On the 29th, the Malnosso announce over the radios that the power cap will be lifted to a full 100%. Carol broadcasts a message.

On the 30th, the Malnosso declare Vaskoth completely lost. Those with radio access will discover that the enclosure is to be bombed.

On the 31st, survivors will have one last chance to evacuate or try to find the cure. 3PM is do or die.

[The sound of the gun falling makes her start, and she glances from it to her own sorry remains of a weapon. Most people have a longer reach than this.

...she wonders how long it will take for Kotetsu to try and find another way off the floor. Maybe he won't. The other infected have all been so single-minded--

She was talking to him about farming, not too long before this. Nami looks at the backs of her hands, then runs one down the side of her neck. No injuries. She takes a breath.]

We should go.

[He nods at her words, but doesn't stand quite yet. With the threat nullified, the exhaustion has set fire in his bones again, and standing isn't so immediately appealing. But she was right. They needed to get away from this building - just in case.]

How long was he chasing you?

[She laughs at that, a funny little hiccup of a giggle. It's really not very funny.] A few minutes at most. He... turned while we were searching for survivors.

[Which sounds really, really stupid of her, and she adds softly:] I couldn't leave him on his own.

[So she'd seen him change. He'd witnessed it happen to Robin, too. That moment when their last ability to reason just falls away completely, and it just becomes about attacking, killing, feasting.

That wouldn't happen to Pepper, that wouldn't happen to Pepper.]

I can hardly blame you for that.

[It's about the only thing she can't be blamed for. Nami presses a shaking hand to her mouth. And flinches as Kotetsu slams into the door again.]

Can we go? [She doesn't care how pleading that sounds. Nami holds out a hand to help Tony up.]

[alloys]

[His heart thuds in his chest at the sounds coming from the other side of the door. So he takes her hand and stands within a split second.]

Yeah. Let's go.
