Movie Marathon!

Who: Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Arsene Lupin III, Ami Mizuno, Adele Leblanc, Leonardo, Gambit, and anyone else who has the desire to show up.
What: Star Wars Movie Marathon
When: February 21st to whenever its done
Where: Luke and Ben's place
Summary: Luke and Ben have decided to just end the constant cycle of confusion and actually WATCH the Star Wars movies. There is soda (gasp!) popcorn, canned tea, and all sorts of other movie related nonsense.
Rating: PG, same as the movies (Could get PG13? doubtful)

I am the latest of all and my muse doesn't even know what movies are

[ Helios had...gotten the call over his journal from Adele at some point during the day. And with the ice storm outside being as bad as it was the only method to get there would be teleportation. So there's a lone headmaster knocking politely at the door before entering...slowly and tentatively. He is just...going to stay in a corner and possibly try to find Adele to give her, her medication. And then perhaps he'll simply leave because what are movies he doesn't know anything about this sort of thing!

Still they were a curious thing and maybe he might stay for one or two. But in the meantime have Helios being decidedly tentative as he looks around the apartment. ]

[Adele blinks over at Helios once he's inside, beams, and disentangles herself from the little cocoon of blankets and pillows she'd amassed while waiting for the marathon to start. Small woman, low body fat, chills easily, etc. Once free she jogs over to, of all things, give him a quick hug. He had her medication, he'd helped with the beignets, he earned one. Then she remembers he's uncomfortably by public displays of affection and backs up a bit, sliding her hands into her pockets. Yes, Helios, this is the woman you live with.]

Thank you, again. For your help. And what you brought. And coming. Because. I didn't know if you'd like them, and I don't know if you've met Rems or Ben and I know you aren't always comfortable in a social setting and- [She cuts herself off with a soft laugh.] Just. Thank you.

[ Helios was...not expecting that, the hug. He stiffens noticeably when she does give him that quick hug but he manages a small smile as he backs away slightly. Adele you are...acting ever so strange. ] Oh. It's, it's n-no trouble! I'm g-glad to have helped.

[ A pause. ] I-I haven't met either I don't think. [ Except he has met Obi-wan he's just never heard him be called Ben before, derp. He hasn't heard of either of them as far as he can tell but, well, always time to meet new people right? Still he'll shift in his place as he looks around again before his eyes land back on her. ]

Are you...alright? [ You are acting ever so strange right now Adele. Helios is a little worried but not too much because you seem to be having a nice enough time. ]

Mm? Oh. Ah. It's the medication I asked you to bring. [She waves a hand.] It prevents the involuntary physical reaction I have to heights, or the thought of heights, falling, etc, etc. Side effects at this level include, em. [Shrugging, she looks back over the gathering, Ben, Luke, Lupin, and all, before returning her gaze to Helios. It was brighter than it had been in awhile, even before the mess of the past week.]

Somewhat erratic behavior? I wrote this down once, I just cannot remember where. Erm. [She tilts her head back to think.] I get lost on tangents, my mind wanders, I don't typically filter what it is I think before I speak, which is mortifying in retrospect. Fewer inhibitions? Henri used to say it made me act like a befuddled kitten, though that's hardly apt anymore, or at the time.

[ He is going to smile and nod. That explains it then. ] Well as long as it allows for you to-to have a good time that's what matters most. There isn't anything that causes less effects then? Not, not that there's a typical pharmacy here to really look for something else.

[ Because some of those side effects might...lead to slightly dicey situations. But he doesn't think that'll be an issue, really. It was for her own personal comfort and stability and Helios could definitely understand that. ] Either way I-I hope you have a good time tonight. [ A pause before he ventures. ]

S-So what is it you all are watching again exactly?

It is the most mild of all the medications I tested back home. There may be something from another world but. I would rather use something that I'm at least a little familiar with, to avoid confusion. And. Um. Are you sure you do not wish to stay? I mean. There is room enough, and- [And she'd promised Ginia she'd keep an eye on him, and couldn't do that if he didn't stay. But he didn't need to know that.]

And they're movies. From my world, and those like it. Star Wars. They are science fiction, and are based on the lives of Ben and Luke. They're entertaining, at least the first three that were made are, though those come later in the timeline than the first- I never understood why he started his story in the middle, to be honest. But. I think we are watching them in order?

No worries! Luke...only somewhat knows!

[Another stranger enters, which Luke definitely doesn't mind. He'd fully prepared himself for a party, and that was exactly what he'd gotten. He'll approach, a warm look on his face, like any good host]

Good evening. I'm Luke Skywalker, welcome to the party. Please, do have a seat and get comfortable.

[ Said stranger might be giving off vibes of being slightly uncomfortable and feeling like he's intruding. He was only going to stay to give Adele her medicine, really, and then be off. He always feels like that when going to a gathering where the people aren't quite as well known as he would like to know them. Still he startles a little at the greeting. ] Oh, good evening. I'm Helios Sprensonne. It's a pleasure to meet you.

[ He blinks. Oh. Hm. ] Oh I-I just st-stopped by to, to give Adele something. She should be around here somewhere, I believe.

[ Hm though he hates to not take the offer. It would probably be rude not to do so, huh? ]

[It probably would be rude, but Luke won't mind. After all, its a free world. Still, he'd like to have as many people around as he can, particularly if they can make Adele feel more at home. He gestures over to the doctor]

She's over there, but please, don't feel uncomfortable staying if you like. The weather looks rather nasty, and Obi-Wan and I have prepared a great deal of food.

[ It is rude and Helios is not a rude person. So he might just stay for a movie or two, who knows. ]

Ah it...is getting a bit nasty out isn't it? [ Says the man who just teleported here and evaded all things weather induced. Still he'd stay if is made Adele feel better and, well, such a kind offer cannot go unnoticed and turned down. So a smile. ] P-Perhaps I'll stay for a little awhile then. Thank you, you're f-far too kind.

[Are you really going to turn down company, food, and an insisting Jedi? C'mon!]

My muse thinks they're ridiculously primitive. 2-D? And a disc that big?

[ He knows you as well. Helios startles a little from being addressed. He doesn't know why he's loitering. He should really probably go. Uncertainty that is all you will be getting from him Obi-Wan. Though he looks chipper enough when he goes to respond to the other. ]

Ah! Yes! And you're Obi-Wan. It's nice speaking with you again! I-I just stopped by to, ah, give Adele something.

"You're not staying?"

[Oh yes you are!]

[ No. No he is not. Well maybe not, who knows. ]

I ah...I-I'm not very familiar with these movie things. [ He shrugs. ] I-I wouldn't want to impose.

[averybadfeeling]

"Don't be ridiculous, you're more than welcome. Adele would be glad for your company. Besides, you're not the only one. I'm used to three-dimensional holograms, and I've invited a fellow who apparently comes from a pre-industrial society, the most he's probably seen is a play or opera."

[Obi-Wan Kenobi. Master of Soresu. Nicknamed the Negotiator. Persistent as hell.

[ Helios blinks back at Lupin. Sorry if he doesn't remember you right away a lot was happening with that first impression. ] Um. We've spoken before haven't we?

[ As for the offered platter he'll kindly take one, hesitantly but he does eventually. Oh wow they're spicy. He's going to need milk at this rate. Give him a second to fight back those tears and from choking as he clears his throat. ] Ah. Thank you. They...certainly have quick a kick to them.

[He's smiling nicely, but there's mischief lurking behind those dark eyes.]

Ah. So you're the one Adele was speaking about!

[ Huh. Small world but no less interesting! Helios will just...hunch a little at that question. ] I-I never claimed to be very g-good at it. [ A frown right back at that mischievous look. But yes lets not discuss that, shall we? He'll nod at the nachos. Deflecting time. He'll cough slightly. ]

I've had curries and the like before. I don't typically eat them often but, ah, a palate change every once in awhile is nice. [ Even if those are some spicy nachos man. ] I-I might need some water though if I'm going to continue to eat them. [ Just a laugh. ]

Dellie talks about me, huh? Hopefully its good stuff! [He's biased. He is the man that randomly left a bottle of wine in your kitchen only a few weeks back.]

Hello Robert. [ A warm reply back. He notes the hopeful edge in the others tone and chuckles. ]

I-I've been asked that quite a bit. But, ah, y-yes. I'll definitely be joining you.

I am glad... [Both because - well, it's Helios - and because Robert wants the reassurance of a familiar face here.]

Have you... seen these movies before...?

I'm not one for...movies I'm afraid. [ So no. He is rather clueless on the whole movie ordeal. ]

Have you? [ Because he doesn't know just how violent these movies are his question is valid, okay? ]
