy. I don't have a second lightsaber at the moment, but I could probably put one together, if you'd rather try that. But that...will take some time.
