Who: Korra, Asami, Jinora, Ikki, Aang, Roku, Sokka, Zuko, Toph, and Katara
What: There's a new Avatar in town!
When: July 9th
Where: House Avatar
Summary: Just your average worlds colliding.
Rating: G for "greet?"
So... meanwhile, back at the ranch, there were opportunities for those who have caught their journals to know who's coming, and those who have not caught their journals to be taken by surprise at the new Water Tribe member in the house.

It doesn't get any easier.

Yeah, there are plenty of people who are incredibly skilled if you want a spar. And in the Battle Dome, you can go against any kind of opponent you want - and it's got a bunch of other settings too. I don't really use it for that, but I know people who do.
[But she's still not moving - she's got something she wants to say here.]

I know this has got to be incredibly difficult for you, Korra. It's really strange for us too. I just turned seventeen, I've been here for nearly three years, and for me the war still isn't over. It's hard enough adjusting to being in this strange place without being surrounded by people from your - past - or your future. Hearing about everything from Ikki, Jinora, and Asami... having to deal with meeting your past lives - I think you've handled everything really well today.
So I want you to know that you're welcome to stay with us as long as you like... and you're also welcome to find your own place. You've been hit with a lot today, and I wouldn't blame you if you needed time and space to clear your head and get your feet back underneath you.
[Pause for breath.]
I'm not kicking you out. I just wanted to let you know that the door is opened both ways, and no one will be offended no matter what you choose.
[And if they are, she'll talk to them.
...she feels a little self-conscious that she suddenly went into all that and her smile turns a bit sheepish.]
Okay?

...Is it okay if I keep coming to dinner, though?

[And, great, another person to cook for. Dinner is Family Time and frankly, for a heartbeat or so, she's protective of it. But then, Korra is family to Jinora and Ikki and that makes it... yeah.]
Sure. Dinner is from six to six thirty every night. Let me know if you're not going to be coming. House Rules are that you either help cook or you help clean, no one has to do both.
[Dinner isn't free. Because if you're going to be family, you're going to be family. You contribute to the community. That's what makes it work.]

[Korra you probably have never done either.]

[Speech delivered, Katara's satisfied with the points she made for the night.]
Do you want to keep walking or head back?
