Summary: Masaomi wanted to see his friends before the draft and ts' his birthday tomorrow. So he took the thing Mikado Announced and decided to make it on the day before to make it easier on everyone

[Well it's a "party" - Masaomi at least didn't plan for things like decorations or a cake, so there's just the video games, pool table, air hockey, and whatever else is normally here. If other people brought cake or food though, that's good! His message said that this was't planned (mostly because with is broke arm he can't lug anything and he didn't want to force that on Shikamaru. But yeah!! Let's... okay so it might not be the most enjoyable thing ever given the date, but let's interact!

I'll be making subthreads for gifts and food (the later because it's not supplied so people know what's there) but other than that make your own thread, mingle, mass log stuff ♥ If you character is a friend of Masaomi's assume he rang them about the date-change. Same for anyone who replied to Mikado's entry about it. If you want to crash it that's okay too, or say you heard from someone else or just followed someone there or... anything...]

[Gag gift for you, Masaomi, or what looks to be one. Shikamaru's gift is some sort of self-help book that he doesn't bother wrapping so much as attaching a sticky-note on it saying who it's from.

In truth, Shikamaru just switched some covers around. The actual book is this. ...he'd have gotten him something from his own world that he had better reference with, but all that's shown up in the library/shops and not been reference is the Icha-Icha series. Like hell he's giving him that. This one sounded interesting enough.

Besides that, he has an actual present that he's holding off giving until the nineteenth. (That I actually do want to thread out, whether here or elsewhere)]

But there was time to pick up some chips and dip from the supermarket, and cup cakes from the bakery, and a whole vegetable platter (with Aang in mind). Might as well take advantage of the free food shifts while we've got them, right?]

Her friends are going to be split off and divided, some remaining here, others drafted - she is going to go into space, which mildly terrifies her, not to mention all the other horrors waiting on a draft. And Aang and Toph...

Well. It was going to be a terrible couple of days for them. And she had no idea what was going to happen here. Part of her had wanted Masaomi to cancel the party entirely, instead of moving it up. But the rest of her realized that this might be the only time they could be happy together like this for a long time.

So Katara went out and, with Buffy's help, picked out a dress. She put her hair up in a loose braid, using the sparkling blue flower hair clips she had received for her 15th birthday, along with her usual hair loopies. She had debated make-up, but decided against it. She felt pretty, if a bit self-conscious.

She'd tried to get everyone else from her house to do something special too, but whether or not she was successful is to be seen. So she's here, determined to enjoy the night and do her best to make it special not only for one of her dear friends, but for all of them.]
