Later scientist is also late. HIT ME WITH ANYTHING
But this is something he is fascinated by - and Leonardo managed to convince Don to come
hopefully- and he doesn't want to be home alone, not after the recent experiment. So here's an anxious little blob of a scientist, taking in the sights of Obi-Wan and Luke's home with a nervous air. He hovers close to the turtles (they may almost seem like bodyguards with how he ends up being flanked by them) at first, but Ami or other people at the party might be able to convince him out of his metaphorical and somewhat-literal shell long enough to talk.
... Catch him organizing things spontaneously (it's a nervous habit!) or orbiting a corner like a wayward satellite. Or engage him in some conversation. Or offer him food. Or something! Go crazy.]

Robert? Hey, its good to finally meet you in person. I hope you are well after the last week. If you have a moment, I'd like to show you what I managed to get finished, with that project we were speaking about the other day.
no subject
Ah... c-certainly, Mr. Skywalker... I would b-be most enthusiastic to... peruse your droid...

After a moment, he glances up, beyond fascinated.]
It is... qu-quite the achievement, for... for being limited by L-Luceti...
... Do you have any... eventual u-uses in mind for such a droid...?

For a moment, he stalls on saying anything, but then the spontaneous organization starts and Gambit just barely suppresses a snort of amusement.
Screw it, this guy's probably harmless. Plus he's been lurking around the turtles and Gambit already knows Leonardo's a good guy. ...Turtle.]
You okay over there, homme?

[Even after all this time, Robert is still not used to people approaching him out of what objectively feels like nowhere. It's not something he expects in any social situation, though a party is probably that one time where it is expected that a certain amount of mingling would occur.
Regardless, though, Gambit is new - a stranger, though not a person he doesn't vaguely recollect the voice of over the network a few times. Especially with that very distinct accent...]
... I... I s-suppose...
[The fact that he's halfway through restacking a group of cloth napkins might suggest otherwise, though. (That's the second time he did it, and in the same orientation, too!)]

Don't worry, I don't t'ink anybody here is the bitin' kind.
[He jerks a thumb in Lupin's direction.]
Might wanna watch out for his nachos, though. Those could prob'ly lay a hurtin' on you.

... I... I j-just... [A little nervously:] ... ... Am not, er, a-accustomed to being around... so many others...
...
But, er, I will... k-keep that in mind...
[He actually didn't recognize them as "nachos"...]
*smacks you with a s'more*
It won't keep him from looking away, of course. Derek's never really had a chance to get a good look at Don's other half, and he'll take the chance to do so now while everyone is more or less distracted with the movie.
So, yeah...Robert might get that 'being watched' feeling after a little bit.]
/s'more bounces off his head and rolls away; makes a grab for it
He's just not sure who.
Derek will probably notice that, at some point, Robert draws himself up a bit straighter - more defensively, almost? - and begins to slide his gaze around, until it awkwardly meets his.
Then he almost immediately glances away, awkward and uncertain.
Finally, though, he manages to look over again...
... This must be one of the most uncomfortable-looking reactions Derek has ever seen.]

...Good thing he wasn't infected this time around, because Robert would be looking mighty tasty right now.
The hunter will keep all that internalized though, and not let it show. Instead, he'll offer a nod and a slight smile. Hey man; how's it going?]

Did you, er... w-wish to speak to m-me...?

You're Robert, aren't you?

Htting SO HARD
Maybe you should simmer down, get a bit to eat, and get cozy. Redecorating is not a good way to watch movies.
OW MY HEAD. :[
... He'll just... sheepishly put that back where it was, then.]
...
I... er, have... d-difficulty leaving it... l-like this... ["This" being "not organized in the exact way my mind says it should be incessantly".]
:3
Carry on then--doesn't look like Luke and Obi mind. I'd offer to help, but...[his doctor would tie him down normally, Smoker call him an idiot, and Fujiko would try to poison him again.]
Let's just say that's not a good idea right now.
;_;
[Distract him from having to be around so many other people. And this is less nervous than usual.]

i love you anyway :3

Oh, dear.
"I appreciate the thought, but we can keep things neatly arranged, friend."
Oh dear indeed. 8'D
A-Ah, I...
[Time to launch into a stumbling explanation!]
I, I s-simply... have... ... c-compulsions... [Robert trails off, embarrassed, and just drops his trembling hands to his sides, backing away a little.]
no subject
So you're kind of a nerd, right? So Star Wars must be really popular in your circles.
[Who says you can't have two parties fail conversation at the same time?]
no subject
But if that question was poorly worded, Robert's response is relatively serious.]
I... have never even heard of... s-such a thing...
... Though, if I am n-not mistaken, Don... seems to enjoy it...
no subject
Wait, so what are your favorite movies then?
no subject
... th-though my world has... holovideo, which... is much d-different. More... immersive.
[Also a lot less violent.]
