So... meanwhile, back at the ranch, there were opportunities for those who have caught their journals to know who's coming, and those who have not caught their journals to be taken by surprise at the new Water Tribe member in the house.

[Great things... greatness... That only reminds her of the party Tarrlok threw for her. It twists a know in her stomach. But even so Korra stands so that she may bow back. Hers is not deep enough to be completely formal, but deep enough to show some respect.]

Yeah, well I bet I've heard more about you.

[He gives a nervous laugh.]

Well I do already have a completed story in your time. [His smile flickers slightly. Right. I'm dead.] But Ikki finds lots of more words to make up for it.

[She laughs back in the same manner.]

Yeah, she's got a mouth on her all right.

She does, but she's amazing. So, uh, I see you made it here okay. You met... the others yet?

Yeah, pretty much. The house is really full.

Oh, that's great! I hope you're all getting along. [He nervously rubs his head.] It's kind of weird. People from your time just keep showing up lately.

Well we [Tarrlok and she] were told that people come here in cycles.

That's right. But we've never had anyone from our future until this cycle. And- did you say there was someone with you?

Yeah, another guy from my time. His name is Tarrlok.

Wow, another one? Jinora and Asami came at the same time, too. Is he part of the family?

No. [She says this in a "How could you ever" voice, even if she knows Aang has no clue who he is.]

Oh. Is he... not nice?

He apparently kidnapped me... and is a bloodbender.

Was a bloodbender. [She caught that from Ikki's outbursts on the journal, but... she really hasn't registered it until now. Wow.]

[He gasps.]

W-what? A... a bloodbender?! There's a bloodbender [There's another bloodbender?] here?!

Was! Was a bloodbender. His bending got taken away.

[Wow Korra just. Tell everybody about it. But it's Aang - so it's like telling herself, right?]

[He knows this is meant to be reassuring, but it's accompanied by the reminder that there's someone going around taking away bending. He tried to get my family. He went after the last Airbenders.

Aang calmly takes a seat.]

Korra, there's... there's a lot we have to talk about. I don't know where to start.

I'm guessing "the beginning" might be a little far back.

[He pauses.]

I don't even know where the beginning would be. But... I want to know about people's bending being taken away. How can it be possible? [He looks at her sternly] Am... am I responsible in any way?

I don't know. [She's useless.]

Asami does. Ask her. [Out valued by the pretty girl again.]

Oh. [He blinks, loosens and sinks in his seat.]

She knows, but you don't? [And he thought she was just some ordinary friend...] Then... how did you beat stop him?

I'm not from... the same time as her.

You came here from earlier? But you know about the Amon guy?

I actually heard about Amon the first day I arrived in Republic City.

[She just... didn't pay attention that much because the protester was annoying.]

Right, I've heard about Republic City. That means you came from one of the poles?

Yep. Spent my whole life in the South Pole before then.
