So... meanwhile, back at the ranch, there were opportunities for those who have caught their journals to know who's coming, and those who have not caught their journals to be taken by surprise at the new Water Tribe member in the house.

That actually doesn't sound half bad.

Right now? You should probably be finding a place to live, figuring out all the things that will happen to you, and maybe testing the limits of your bending. But that can wait until tomorrow.

[He knocks his chair, tosses his feet up on the table and rests his hands behind his back.]

Right now, just enjoy the soda.

You know what? I think I will.

[She smiles and takes a swig. Procrastination. That's the answer.]

[Atta girl. Sokka soaks up the cool air in the house, takes another sip from the soda, misjudges his angle, starts coughing, and then falls over. Still coughing. And his entire front covered in orange soda.

He stands up. Drenched.]

... maybe procrastination is overrated.

[Korra can't help but laugh. A good, maybe a little loud, and hearty laugh. She even slaps her leg.]

Smooth move there, Famous Guy.

[Haha, laugh it up. Sokka is just going to groan at the mess.]

Could you... you know?

[Bend it off him and off the ground. Lest Katara spot it first.]

[With a nod and grin Korra stands up from her chair. She sets her own can of soda down before water bending the liquid Sokka spilled everywhere back into its container.]

[It still left it orange and sticky, but at least it's dry.]

I'll be right back. [To stomp off to this room.]

[She laughs again and takes her seat. Okay, so maybe staying a night or two won't be so bad.]

[He comes back a few minutes later, now with just a regular blue T-Shirt that he had lying around.]

[Sokka sits down again. But. Doesn't kick up his feet this time.]

So, which village were you raised in?

I actually spent most of my life in a compound with the Order of the White Lotus.

Wow. That sounds pretty dull. I mean, the White Lotus are great guys. But still.

Yeah, it mostly sucked.

Was there anyone around to hang out with?

Nope. Just old people and guards.

Wow. And I thought my village was empty. How long have you been in Republic City?

Eh, I dunno, about a month? [Give or take.]

Wow. And those are the only places you've been?

Y-ep. The city is pretty cool, though. I like it there.

[If you... you know, take away all the problems it has.]

I guess I'll get to see it someday. Eventually. You know... after building it.

[Which sounds incredibly daunting to him.]
