Prescribed Recreation part 3: Chillax'n with a Vengeance
Who: House 44, House 46, House 3, Saori, Steve Rogers, and whoever wanders in
What: Movie night on the beach
When: September 9th, in the evening
Where: The Beach
Summary: After an unfortunate tussle with a Chaos God, work on a farm, a swarm of refugees and stress piled upon stress, sometimes all anyone wants is to sit back and watch classic movies.
Rating: PG for possible adult language
Something that everyone could agree on was this: the past three weeks had been several shades of stressful. What they needed, what they all needed was something mindless and relaxing shared in the company of those they care for in a neutral environment. The beach works well enough, and it's not that far a trip for anyone involved.

[It's easy to reach down and scritch the top of Luminair's head, the little dragon just lent itself to affection so well. Having the dragon pleased also helped Helios to smile more often, and that was something Adele was in favor of any day.]
Perhaps if the weather remains favorable you, Sabriel, and I could have lunch here one day? Nothing fancy, but it would be good for both of you, and I know Sabriel misses your company.
...It is. I think he also prefers Danish in the mornings, but not often. I shall sort it out later.

[ Helios smiles lightly as Luminair chirps happily from that pet. His tail wagging as he gives Adele's hand an affectionate little nudge. Helios is silent for a moment or two. ]
I-I think that would be nice. Before the weather gets colder, one last day on the beach would be lovely. M-Maybe we could take the MAV out into the ocean as well. I feel terrible for not t-taking her out lately. [ He looks over at the small schooner in the distance. ]
Danish, hm? I could teach you how to bake th-those if you wanted? Homemade danishes are absolutely delicious.

[She follows Helios' gaze to the schooner, remembering those that helped him sail it before with a pang of bittersweet memory. It's part of why she never asked, not really.]
Really? I would appreciate that a great deal. It'd be more personal that simply bringing him some from the cafe in the mornings.

M-Maybe I'll...stop by the house sometime and, and show you? [ He's not sure if he should move back in or not. ]

[It'd be a lovely way to spend the day, truly. The three of them, little Luminair, the ocean, such as it was.]
That would be lovely, Helios. I could make you some of those macarons as well if you like.
[He's welcome whenever he feels fit to return. Adele misses living with him, with Sabriel. It wasn't bad living with the Jedi but...House 44 was her home, and they her family.]

[ The more the merrier after all. ]
Ah. I do love your macarons. That'd be lovely. [ Acceptable payment is acceptable. ] A-And I promise not to, um, use any m-magic this time around. [ A sheepish laugh as he runs a hand through his hair. ]

[She shrugs.]
A cream sauce, fresh mussels, a mild goat cheese and apples.

[ Helios' eyes widen a little at that. ] That sounds delicious actually. I've never had a pizza like that, then again, I don't eat it very often.

[Cottage, yes. It had been a joy for her, a reprieve from the studying, the drills, the endless personal schooling. All her happiest memories of her childhood are bound up in that one, modest building.]

What did your...cottage look like? Back home I mean. [ He sounds thoughtful and slightly sad as he asks that question. ]

[What had it looked like? Oh now that brought back a warm wave of memories. She takes a moment to find a stick and starts to draw out in thin lines what she remembers.]
It was an old building- very old. Updating the wiring and plumbing was a pain, apparently, but my father had most of that sorted by the time we were spending the summer there. It had three levels- a root celler where my father kept his wine, the main floor, and an upper floor that was partly an attic. It was made of worn stone and stained wood- the floor in the kitchen was a little warped but we learned to live with it.

[ He believes in your abilities Adele, he does! Now you just have to believe in him who believes in you. He gives a slight wave of his hand. He stops and listens to her words though. A small warm smile touching his lips. ] It sounds like it has a lot of history to it. I...own one as well, back home. From the way yours sounds it, it reminds me of it.
[ He has that with warm and a touch of sadness in his voice. There were a lot of good memories in that tiny little cottage. ] It's always the places you d-don't expect that have the biggest character a-and...and some of the nicest memories.

[Her father's father's father, perhaps? Or was it her mother's side of the family? She never could remember, there was a reason they had notecards and plaques about the manor when she was young. Like living in a museum, sometimes.] It was modest compared to the family home but...I loved how rustic it was. Some of my very favorite childhood memories come from it.
