So... meanwhile, back at the ranch, there were opportunities for those who have caught their journals to know who's coming, and those who have not caught their journals to be taken by surprise at the new Water Tribe member in the house.

Two? I... I think I heard something about you having trouble with Airbending? [It's hard to remember every detail from Ikki's longer rants.]

You heard right. No airbending, and no spiritual stuff either.

None... at all? [It was so hard for Aang to imagine. Airbending was like breathing to him, and spirituality was his thinking.] Have you started your training yet?

I have. I've been learning the forms, meditating, and practicing with gates. Yet still nothing! No floating, no flying, not even a measly puff of air!

[He hesitates for a moment, despite a bubble of warmth at being reminded of the gates. Then he tentatively reaches a hand for Korra's shoulder.]

It's okay, Korra. Sometimes, you can have a lot of trouble with one element. But I'm here, and I'm gonna help you learn it. [Again? He's sure Ikki mentioned that she learned Airbending eventually.]

[A smile tugs at the corner of her mouth, but it's not a full one.]

It'll be my honor, Avatar Korra. I really like being able to teach Airbending, anyway. [Pause as he thinks.] The spiritual stuff will be harder... since there's no Spirit World here, so there'll be no way to check.

At least it's not like it's something I can miss.

Well either way, learning Airbending could be a good key to spirituality. There are a few who are like spirits here, too. [A small pause, as he rests his hands on the couch.] So if you haven't reached your spiritual side... does that mean you've never met me?

Well once I had this weird hallucination...

A hallucination? What do you mean?

Like a dream? But I wasn't really trying to contact you then. It was more like... flashes? A vision?

That's weird. What did I look like? And what was I doing?

It wasn't really all that clear?

Oh. So it was that brief. And meditating about it hasn't helped?

If it did, I'd do it more often.

It might be something important... but if you figure out later, than one of the others might already know... Maybe we can reach try to figure it out in our training. More meditation always helps!

[She blows a raspberry. UGH MEDITATION IS BORING. But she won't say that in front of (herself?) Aang.]

[This manages to make Aang laugh.]

At least I didn't use up all the humor in the Avatar spirit.

[He almost does.]

Oh... uh, yeah! I definitely get it! [A slight forced laugh.] Good one, Korra! Or should I say, Aang!

[And then she just laughs at him - despite the fact that would probably be her reaction to it too.]

[Aang laughs some more along with her laughter, even if he's still not sure if he actually got it.]

It'll be even more confusing when we're around Roku. [He pauses for a moment as he actually realizes it.] Wow, three living Avatars in the same place at the same time!
