[There will be some differences in the way Aang looks for these days. Shortly after he wakes up and reads his flash card... he becomes convinced that he is a Firebender named Bonzu Pippinpaddle-Oppsokopolis II, who is naturally bald and has an embarrassing skin condition which gives him blue arrow-like marks. His baldness and tattoos will be concealed - with a hoodie hat that he finds around the house, as well as a pair of gloves around his hands. Shortly after first wearing the gloves, he takes a kitchen knife to cut the gloves' fingers off. It had felt weird to restrain his fingers like that, even though he knew this must have been a daily thing for him. On the first day, from the morning into the afternoon, he spends his time around the house, trying to find out who else lives here and what else they knows. But first he contents himself with examining all the strange devices around the house, and idly playing around with some marbles that he found on his person.

Throughout the following days, Aang tries to work on his Firebending skills. He'll be checking the library for any books or scrolls that could help him to learn. And he will try to practice in a variety of areas around the village. Except... there's a chance of accidental fires when he starts to actually bend it. Or perhaps you find him at a quieter moment; sometimes for whole minutes, Aang will break off from practicing firebending to just take in the air and appreciate fresh autumn breeze.

Unbenownst to Aang, he is also slowly growing hair under his hat over the course of these days. It's not much, but he will be quite surprised when he finds out.]

[Rydia -or 'Rosa-, as her nametag says- will find Aang during one of these moments of Firebending practice. Curious, she pauses her tour to watch. The dangers of accidental fires don't occur to her right away, but should that happen near her, she might be in for a surprise as to what happens next.]

[Today a young girl woke up in her room with no memory of her life. She frantically stumbled out, without any clue of who she was and where she was, until she found a certain flashcard. She read the odd card and only became more confused by it. She was dead? And a ghost? But how can she be dead if she's still alive and knows it? That's just weird! She looked out her window and noticed people walking around and got an idea. People can't normally see ghosts, right? If that's the case...

The girl then got dressed and hatched a scheme. She knew nothing else but what was on the card, but she had to make sure if this card was lying or not. And so she goes out and begins to lurk behind the trees and in the bushes, waiting.

So, if someone is to walk by her hiding place, she will jump out and holler--]

BOOOOO!!!

[With her face warped into a demonic look. Because this is surely the best way to test if she is a ghost or not.]

[And here's another amnesiac, wandering down the street and trying to see if anything of the town seems familiar. Too fretful about what's happening has her a bit distracted, and thus an easy target. The loud boo causes her to shriek loudly, jumping back.]

Hn, another day, another of the usual treats in Luceti. ...And there's a thunderstorm right outside his window. That's pleasant.

He yawns, and gets out of bed; it wasn't any different from what he was used to, but something felt off about today. He just wasn't sure of what. Maybe he'd find out if he did a little searching through town for the next few days... He checks in on Yukiko and Naoto that morning before going off into town with an umbrella to see what's up. What was so off, anyway? It couldn't have been anything serious...

...Could it?

28th

The storm's still there. Great.

He hates having to investigate through bad weather, but he has to if he's going to get to the bottom of this; so he goes out again, umbrella still in hand, trying to scour for people he'd recognize.

He could only hope that what's happening is not as bad as it is on the surface.

29th-30th

As soon as the weather clears, he's getting back out there again--by now, whatever's going on in the village has made itself more than obvious, so now he's making a more thorough effort in trying to help those who've been afflicted by the experiment. He can only hope he actually pulls this off well enough, whether on his own or with the only close friend he had that wasn't affected; things are going to be as hectic as they were at the end of last month, and he wasn't going to take any chances.]

Any Day

[When Spike woke up, he couldn't remember a thing. His headache was a doozie and he was trying to figure out what happened last night. Or the day before. Or anything. For awhile, he stood in the mirror with a suspicious feeling that something was really wrong about what he was seeing. After finding a somewhat informative card, he at least knows who he is.

Buffy Anne Summers. Vampire Slayer.

It takes him awhile to get a grip on his new identity. But eventually he's around town wearing what any decent Slayer would, topped by his usual long coat. He's even slightly gelled up his hair a bit, because how could he not? It needed it. Despite the suspicious feeling that he's not who he should be, he's trying to get a grip on his life. Like the fact that he's supposed to get married. That there's wedding magazines around the house. That he has an invitation to some kind of wedding... and well. Life is complicated, clearly.

But life goes on and he's going to the stores to try and ask for a job if he can find anyone there who looks like they're working. While also trying to scope out... potential vampires. He stops at the library at some point to check out some books on the subject.]

29th. evening.

Buffy Summers could not currently recall that she was Buffy Summers. Instead, she quite firmly believed that she was one William Pratt. And why not? The card told her so. And while some details seemed hazy or ill-fitting, others seemed perfect. Yes, she did feel like someone who'd had an impact upon the entire world. And yes she did feel a little high-societyish; at least, she certainly felt imperious.

But she didn't feel like a 'he'. And yet all preliminary self-examinations confirmed that she was indeed a man and a rather cool-skinned one at that. In shape. Kinda pale. That must've been a high society thing, too. She didn't have a reflection, though. That was weird. But some nagging half-memory told her she could expect that from a person like her. So it wasn't too troublesome.

An attempt on the previous day to step outside during the daylight had brought about some massive discomfort and perhaps some minor burns. Knowing better now, she waited until sunset on the 29th to venture over to the town's library. Dressed smartly, as an upper-class man was wont to do, she would just have to start researching what was wrong with herself. Himself. Hmm. And maybe check out a few poetry anthologies at the same time.

And then maybe pick up a snack. The poet was hungry.

While passing a desk, 'William Pratt' passes a young woman he did remember seeing at the house he'd woken up in. They hadn't spoken much; everyone had been in such disarray on that first morning. But by gum, she seemed so...familiar. Compelling. As if she'd known that face all her life. It was hard to take eyes off her even as 'William' reached for a thick book of verse.

Fumbling with the volume, she quietly stammered: "Ah. Miss Summers, was it?"

[ This is.. strange. It's strange, isn't it? People usually aren't supposed to wake up like this, right? Feeling so strangely woozy-- or rather, not being able to remember anything at all. That's probably why Madoka is so glad for the card which she manages to find after some moments of panicking. She reads it over and over (not even questioning whether it's true or not) while nodding to herself a little.

.. Well.. maybe if she just listens to the card and try her best, she'll get to remember, right? But.. she doesn't remember how to transform, no matter how hard she tries, so what should she do then?! She needs to fulfill her duty even when she can't actually transform, right?

The first day Madoka can be seen fractically looking through the item shop for a pink dress. Which, in the end, she does find - and even though it doesn't look like her actual canon magical girl outfit (not that she'd even know what it looks like, though..) it's close enough to her.

So the rest of the duration of the event, Madoka can be seen wearing it all over Luceti, constantly running around no matter the weather. If she manages to spot someone doing something, no matter how mundane, or even when someone is just doing nothing at all, she'll run over. ]

Um..! P-please, let me help you!

28th, right in the middle of the bad weather.

[He peeks over at Madoka just as he starts approaching Seventh Heaven...and blinks. What was she doing? The last time he checked, she didn't have anything like that with her.]

Help me with what? I'm just going somewhere.

[Early morning of the 27th]
When she woke that morning, her first instinct had been to think of what she had to accomplish for the day... and when she realized that she couldn't remember that, she found that she could not remember anything else, either: who she was, where she was, what she was doing here... What followed was a flurry of activity and noise - throwing open her closet to find unfamiliar clothes and looking for something - anything to tell her who she was.

Whoever ends up checking on her that morning would find her sitting on an unkempt bed in a rumpled nightgown and sleep tousled hair: one hand pressed over her eyes and taking deep, calming breaths.

Outside, the already fierce winds seemed to howl in time with her breathing.

After slowly disovering what it was that she was capable of, Ororo wondered if perhaps the little card she eventually found was telling the truth: that she really was a goddess...! After all, if she concentrated hard enough, she could make the sky cry for her. That... was pretty badass, all things considered.

So, if that was true, then surely the rest was right? The card mentioned she had a family here...! Where were they? What did they look like? She had to find them, especially if they meant as much to her as the card claimed! Once she figured that there were no useful answers to be found in the house that she woke up in, she decided to spend the next few days in the village, doing some pretty intense people-watching, and walking up to seemingly random strangers with a self-important, "Excuse me, but have we met?"

Desperate? Maybe a little! But anyone would be, if they woke up with no memories at all...!

Early Morning - 27th

[James emerges from his room around the time she does, looking mighty suspicious, bewildered, and somewhat panicked. After all.

He has six claws sticking out of his hands. And wings. And good god, this is the worst thing that has happened in his ten minutes long memory.]

Show yourselves! What have you done to me!?

[morning of the 27th; locked to Jack Vessalius]

[Blank, that's what his head is. Leo wakes up like how he aways does every morning (that is to say, with a book over his face and glasses askew) but what's missing is how he has absolutely no idea what's going on. Or how he's gotten there. Odd, very odd.

Of course, when that happens, one does tend to rely on what they can perceive from the surrounding environment and quite unfortunately, Leo's eyesight is a little compromised from the glasses that he wears. So if the card by his bed goes woefully unnoticed in the mess of books-- well, that isn't quite surprising, now is it? So if he stumbles out the door, foot caught on a book on his floor, and right into someone possibly walking in the hallway, hopefully whoever's out there is willing to catch him.

Or break his fall, that's good too.]

[To those who recognise Leo, he certainly looks very different this time round. Hair tied at the back (rather messily, old habits die hard, even in cases like this), neater than usual, spectacle-less and a red cloak on the 29th onwards-- why, it's as if he's an entirely different person altogether! Kind of regal, kind of...lordlike? Maybe.

Whatever it is, when the weather clears up on the 29th, it's not impossible to find him walking around the village and trying to take in the entire area. Perhaps you have some sort of headwear-- he'll be giving you a wide berth. He'll try not to be too obvious about that, granted. Or perhaps you'll catch him conversing with himself:

"You're not real." "Shut up!" "Go away!"

Weird guy, really.]

[It's been quieter these days, a lot quieter, but Elliot wouldn't have had it any other way. Since Gilbert went home, he hadn't been in the best of moods, so he didn't really want to deal with anyone, but it was unusual for Leo to not be so... well, persistent. He was always around even if Elliot didn't want him to be, so the fact that he hadn't seen him almost first thing in the morning is rather strange.

Without Gilbert around, going out to eat is a lot more tempting. Annoyingly public, but probably for the best, so Elliot decides to track down his servant so they can do just that. He has to double-take when he does spot him, however... or at least, a person who definitely doesn't look like Jack hanging around inside the house.

[Leonhardt didn't find his memory was gone when he woke up, though since others in his house did, he's quite aware of the current experiment going on.

He definitely will be trying to find anyone he knows to see how many others are affected and if he can be of any help to them. Otherwise he'll be going about his normal routine of training a lot and normal things around the village and such. He'll most easily be found near house 24 and the Battle Dome, but can be found in the plaza off and on as well.]

[Saleh will take a break of his own amidst the confusion and head over to the Battle Dome. Although he hasn't lost his memory, the experiment leaves him just as rattled, trying to help as many people as he can. It doesn't help that he doesn't really know that many people personally...]

[He enters the Battle Dome with a pause, contemplating on what kind of scenario to create.]

[Man, she could really go for a trip to the Battledome right now, after what happened on that mission. In fact, that's just what she'll do for the next few days so she can vent out any stray feelings. She needs to get back into the swing of things, anyway. Maybe she'll catch a familiar face or two, while she's there.

...She won't be oblivious to the changes, though, as some of her housemates were bound to be affected by the mess.

Shepard will linger at her second home for the next four days, tinkering with the limits of the battledome's console, heading out for a meal during the afternoon, and occasionally dropping by the Clinic. If she comes across anyone she recognizes during any of those times, that'll be a nice bonus to add to getting around so much.]

[While Shepard is fiddling with the console in the Battle Dome, she'll be approached by a kid. Jason's not wearing his costume like his flashcard seemed to suggest he should, but a regular jacket and some jeans. There's no name tag, either—he'd rather not come across as one of the many people with amnesia around here.]

Um, excuse me? Do you have a minute?

[She seemed to know what she was doing, so he thinks that maybe she could help him out a little bit.]

She presses closer to the source of warmth in front of her, not yet awake enough to realize everything she doesn't know. But it's comfortable there, tucked under a sheet, curled up against someone.

Too bad someone turned on a really bright light nearby. That's a little annoying.

[Any other time, open to all!]
Some time after the disaster that is her morning, Virginia (as she now knows herself to be, thanks to her card heads out into the village. Though it feels silly, she wears the name tag that has been provided to her; if everyone really has forgotten, it should be easier that way. Of course, she still hopes someone will recognize her.

Failing that, however, Virginia is on her own, left to explore the village for answers. She won't find the gallery any time soon, but when she does get there, she starts searching high and low for clues to her apparent crime syndicate. Whatever she does, she apparently hides it well--all Virginia can find are paintings, pottery, and other art.

Her job isn't the only thing her card talks about, however, and Virginia walks around the village often, looking for answers and for people. Sometimes she just watches, trying to figure out if anything is familiar (when it never is), and sometimes she walks right up to a person and asks who they are.

It doesn't take long for her to agree with the card: hopefully this is all temporary.

[Loki doesn't recognize Pepper of course, though he notices that she's quite pretty and looks nice, though even at this point he's not naive enough to think looking nice means actually nice.

Still, everyone's been quite kind to him so far.

He also sees the nametag and realizes they must be in the same situation. It is, he's decided, preferable to be confused and a bit scared with other people rather than alone.

He gives her a friendly smile as he approaches.]

Hello... Virginia? That's a pretty name. We seem to have the same problem.

[His smile is a bit sheepish now.]

Except your bit of the problem doesn't seem to have come with a sling, so I think you're a bit luckier.

[Early morning of November 27th: Locked to Syre Atreis]

[He awoke in a groggy haze that morning, lying in a bed that was wholly unfamiliar in a wholly unfamiliar room with a wholly unfamiliar woman by his side. Lupin sat up groggily--and regretted it instantly as he was hit by an unfamiliar wave of vertigo. He opened his mouth to speak, to complain--and there was no sound. Lupin flopped back onto bed with an annoyed huff. In his memory there were no answers, only blank space.

This.

Was.

Very.

Annoying.

But he spotted a few clues around the room. A pair of glasses. A note. Men's clothing strewn on the floor in a rumpled heap. The conclusions were obvious. He donned the glasses and reached for the note to see if it said something useful.

It did.]

[Late 27th to Early 30th]

[The conditions were obvious, and Lupin had his suspicions that the card was lying. There was no way that he was a thief. Never. There was a certain nobility in dying a hero, and being a volunteer in the Dome sounded reasonable. He spent his time around the Dome, being as helpful as he could for the sake of his coworkers. His grasp of technology surprised him. Being able to pick a lock was even more of a surprise.

The truth was indiscernible, that much he could tell. Everything warranted investigation, including the final note on his message.

Especially that final note.]

[Late 30th through the 1st]

[Community House 5. It was always Community House 5. His feet had taken him on their own accord, once he trusted his instincts. Even with the aggravating lack of balance and the intermittent bouts of vertigo that smacked him when he stumbled didn't stop him once he chose not to think. The Barracks were oddly familiar. They felt right, though he couldn't say why. The area surrounding Community House 5 gave him a sense of deja vu in relation to a home that he couldn't remember. The workshop, a wooden structure that looked like it was nailed together by strong hands, was easy enough for him to find. Once inside--

Everything clicked. There were gaps still. Annoying gaps. But, Lupin realized something crucially important.

He had work to do.]

[On the morning of the 28th, Grune spots one of her friends as she's watering her garden, heading past House 34. He must be going to the Battle Dome to do some training.

She straightens and gives him a cheerful wave.]

[For Rydia: Waking up is weird since he has no idea who that green haired woman is in his bed! There's lots of silent screaming, kicking, flailing and general confusion and panic.]

[For everyone: Otherwise, what's a man to do when he's supposedly well known for his expert dancing skills? Use them, of course.]

[It's Poledance time! So, "Ricard" is going to be randomly planting his spear in the ground and then dancing around it, in front of everyone he sees while wandering outside around town. All while wearing this lovely outfit.]

[Action/29th-event end]

[There is a table in the middle of town with a sign on it reading "FREE COMPLIMENTS!" Ricard is there, still in his awfulawesome green attire, with a whole stack of cards, each with a compliment printed on them. He's found that he's... kind of bad at this, so he's made some up to just give out. Come one, come all and stop by for a compliment!! ...even though it probably won't apply to you at all.]

[Ricard really wants to figure out more about who he really is. Time to ask around. Maybe he can also take the opportunity to lift this curse on him...]

Pardon my asking, but is there anyone here by the name of Zemus? It's important that I find him. He apparently means something.

[Rydia winces as she begins to awaken; no pleasant, slow surfacing to wakefulness for her, not with that headache. She sits up, intending to go find something to ease that pain...and then gasps, scrambling away from the unfamiliar man also in her bed. Her morning coordination isn't the best, so this results in a tumble and loud thud. Ow.]

Chaos... my name is... Chaos... There is a hint of the familiar to it, but I cannot say why this still feels amiss. I must consider what this means.

I must also consider... Has anyone else had the feeling that they somehow are not alone, even within their own mind?

["Chaos" wakes up to a confusing card, and a weird feeling. He decides it's worth risking going outside, but he doesn't want to accidentally burn out there. So, once he steps outside into daylight, he crouches down with the cape held over him so that he can avoid being burned in the sunlight.]

[It takes some work, but if he concentrates enough, he gets the image of his "true form" in mind. The presences in his head are helping with that much, although they don't really have much in the way of memory for him, either. Later in the day, he'll finally get the transformation down, and can be seen in the sky above as Chaos. He'll be hanging out on rooftops as well, at this point.]

[At night/the rest of the event]

[It's far easier to be active at night, of course, and this is when Chaos should be "hunting" anyway. Apparently. He's not exactly sure how this should entirely work. There's definitely a hunter instinct in him, but he has this weird feeling that this nature isn't completely his own.]

[But beware to anyone wandering around! Suddenly a pink-flower-caped man might just swoop down on you from out of nowhere.]

At Night

[Here's a target for the nighttime hunter; a woman who stands out fairly well, thanks to the amount of green on her. She's too restless to stay inside, and needs a walk to clear her head. Too bad the timing isn't as good as she thinks....]

If I'm supposed to be a total skeptic, why should I believe anything on this card? I don't even remember this past week, let alone this past year... my whole life is a blank slate... but I want to believe there's an explanation somewhere... There's got to be an answer. I have this gut feeling that I like answers.

...Do people really pretend to do magic around here? [It sounds almost cool, even though he knows he's supposed to not believe in it.]

[Off to the store with "Alex"! He's not too sure about this, but if the card is there to help, then maybe starting with one thing will help unlock more memories. He stands in the aisle for a time, scanning the packs of cigarettes until he finds one type that rings a bell.]

Morley. Yeah, that's right...

[For some reason the sight of the brand bothers him, but he can't explain it... just like the fact that he has no ashtrays or lighters around his room. It almost makes no sense. Still, withdrawal symptoms would suck. He knows that much. So he lights one up once he's outside and heading home. Of course, this causes a pretty undignified coughing fit... Excuse him while he hacks up a lung here.]

[Action/ 28th-onward]

[Alex is a man on a mission. He's stalking around the village, looking for people to interrogate.... or serenade. He wants to get right to the heart of this mystery. There are two options for how he'll approach people:]

[1. Whenever he approaches someone he deems suspicious, he gives them a suspicious expression and an angry question. He will also draw a gun on them. He's not sure he consciously knows how to fire it, but he more or less remembers how to hold it.]

Did you kill my father? Did you?!

[2. For any women who appear to be around his age or so, he'll burst into song at them. Usually it's bits of songs that he vaguely knows without remembering... things by Elvis, or even Cher, are the most likely.]

[Waking up and not remembering where he was, why, or even his own name had been bad. Not just bad, weird. Disorienting.

But even worse had been the voices, voices that whispered to him, saying things that confused him. Luckily there had been a card nearby so he'd done his best to ignore them, though it was still unnerving.

He spends most of the time keeping an eye on his housemate (or trying to, at least), for reasons he doesn't bother to question, and the rest of the time wandering the village, searching for people who make him feel sick, curious about this apparent ability to sense trustworthiness.]

[The annoying thing about being a master thief with amnesia is that he can't for the life of him remember where he put all of Howard's money... or any of his own. He's got fantastic skills. Bravo. He can't even buy a girl a drink.

He really wishes someone just left a map on his card, but here he is searching the village.

It doesn't take him long to realize he's caught the attention of some kid, and instead of trying to play it off he just goes right ahead and approaches him. He raises his eyebrows, but his posture is casual.] Something I can help you with, kid?

[After having a chance to (slightly) calm down from a very rude awakening with Kain, she'll be standing near her open journal, muttering what she reads on that flashcard.]

'Greetings, your name is Asura Porom Cuore Rosa Farrell. It seems you've lost your memory. Here's some facts about yourself:

1. You sleep in the nude during the summer. Just what I needed to know.
2. You can turn people into toads. The more you do this, the faster your memories will return! ...this has to be a joke.
3. You're the original template for a clone army. And where is this clone army, pray tell?
4. You can't stand a fellow neighbor called Adell. He's spied on you in bed, the pervert! What the...EW!

Oh, believe me, that's already the case.

[And she'll crumple up the flashcard, frustrated by its blatant unhelpfulness. The name badge will remain on for now, though. She can in no way be certain it's her real name, but it seems a decent one and she needs something to call herself for now.

And with that, it's time to depart the house to tour the town. Even the thunderstorm outside doesn't stop that desire; the thought of being cooped up in an unfamiliar place is more than enough to make her stir-crazy very fast. Snagging an umbrella, she'll make her way around town, trying to see if anything will jog her memory. The library, school and welcome center will definitely be on that list, but she can be found just about anywhere. Anyone nearby stands a good chance of being approached, as she has to ask a certain question.]

[Now that the weather has calmed down, 'Rosa' will be a little less frazzled as well. She'll still be outside, taking advantage of the storm's passing to see if there are more people she can speak to about what's happened. Now that she knows it's more than just her, she will be doing her best to help others, as well.

That annoying flashcard nonetheless has her curious, so at some point she'll stop by the Battle Dome. If she can really turn people to toads, better to test it on a simulation than a real person, right? And there's that whip found among her items which could be useful. She can be found at the console, learning about its features all over again. ]

[Hugo definitely woke up with a headache and not able to remember a thing like so many others in the village.

It didn't take him long to find his flashcard and some blank name tag. From the first fact on his card, he was assuming it was left blank to let him decide if he wants to use his correct name. It seems advisable not to if he has a brother wanting him dead. In fact, he'll be forgoing the nametag entirely.

Though he really doesn't want to leave his apartment considering that it seems two people in Luceti want to kill him, he does have to eat and all. So Hugo will be trying to act normal, but he'll be looking at people oddly to see if they might be trying to make a move against him.

As it grows closer to the first he'll grow even more paranoid because he can't seem to figure out this ability he has or any means to defend himself. He's starting to wonder if it is all wrong, but he doesn't want to end up dead because it turned out to be true.]

[ dick vaughn is not a happy man, from the look of the card found on his pillow when he woke up on the first morning. reading it wasn't simple for a lot of reasons. the headache was one of them but -- truly? a hangover headache felt like nothing new.

on the 27th, he'll be at the clothing shop trying to find anything to wear that isn't his uniform. suddenly? he doesn't feel worthy of wearing it and he wonders why he even owns the thing. various pink shirts can be found folded over his arm, but for now he's in his green trousers and an off-white linen shirt.

on every other day he can be found scoping out crowded places -- the bar, the restaurant, even the battle dome -- for potential pickpocketing victims. or perhaps asking around after his apparently heart-broken daughter. he desperately wants to find her. or maybe he's practicing clumsy sword swings on some empty patch of grass outside the smithy.

mostly? he's wandering around like a man who has lost all will and purpose. not even the wicked scar on his cheek can make him look intimidating, recently. his core is missing; he truly needs some guidance. or at least a job. someone do him a favour and ask for his help? it'd make his week. ]

[Someone at the bar is already fairly plastered, having gotten the impression that vodka jogs his memory. He sits with his cheek against the counter, since it's nice and cool and he doesn't want to throw up.]

Do you know the uncanny feeling you can get when you wake up and for a moment doesn't remember where you are? It's even more bizarre if there's a person sleeping in your arms. Especially if you can't remember how they got there, or what their name is. Tsuzuki wondered if he should wake the blond up, see if he knew something.]

[Hisoka shivered once Tsuzuki became properly awake and cognizant. There was a noticeable void he noticed immediately, a lack of identity that probably should have been cause for concern if it wasn't so completely overridden by other things.]

Who're you? [He mumbles it groggily, before his eyes even open all the way. It's the question that's slipped unbidden into his head.]

[Shirahoshi'd finally gotten up enough courage to use the bubbly coral Marco found and fly herself from the ocean to Luceti. But it took a lot longer than she thought it would, and she didn't arrive until Very Late. As such, Shirahoshi followed the river up to one of the lakes, and settled down to sleep there, full of anticipation. Wouldn't her friends be so surprised in the morning when she showed up in the village? Yes, they would, and pleasantly so, for sure.

Except, in the morning, she couldn't remember a thing! There was just this funny little note, remarkably waterproof. Shirahoshi wasn't entirely sure what to make of it, but she slipped it into the pages of the book that was there next to her- she figured it must be hers, there wasn't anyone else around- and swam for the surface. A little river flowed out of the lake, so she followed that until she saw houses- and humans! Oh, the note said something about humans. That she should take care of them.

So it is that Shirahoshi slipped over the riverbank and crawled between houses until she came to the Town Square. Don't worry, she's very agile and graceful, she won't hurt a thing. She just might try to pick you up and feed or dress you. That won't be a problem, will it?]

[The moment Thunderaxe, Lord of the Hunt, found himself dangling in the air, he reacted with a girlish yelp. And then covered up for it by reacting how his card said he should.

By growling and fussing and--- then hanging limp as he saw what was holding him.]

[Xzana awoke at the bottom of the lake. Not knowing her own name was a bit startling. Who was she? What was she? Where was she? What was the purpose to all of this?

Her flash card is nearby, but she never takes a look at it. Not being able to read anyway it will get carried away by the current for anyone to find.

Animal instinct takes over. There's a hunger inside of her, one she needs to fill. Not really sure why, but it's there. Fish satisfy her for some time, but eventually most swim off.

She leaves the water, finding she can breath both in and out of the water she begins stalking. Her hunger needing to be satisfied.

At night when there's less activity in the village she'll be popping in to check out the garbage or any other place she can weasel into and smell food. Hope you didn't leave your window open.]

(OOC: Xzana has no clue who she is! Anyone is welcome to find her card or run into her! Humans aren't exactly the main course for her, but she may think about it. For this event she will pretty much be nothing more than a wild animal.)

[Aang- Bonzu felt like was in luck. He had managed to read something at the library which told him that dragons were associated with Firebending - surely finding one was the key to learning it for himself. And while walking along the lake, thinking he can find one in an open space, he manages to come across this flash card by extreme coincidence. A dragon.

So he begins to search the area for any dragon-like creatures. To note: Aang is wearing an absurd hoodie hat and fingerless gloves which cover all of his tattoos, as well as his baldness. And he only thinks he is a Firebender.]

[Well, waking up is awkward, especially when the first thing you realize is that you're latched onto a guy you've never met before in your life. ...And then you realize you don't actually remember your life at all. Whoops.

After the initial flailing is dealt with and a truce is made, he gets his card and ventures out of the apartment, wearing the nametag (and feeling uncomfortable about it, but whatever) and people-watching. Seems like just about everyone's in the same boat he is, and he's totally at a loss on what to do about it.

[The funny thing about waking up not knowing who you are - the existential angst doesn't hit you for a while. There's a routine to be seen to first: coffee, brushing of the teeth, a shower. It's only at the end of all that, when he's standing in front of his bookshelves and considering the all-important question of what he's going to read today that Loki realizes he doesn't have any idea.

He can't remember what he read yesterday.

...or anything else.

That's the realization that brings him out of the trance of routine. What is his name? He should have a name, right? And...

Apparently he's the sort of person who sleeps naked. And then wanders around the house naked as well. Huh.

And... his arm is in a sling. He pokes the bandages on his shoulder experimentally then decides that is probably not a thing he should repeat. Those bandages are apparently there for a reason.

Even without memory, his mind isn't any less sharp. He ransacks his house, looking for clues. And clothing. He finds both, with the clues coming in the form of a nametag - Loki - and a card with four facts on it:
1) You are a liar.
2) You are a monster.
3) You are a magician.
4) You are a murderer.

He has to sit down for a while after that. Those things can't be true, can they? Well, he knows three is; he can feel it in his blood, that magic, doesn't know how to use it but can feel the pull. But a monster? He doesn't feel like a monster. He feels like a man. A murderer? A liar?

No.

But what's happened to his memory? There are no other answers in the house. He dresses carefully (goodness, these clothes are a little fancy, aren't they, and difficult to put on with only one functional arm) and hides the card in one pocket; he doesn't want to show it. He knows he should be careful, since if he somehow is those things maybe people won't like him, but... it can't be true. It must be some kind of prank. He doesn't feel like that sort of person.

Stomach churning with nervousness - but also a hectic, happy sort of curiosity because everything is so interesting and new - he leaves the house and goes looking for help.]

Other Days

[Loki is still trying to figure out what's going on, and why someone would play such a cruel trick on him with the card. He explores the village as much as he can and talks to whoever he might. It's a mystery, and he may not remember anything, but he knows in his bones that he loves mysteries and puzzles and loves solving them best of all.

And reading. He loves reading too. And that, he still does as well, taking breaks by the fountain, book balanced on his knees, turning the pages and steadying the tome one-handed. It does make taking notes difficult, this having only one good hand.]

[There's something about the man sitting by the fountain, an almost palpable aura that Rokuta can sense from the other side of the plaza. It's unsettling, uncomfortable, and leaves him feeling somewhat queasy, just like the card had said.

Instead of approaching immediately he goes about his errands in the shops, watching the man whenever he's in sight with open curiosity, but there's really nothing to see but him reading. And so finally Rokuta wanders over, absently shifting the bag of groceries from one arm to the other when he stops a short distance away.]

So who're you?

[He wakes up confused, disoriented, and completely at a loss as to who he is and where. He can't see a damned thing, and all he finds as he gropes around in the dark is a scrap of paper and a fuzzy thing that yelps and nearly sets him on fire when he grabs it. Having no memory is one thing, but having no memory and no way to see where you are or who might be around you? Just adding fuel to the confusion fires, there. He manages to stagger out of the house somehow, but beyond that, who knows where he'll end up?

Feel free to run into a dazed and baffled redhead in black silk pajamas stumbling down the road, clutching a flashcard, calling for help, and occasionally bumping into things. Today is not a good day- poor guy doesn't even know his own name!]

[Aang finds this strange man stumbling around while he's on his way to the library, wearing an absurd hoodie hat and fingerless gloves (but what does it matter he's blind). He approaches in concern.]

[Morning of Day 1 (September 27), house 42]

[He stares at the name tag and flashcard sitting on his bedside table. Then at the ... owl on the other side of the room. How was it that he couldn't remember anything, but he knew what that thing was? Taking the card in hand and slowly standing (because wow, that headache seemed to hit him harder when he first tries standing), he approaches the tiny creature.

It stares back. He frowns at it. It continues staring. He pokes it with his flashcard. It proceeds to spread its wings and with the seeming intent to fly at his face.

So, with an undignified yelp, he stumbles backwards, into a chair, and crashes into the desk behind him. Papers flutter and fall to the floor around him as he slumps against the drawers. The owl twitters as it perches triumphantly on his head.]

...Ugh.


[Later on Day 1 and any time after]

[Thankfully, he's much more methodical after his rather terrible time waking up. He brings a pad of paper and pen with him as he leaves the house, trying to make a map as he explores the village. He looks understandably pensive as he tries to figure out what should feel familiar. The tea shop, when he finally finds it towards the evening, definitely feels familiar.

As the week wears on, he spends less time wandering around aimlessly and instead pokes around places that he thinks he would spend time -- the bar (because he seems to have a lot of wine in his closet), the barracks (because of the flashcard), and the tea shop (because of the flashcard and familiar feeling). He spends a lot of time looking pensive. And nondescript. (Seriously, what kind of coat was that in his closet? And why did he have two of the same kind?)]

Day 2

[It took her a while to find the tea shop. The name isn't nearly as obvious to someone who can't remember the connotations. Now, dressed almost entirely in black and staring at the highly decorated walls of the main room, Sheena's turning a slow circle trying to decide how this place could possibly serve as a "nighttime house of pleasure."

And who even works here? There's a list, but none of the names mean anything to her except Ayumu.]
