What: Marco's surprise birthday party.
When: October 6th, in the afternoon.
Where: Community Housing 3, Room 40
Summary: It's Marco's birthday. Ace planned a party. Need I say more?
Rating: Uh, PG? Since there will be pirates here, I'm hoping not to go above PG-13. PLAY NICE, KIDS.
[Ace wasn't going to go overboard on the decorating. In fact, he had to leave a lot of it up to everyone else since his injuries prevent quite a bit of movement. But soon enough, there were a decent amount of streamers up, and a nice big banner that says "HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARCO". He had to work extra hard to get the cake to look just right. The cake is surrounded by the presents, and there's a few separate tables for food and drinks. Fruit punch for everyone, and some alcohol for the adults and pirates.

Come on, people, this is a party. Let's live it up a little! And don't forget to embarrass congratulate the birthday pirate. Feel free to leave your own comment below, just for mingling, or just doing something silly, or giving Marco your present! Have at!]

Cutest little girl here I can think of. Have you ever met Aang? Or Sokka or Katara or Zuko? Actually she has more people from her home than that I think, those are just the ones I know of. [He was friends with Iroh baaaack in the day. Yes, Marco is old, okay?]

Anyway, she's capable of flying so that makes her good in my book. [Y.u.p. He will befriend all the airbenders and bird people and flying everythings ever, okay okay.] She only knows me as a phoenix though, so I might go like that unless there's sculpture or origami.

Oh. That girl... [Yeah, those names reminded him of Smoker's post. And that he still needs to thank that girl for her endless questions. >>] I only talked to that Aang-guy once, but the rest I only recognize from the journal.

[He laughs and ruffles Marco's tufty, pineapple hair.] I'm not surprised. You'd make friends with everything that flies and talks! [He knows that much, yes. And here he nods.] Alright, that's a deal then!

[Oh, and--] Can you set me down now?

[Perfectly deadpan he just picks up Sabo a little higher and hangs him upside down by an ankle.] The hell is with all the pineapple origami, eh?! Ace you put up to this?

[Playfully flicks Sabo's nose.]

[That one word sends chills down his spine but before Sabo can react-- THE WORLD FLIPS UPSIDE DOWN.]

GAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! O-OI, PUT ME DOWN! [Flailing. So, so much flailing! But his movements causes blood to go to his head faster, so he'll attempt to end things quicker by blurting honest things out.]

N-no, just me! Because pineapples are festive fruits, okay?! They make me think of tropical islands, tropical islands means beach parties, and beach parties mean the sea! Don't we all love the sea here?! [......yeah, ok, maybe bullshitting a little too, because everyone knows the pineapples are in honor of Marco's hair. Plain and simple.]

[Laughs because that was a terrible lie and attempts to tickle Sabo a little. No easy feat since he's also more preoccupied with making sure he doesn't drop the kid or cause him to flail too much either.]

Nice try, but you're not getting off that easily.

So he'll be doing his best to flail out of reach while half-squawking, half-gasping for breath the entire time, until he just spills the real truth this time.]

[Bursts out laughing and sets him down right side up before giving Sabo a quick hug. Fine, Ace is right, Marco likes hugs. Deal with it.]

Thanks little matey. Can I keep these in my room after the party? I want to treasure them for a long time to come.

[Give him a sec while he tries to catch his breath. ;; But pretty soon he's hugging back, although with a slight frown on his face.]

Eh? But they're just decors. My real gift's in your bedroom.

[Okay, you are getting picked back up again as Marco carefully sets Sabo on his shoulders to go check his room. Don't worry, he's careful about the ceiling and doorways. Don't mind being man-handled bro!]

I am way too lucky to deserve you guys, eh. Okay where is it?

[HE ALWAYS MINDS THIS RUDE MAN-HANDLING >:T But it's your birthday, so he'll let it pass with just a low grumble instead of violent and noisy protests.

When they get into Marco's room, the birthday boy'll find a phoenix origami made in blue paper sitting on top of a wrapped package on his bed.]

Um. There's two of 'em, actually. [And suddenly Sabo's nervous again. Not for this origami (he worked super hard to make sure it looks great, despite the creases). Nope, it's the package he's nervous about. ;; auuugh he doesn't want to be tickled again!]

Aw... Thanks matey. [Reaches up to ruffle Sabo's head and then gently sets the origami phoenix next to his crane from Robin. YOU GUYS <3]

[He undoes the present and takes out the most kickass belt ever. Always with the pineapples. He laughs and instantly puts it on and poses.] What do you think? Fabulous enough yet?

[Oh hey, a positive reaction without the scary vibes! 8D And since it looks like he's not about to be tickled again, Sabo finally relaxes and laughs at the ridiculousness of that pose.]
