Assistance is needed immediately at the farms to the northwest of the village. We have hostiles and--

[The oddly cool, clipped tone that the message was given suddenly breaks off into a heated bark.] Putain de merde!

[There's a rustle of pages and the sound of bodies colliding, followed more swearing in French.

The feed cuts out.

Hurry, Luceti.]

[As they begin to close in on the mob, she slows down. Taking in the spectacle, Noel... Noel suddenly doesn't know what to do. All her morale up to that point had nearly been taken away.

Nearly.

Her uncertainty begins to show even more, however, and as the mobs grow even more rowdier she stiffens. How do you calm down a mob without resorting to force?

She glances to Yuri. He would know what to do, right?]

That would be what they have under their sleeve. They usually arm themselves with advanced technology.

[Well, advanced for the 1940s maybe, but still pretty impressive. And powerful.]

Find cover where you can! [He's still relatively safe behind his shield. For now.]

[Some of the crowd seems to be calming down, but not nearly enough to make things more relaxed. Steve is starting to think nothing they say will make a difference at this point. He turns to Mercury and speaks low.]

I don't think this is going to work.

[She's quick to see it, too. What should she do? Most ways she has of protecting this place might not work with her powers in disarray - using her ice to pause the people without hurting them, or forming a barrier with the other senshi if they were here.

Unfortunately, as she becomes agitated, her feet rise gently off the ground. It's only been a few days since she returned from the Malnosso, and she's still not fully used to what they've done.

If she's lucky, it might at least create a distraction- could she lead these people somewhere else, if they thought they were chasing her?]

[If Steve didn't notice him before, he definitely does after that. The roar would have been deafening had he been closer; but it still lures him in that direction.

He sees the refugees surrounding Beast and throws his shield to knock a few of them out of the way.]

Be careful with those claws. We're not trying to kill them.

[Steve watches as she rises further off the ground. He doesn't know anything about her powers, so he assumes this is normal for her.]

Do you have any ideas?

[She keeps her voice low. At this point, it seems the best option - unless he has other ideas.]

We split up and lead them away from here. Somewhere they can't do any harm.

[Luke just shakes his head and does the only smart thing in this situation, he uses the Force to yank the gun away from the Hydra trooper]

Even with this dampening, its more than enough to do that.

[And then the stormtroopers reach the Hydra agents, swords lashing out at the unarmored humans]

[That's one way to do it. And way faster than what he had been planning.]

Good work. [He jumps into the sudden onslaught, taking down the Hydra agents closest to him.]

[He considers her plan for a long moment and then nods. It sounds like the best shot they have.]

Lead them towards the village. There's more people there keeping everyone safe. We'll have more back-up there.

[Unfortunately, Yuri has next to no experience with calming down rioters, either. But there is one thing he knows he can do well enough ... It's just a matter of spotting a group that would just get more fired up in the process.

... But after glancing at Noel, he's pretty certain she's got no idea how to handle this. He really doubts she can do the same thing as him, but--]

... Just watch me.

[After that, he heads over to a group of Kin'Corrans that aren't carrying any weapons, and don't seem quite as enraged as some of the ones others are dealing with. When he calls out to them, his tone is very sharp.]

Hey! You mind explaining what's going on here?

[The group doesn't seem overly phased, yelling back about how Lucetians aren't sharing, and how they're here to take what they're owed.

... and at the risk of not turning this into a novel, YURI USES INTIMIDATE, IT'S NOT SUPER EFFECTIVE BUT EVENTUALLY A SMALL HANDFUL OF THOSE GUYS LEAVE ALL PISSED OFF AND STUFF. Stuff about "you aren't owed anything here", "don't you dare assume anything of us", and "you think rioting is really going to make this crap any better". It was all scary-like, really.]

[At first, she worries that's also bringing hostile people to a place they can do even more damage - to stores, even houses. Raiding. But then she realizes Steve is right: there'll be more people to help, there, and the resources will have a better chance of being divided fairly, proving their good intent. She nods.]

I'm going, then!

[She hurries closer to the people, making her way carefully towards the village even as she seems to give up ground.]

[He adjusts his shield onto his forearm, making sure it won't slip off if he has to make a run for it. Although he has no doubt he could probably out-run a majority of these people.

He gives Mercury a nod.] Gook luck. And be careful!

[And then he's taking off in another direction, luring the other half of the crowd away from the farm.]

[A few of the crowd - more than a few, she notes a bit nervously - grumble that they won't let her run away. They start to close in.

Good. She won't make it easy. She, too, is fast, more than she's ever been strong, and her mobility isn't much impaired by the power dampening.]

[Rin's flames, where they are, burn away the flies But right now, he can't actually control his flames well. It's just around his shoulder and head. So he sort of rolls his shoulders and shakes his head to try to make things burn up. But as he's doing things like this the other demon (hereafter Beelzebub even though he didn't say his name out loud) rushes up to knee Rin in the fact. It's a blindingly fast movement... or would be without the 10% limit. It;s still fast.]

[Very, very scary. So scary that not once did Noel step in to give her two cents at the risk of making things a million times worse. At the rate things were going, she was certain one of them would have attacked had something gone wrong.

But it didn't, and as some of the Kin'Corrans left the premises she looked between the group and back to Yuri, stunned.]

They listened to you... [Her eyes trail over to the rest of the mob, however, and her heart sinks as she remembers that this isn't over quite yet.

Though it was a small accomplishment in itself, they still had more to take care of from there -- and no doubt the ones with weapons would be as understanding.]

[And then Luke is upon the Hydra troopers, his lightsaber removing limbs. Between the Captain, the Jedi, and the Stormtroopers, they're quickly neutralized.]

[Luke's pretty grossed out, but he's not going to let that stop him. Its not his favorite tactic, but he taps into the Force and sends out a telekinetic burst, throwing back the gross flies and giving him room to work. His staff swings out, smacking into the fly demon.]

Stay away!

[He steps back from the group, sighing while looking into the crowd again. This was going to take a lot more than just scaring off the weaker-willed rioters, that's for sure.]

Yeah, if that's what you want to call it. I was almost positive one of them was gonna try taking a swing at me, though.

[But that aside--]

Anyway, try to look for anyone who's unarmed or hanging back and talk them down like that. So long as you hold your ground, they'll usually back off, thinking you're more than you seem to be. [... The key word being usually.] It's obviously not going to work on any of the armed ones, so don't try it with them. I doubt they'll be impressed.

[It's a small band of guards here, but it will have to do for the moment. They're all dedicated, if nothing else; hopefully that will be enough to work in their favor, because Jack is no expert with a sword despite the one that he's currently holding in his hand. (It's more for show than anything else, though he DOES know the basics of how to use it.)]

This is Nami's orchard. Stealing from a lady who isn't even present is beyond cowardly!

[Do it herself? It's not like she can complain and keep hiding behind Yuri -- she was the one who came here on her own accord.

Besides... Noel is a former officer of the NOL. She was trained for things of this nature. Supposedly.

Catching a group of (hopefully) unarmed individuals, Noel sets her mind into action and gives Yuri a hasty nod.] I'll take care of the ones over there.

[Wish her luck, Yuri... she walks over, trying her hardest to fight off any anxiety she's beginning to feel. It's been a while, okay?

Deep breaths, Noel.]

...all of you, back down! None of us mean any harm to the Kin'Corrans! There's no need to fight like this!

["Who the hell do you think you are!?" "Yeah! Go home, girl, if you know what's good for you!"]

Noel hesitates for a moment.

Those hateful eyes, and the scorn in their voices... it's too familiar for Noel. She swears it's like these are civilians from her own world.

Just because there's a sense of familiarity doesn't make it any easier, though.]

You're wrong! Luceti has experienced just as much hardship! We want to help you, not...!

["Shut up!"

"You're full of shit!"

"Malnosso lapdogs!"

"We're starving! There's no food! You know where it is, don't you!?"

"Where's the food!?"]

C-Calm down! Because of the food shortage, there's simply not enough mouths to feed-- It has nothing to do with hiding anything!

[... it's like watching the school bullies beat up a puppy. Man, he should've figured she try to reason with them instead of making them want to back off. Yuri can't help sighing to himself, but he stays back for now, quietly watching Noel to see how she plans on handling this.

Although, if things keep going in the direction he thinks they're going in ...]

[Well thanks for helping Yuri!!! Not that she's asking you or anything. Nope. Time to keep reasoning.]

You all need to think about this more clearly! Why would--ah!?

[She caught someone in the crowd throwing their arm in her direction, and instincts taking over she quickly ducks. A rock the size of her fist comes flying barely over her head.

If her reflexes weren't as good, Yuri would have ended up dragging her back to the clinic.]

...what do you think you're doing!? [Shaking, she somehow manages to stand up straight again.] Stand down, now!

["Hand over the food!" "We'll kick your ass!" "Lucetian bastards!" "More weapons!"]

I'm warning you-- Stand down! I don't want to have to use force!

[Yeaaaaah, this is getting bad. When the laughing starts up, Yuri just walks over to Noel and grabs her by the shoulder.]
