On the 29th, the Malnosso announce over the radios that the power cap will be lifted to a full 100%. Carol broadcasts a message.

On the 30th, the Malnosso declare Vaskoth completely lost. Those with radio access will discover that the enclosure is to be bombed.

On the 31st, survivors will have one last chance to evacuate or try to find the cure. 3PM is do or die.

[When Pepper gets into position, Mordin gently places his hands on her head, aligning it properly. Administering the cure requires surgical precision. Even the tiniest bit off and the procedure shifts from curing a fatal disease to doctor-assisted suicide. He nods silently to himself, before moving away from the woman to prepare the administration.]

Suggest closing your eyes. Relaxing, happy thoughts. [As hard as it may be to think of them in a time like this. If he could do anything to calm her down, he would.]

[She tries to stay still, keeping her neck relaxed so Mordin can move her head as he needs to. Whatever's coming won't be pleasant, but it's necessary, as Pepper repeats to herself. So she doesn't lose herself completely, or become what Steve had--

So she doesn't hurt anyone else anymore than they already will be.

Thinking happy thoughts is almost laughable, but Pepper does close her eyes. She tries to focus on breathing, slowly in and slowly out, although it's impossible not to try and figure out what Mordin is doing from the sounds.]

[The touch helps, along with hearing what's happening. Pepper almost nods, but remembers and stops herself in time.

The discomfort of the needle is brief, and what's promised more than welcome. She just has to breathe, like Mordin says. In and out, in and out, until her head starts to swim. Then Pepper really does relax thanks to the sedative, the drug offering a relief that nothing else could in the circumstances.
