On the 29th, the Malnosso announce over the radios that the power cap will be lifted to a full 100%. Carol broadcasts a message.

On the 30th, the Malnosso declare Vaskoth completely lost. Those with radio access will discover that the enclosure is to be bombed.

On the 31st, survivors will have one last chance to evacuate or try to find the cure. 3PM is do or die.

Good. Production has slowed while they focus on a cure proper.

[She wouldn't be one to judge. Before the vaccine, before the cure, she'd done much the same. Even after she felt it more cruelty than kindness.]

Are you in need of anything else? We've some supplies yet we might spare.

More laudanum would be helpful. I'm well stocked with bandages and thread and peroxide, I believe.

[He could upgrade to something else, but... He'd leave those to the medical staff more familiar with them. He knows the precise doses for laudanum, how much to give for what sort of wounds.]

That we have in abundance. I've set aside a store for you, in fact.

[Not many others knew the dosage or cared to use it; Stephen was skilled enough and far more comfortable with the drug than anyone else in the barracks. Efficiency was far more important than modern sensibilities.]

Fresh water or rations for yourself?

[Saline they had in abundance, if only because not many that weren't infected required it. But drinking water? They were down to their last few cases. She nods and takes a few bottles from her own store. She can manage without.]

There is not much left.

I'll just take one.

[He holds out his hand, and his look says that he's quite made up his mind. He'll take one bottle, and that will last him.

He's gone twenty-plus hours without water, stranded on a rock. One bottle of water will last him plenty when there's work to be done.]

[But one is offered, and before Horatio and the storm. Before Archie, she might have remained skeptical. But she's come to know a bit more of the mettle of the British Navy and those that would sail with them. There's no doubt in her voice at all, just resignation.]

...I do not recommend venturing out too far, this time. If a cure is not formulated in a few hours the MSF intend to set off a bomb. Wipe out this enclosure entirely to prevent this infection from spreading.

It is at that. The teleporters will be open until the very last moment, I imagine. But it is better to not take that risk.
