"...Could be bloody anywhere, I suppose. But it don't seem so bad. Aside from the forgetting."

"Right." She wrapped her arms around herself as if cold, "Aside from that."

Vaughn certainly assumed that she was chilly, and he began to fight with his simple leather coat.

"Cold, lass?" Once the coat was off his shoulders, he offered it out to her -- holding up the corners as if waiting for her to step into it.

Molly glanced up at him in surprise and then... smiled a little.

"Thank you."

She moved to step into it.

She wasn't cold. She was scared. But this made her feel a little less alone, a little less frightened.

He tucked the jacket around her shoulders, letting his palms rest just briefly on the leather before withdrawing to a respectful distance.

"My pleasure, love. We could all use some help in this, I suspect."

She held the edges of his jacket, feeling very small. It was a comfort.

"Yeah."

She looked up at him - he had a comforting, handsome face - and quickly looked away, remembering what her card had said. She was scared, and she didn't know what to do.

"Then, ah, mayhaps I can help escort you somewhere -- Molly? The place seems peaceable enough, but I'm not sure I trust it."

"I'm not really sure there's any place around here to be escorted to."

[greenjacketed]

"...Then I suppose I find myself at a crossroads of havin' no purpose. But you may keep the coat, Miss Molly."
