[Luna blinks, contemplating whether or not this is likely. Perhaps it was a griffin and not a mere songbird? Finally she nods.]

Very well then! Fair skull, we shall return shortly with this magical substance. Pray, be wary of any criminal birds. 'Twould be a great misfortune if thou happened also to lose thy head!



[Luna will retreat for some long moments, reappearing perhaps forty minutes to an hour later with what look like saddle bags slung over her back.]

Any bird that tries to take me will be bit! [That seems right.]

[When she does return he'll still be sitting there, quieter at the moment and bored looking, though there's the occasional muttered 'those poor kittens'.]

[It does! If Luna were a bird, she might even think twice about that.]

Forgive us, but we had a bit of trouble with the matter of identification. [She shrugs the bags off and attempts to rummage through them with her hooves. Difficult.] There were a great number of "squishy" objects. We trust thou hast not found it necessary to bite any of our avian subjects while we were away?

No! No birds dared come near! ...I wonder where they all are.

[He'll just eye those bags.] Something there has to be it!

An excellent question, and a problem which we will see to in due time. It may be they were scared away by thy fearsome appearance.

[She finally manages to pluck out a number of squishy and not all meat-flavored objects. After all, you can't expect her to try it. One of the items appears to be putty of some sort. There is also a small quantity of gelatin, an ear plug, a sample of some variety of meat, and a couple of other unidentified mysterious objects.]

Perchance, do any of these resemble the magical gum thou art searching for?

Fearsome? Really? [Feeling rather strangely flattered by that.

[But he'll bring his attention to the many objects. The meat seems somehow almost right, but...]
