[OPEN] Winter Wrap Up Celebration

Summary: Luna urges all of the villagers to join her in welcoming the arrival of Spring by taking part in a special celebration.
Rating: G for good times (let me know if I need to change it)

[Luna stands in the center of the square, her mane and tail flowing behind her. Yes, she is a pony. Yes, she is sort of purpley-blue and kind of sparkley. Yes, she is wearing a black crown on her head and "shoes" on her hooves. And also a multi-colored tan, blue, and green vest which clashes with her complexion horribly. After a while, she nods and clears her throat, raising her right hoof in salute.]

[If anyone thinks they're going to get out of a traditional royal speech, then they are sadly mistaken. In fact, some people who didn't show up for the event might even be able to hear her booming voice.]

Greetings fair villagers!! We are Princess Luna, and we would like to thank each of you for attending the First Annual Luceti Winter Wrap Up Celebration! It is a great honor for us to be able to share a small piece of Equestrian culture with all and everycreature!

[She rears up, front hooves pointed towards the sky. Dramatic much?]

Now!! Without further ado, let us join together to take part in this glorious event! Let Winter Wrap Up begin!

[Luna lowers herself back onto all four legs and adds a moment later, in a much softer voice:] ...Oh. And, if thou hast any questions, thou art welcome to ask us.

Yeah, it takes everyone awhile to get used to them. ...But at least you don't have quills poking at them if you move 'em the wrong way.

[That's actually said in typical Sonic good spirit rather than as a complaint.]

[That. Sounds horribly painful, Sonic. Hers are already cramped just because she was sleeping on them. Quills? Ow.]

Ah'm Applejack. Real pleasure t'meetya, Sonic.

[She'll even tip her hat to you, good sir hedgehog. And grin.]

Are ya here for Winter Wrap Up too? Seems like Princess Luna drew up quite a crowd.

Yeah, I decided to check it out when I heard about it. Always up for a party. Don't know anything about planting, but I think I can do somethin' about those clouds.

...As long as Dash doesn't mind a hand.

[honestapples]

Ah don't think she'll mind. She's usually got a whole wing of pegasus ponies ta work with.

[Although he's got her curiosity on how he's supposed to clear clouds.] You can fly too, then?

Nope! But that doesn't mean I don't have my ways!

[honestapples]

[There's something she's missing, isn't there.] How're ya gonna get up there?

[He gives a thumb back to one of the community buildings.... and it looks like he's set up a small makeshift ramp on the side of it, leading up the wall. It probably don't answer the question on its own, or is just utterly absurd.]

[Nnnnope. Not ringing any bells. She looks at the ramp, then back at Sonic, then back at the ramp.]

[With that, Sonic curls into a ball and revs up like an engine, peeling out in a Spin Dash, bee lining right to the ramp. The moment he hits it, he rights himself into a running position, and uses the Sonic Boost to run straight up the wall and launch himself into the sky!

In the air, he spins back into a ball again, and begins circling an area as he comes near the clouds, conjuring up a Blue Tornado, which begins to disperse the clouds in the area.]

[When the tornado clears, Sonic plummets back down to the side of the community building wall, his quills gripping the wall and slowing his descent as he hits the ramp gain, rolling back along the ground back to Applejack, where he stops and flips upright again fluidly.]

[She thinks she is going to stare blankly for a moment here. Yes, Rainbow Dash does these kinds of things, but something on two legs and without wings? (Or well. Functioning wings?)]

[Although that doesn't stop the whoop of appreciation after a moment.]

Hoo-doggy, that's amazin'! No wonder you know Rainbow Dash!

Yeah, she's pretty quick, I'll give her that. But once we get out of here and our abilities aren't messed with, we'll see who's the fastest!

[Aww, now you've got her laughing, Sonic. As somepony Rainbow Dash has butted heads with competitively for ages, Applejack can appreciate that challenge better than most.]

It must burn her feathers that somepony else's as fast as her in the air. Never sat well with her that Ah can run faster on the ground.

[At least when nobody is cheating.]

Oh, it definitely does. Must admit, though. She's the first... anyone, I've met, that can actually keep up with me. Been refreshing, actually.

But don't tell her I said that.

Oh, Ah won't. Pinkie swear. [Nevermind that he probably has no idea what a Pinkie Swear is, it still stands.] She don't need nopony inflatin' her ego.
