Of couse she did. Apparently my grandfather is her great uncle's magnum opus or something--I don't think Maurice was a crazy man though. He was friends with my grandfather, in my world. [He shrugs. So strange to be talking about it like that.]

Handle the spice however you think is best then. I never claimed to be a chef.

Yes that's...rather fascinating actually. It's amazing how worlds overlap in the most unique ways.

[ Helios will do just that. He might take another few nachos, balancing them in a hand as he goes to get a glass of water. ]

Yeah. It's a little bit like how so many of us know these movies! Actually, that's part of why Luke and Obi-Wan are showing them. They want to see the movies for themselves.
folklorist: (Ever so curious)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-02-23 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
It almost seems too strange to be true. But...do you think this was a good idea? I-I mean...there's bound to be things in these movies they haven't seen, isn't there?

[ He's not sure how he'd feel to watch or read about his life and what happens to him in the future through such means. It's interesting in theory, for certain, but for the respective parties whose lives it involves and displays...it might be rather jarring. ]</small<

It might not be, when asked like that. [It was delightfully strange, and delightfully meta. They're breaking their own Fourth Wall here, after all. Lupin tries for a reassuring smile.]

They're Jedi, though, and fully aware of what they might find. It was their choice; we should honor it.
folklorist: (I don't honestly know)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-02-23 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Jedi? I-I'm not familiar with them but, ah, it was their choice. And you're right to honor it, very right. [ Still there is a small frown on his features. ]

I-I just hope...nothing too jarring occurs. [ Oh how wrong you shall be Helios. How wrong indeed. ]

[He has the same concerns, but no illusions about it:]

This being more Lucas? It will be jarring. [That pivotal moment on Empire comes to mind. "No, I am your father."]

[ Helios stares blankly before finally realizing. ]

Oh! Lucas, yes, he's the... [ creator sounds strange to say especially since two people's lives that are being portrayed by said creation are in the room as they speak. ] ...writer of these movies?
redjacketthief: (he's a nice man)

[personal profile] redjacketthief 2012-02-24 02:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Sorta. He's the director. All of the filming, plotting, casting, and editing decisions must be run by him first.

[Don't mind Lupin--he's an all around nerd, really, and could probably give a whole dissertation on the original trilogy on a meta, cinemagraphic leval.]
folklorist: (Curiousity killed the cat you know?)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-02-24 06:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah. I see. So as far as movies go these are...quite popular, correct?

[ Here is Helios knowing nothing at media. ]

They were only the awesomest thing to come out of the 70s and 80s.

[Lupin's gonna need to fix this problem someday...]

Ah they were, were they? I apologize I'm not much of the sort for these things. [ A laugh as he rubs the back of his head. ]

I do remember the hype at the time though. [ He didn't really have too many friends back in the day though. Might have to do with the whole older brother situation. ]

It's cool. Everyone has their own deal.

...we at least need to get you to watch The Princess Bride.
folklorist: (Sneaky: I do like the sound of that)

[personal profile] folklorist 2012-02-25 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
The Princess Bride? [ What is this movie you speak of aside from amazing and awesome? ]

Medieval setting I assume? There aren't any dragons in it are there? [ Just a wry smirk on his lips as he asks that. ]
