["Luke" really can't believe this is happening. One moment she's backing away from him and pleading with him to not hurt her - his eyes are still a little red from that, even, and the next, she's accepting his offer to dance. Why did he even ask, anyway? They're scared and don't know what's going on and - they're going to dance.
His smile widens when she takes his hand and moves naturally into position. Somehow, it's a position he knows. It could be muscle memory, even though he's not feeling the least bit confident in himself and his ability right now.
He looks at the picture of the two of them, dancing and smiling and laughing and so happy together, and he wonders if he can really be anything like that.
Luke doesn't have the memory of how to be a noble to rely on. Thus, he doesn't straighten up like one properly should when inviting a lady to dance. But he does take in a deep breath, and he takes a step back and begins to dance.
It's not nearly as extravagant as the picture seems to say they're able to - he at least knows where his feet go and how to lead her into the steps with him, but he isn't sure about the... twirling and whatever other advanced moves comes with it. Even so, he still smiles with a tiny blush on his face.
