Tea Time!

Who: Estelle and those that were invited here.
What: Tea Party!
When: November 13th at 2pm
Where: Tea House
Summary: Estelle invited several ladies to join her for tea at the Tea House!
Rating: T for Tea?

Upon arriving to the Tea House, the guests will be greeted by Estelle who is wearing a simple but formal white dress with gloves, a pink hat and a pink feather boa. The invitation had mentioned optional formal-wear, so there is no need to dress up if they don't want to. However, Estelle always uses every opportunity she can to dress up. They will then be directed to the back of the shop where there's a long table set up for the party, complete with a lacy white tablecloth and china suitable for a tea party. Each setting has a card with a name on it, thus it shouldn't be hard for each lady to find their seat.

There is plenty of space in the middle of the table for the food that anyone might be bringing. Already there are cucumber sandwiches and a few other light finger foods.

It took a bit of digging for Adele to find that invitation again. Her younger self had made a note of it and tacked it up on the board next to her bed- one of the cats had knocked it off. But today there was something important and after some time digging then dressing and making certain she was adequately bundled up Adele made her way to the tea house, a small container of baked pastries in hand. One did not arrive to such an event empty handed, after all.

Dressed simply and warmlly she offered the closes thing to a curtsy to Estelle upon her arrival that she could while her hands were full.

[Estelle beams happily at the curtsy, doing one of her own in return.]

Adele! I'm so happy you came! What a cute outfit.

I'm glad I was able to find the invitation. One of the cats ran off with it this morning.

[She huffs a soft laugh and offers the box of pastries.]

Oh my, I'm glad you got it back!

[She takes the pastries and smiles.]

[Estelle then motions for Adele to follow her to the table where she'll set the pastries down.]

I will, they were quite happy to be able to make something for this. It is not as though they need much of an excuse to bake as it is.

[She folds her coat over her arm and follows Estelle, looking down the length of the set table. It seemed lovely.]

[Estelle giggles lightly. She hadn't known that Helios liked to bake so much. She then motions Adele towards her seat before placing the pastries on the table.]

So, how are you doing, Adele?

[She definitely looked older than the last time she saw her.]

Ran Fan showed up right on time. She's not used to these kinds of things, so when something says be there at a certain time, she was going to be there exactly at the time. Though, she was nervous about the whole thing. Not only did the whole thing take place on her birthday, but she's still not used to being invited to these kind of things.

She didn't come alone though. May came with her, and May made sure they both dressed the part. The only problem was fancy wasn't her style, so she ended up wearing something very simple, with black tights and her boots, of course. But, her hair was down, which she didn't like at all.

And, to make sure she was a good guest, she brought a rice dish that she made herself. Hopefully Estelle will like it.

Ran Fan! I'm so happy you're here! Please, come this way, the table is in the back.

Oh, and this must be your friend May?

[Estelle beams happily at the pair of girls. She's never had a tea party with friends before, and this is really making her happy. A welcome distraction from the recent departure of Yuri and Raven.]

[May was fine with the idea of coming to Ran Fan's friend's tea party with her, it seemed like a fun after all. Especially since she got to help Ran Fan with her outfit. She was wearing a simple black dress herself, except it had a pink ribbon bow tied around the waist.

When Estelle came over, May stayed slightly behind Ran Fan until she was mentioned. Offering a smile to the older female.]

It's very nice to meet you.

[Ran Fan looked down at May. It made her happy that she could bring the young girl along with her for this. May was like a little sister to Ran Fan, and she kinda wanted to show her off to people.]

Yes. She's a friend from my world. And, um... [She held out the bowl of the treat she made.] I made ci fan tuan. It's, um, my first time making it, so I hope you enjoy it.

It's nice to meet you too! I hear you know a lot about Alkahestry...

[Ran Fan then hands her the dish and Estelle looks at it with interest.]

Wonderful! I can't wait to try it!

[Estelle then pauses as she sees a little... creature with May. Her eyes widen.]

And who is this?

[At the mention of alkahestry, May perked up in mild interest. She didn't know that this girl knew what alkahestry was. She didn't respond however as the conversation moved over to Xiao-Mei, whom stared at Estelle from May's shoulder.]

Ah! I almost forgot to introduce her, this is Xiao-Mei!

[Ran Fan steps aside and bows.]

Shall I take my leave and allow you two to talk?

[Yes indeed, Estelle knows about it, and was looking forward to asking May all sorts of questions. But right now? CUTE PANDA OMG.]

It's a pleasure to meet you Xiao-Mei!

[She then blinks as Ran Fan steps away, then smiles.]

The idea of this party is for everyone to talk and get to know each other, Ran Fan. Come on, the table is this way.

[She motions for them both to follow her, leading them to the table.]

[May glanced at Ran Fan taking a step away, hopefully she didn't feel left out or something. That would make her feel bad.]

How many other people will be there, do you know?

I only know Estelle, but if they are friends with her, then I am sure they are very kin people as well.

[Go and play with others May. Do big sis proud!]

Raine had warned in advance that she'd be a little late, with classes taken into account, so her place setting will be empty likely for a few minutes longer than the last arriving person, even with a semi-early dismissal. Certainly no later than 2:30, anyway--hopefully it's not already over.

Still, she brings along some muffins that she had made in the early morning - an attempt at pumpkin flavored ones, but the taste may vary, as Raine's baking attempts can usually end up in some surprise or other. That will be set in the table with the rest.

She's wearing a black skirt and a white blouse that's a little dressier than usual, but otherwise nothing too fancy. It's chilly, so she had to bundle up a little over that anyway.

[Yep, it's still happening. And Estelle will even notice Raine as she walks in. The girl waves her arm to get the professor's attention and in greeting.]

Raine! Over here! I'm so glad you could make it!

[She smiles, and makes her way over towards the younger woman.] Thank you for the invitation. I hope I'm not too late.

Not at all, please join us.

[Estelle motions at the empty setting with Raine's name.]

Has your day gone well?

It's been fine, a little busy with school and making sure I had a few things prepared, but that's to be expected. How has the party been so far? [She follows Estelle's motion with her gaze first, nods, and begins walking in that direction.]

[ Kotomi arrives a little late compared to everyone else - she probably couldn't find the way because of how generally oblivious she is.. But at least she apparently did bother to put on a dress, even if it's a fairly simple one. When she comes in she doesn't immediately walk to the table though. She's just standing there near the entrance, staring as if she's waiting for something or she's nervous, or.. well.. any of those things, really. She's just clinging onto the lunch boxes she's holding in her arms, apparently she thought it was appropriate to bring those. ]

[Hold on Kotomi, she's coming! Estelle was talking to some other guests that had arrived when she spots the other girl.]

Oh! Kotomi-chan!

[She races over and offers to help carry the lunch boxes.]

I'm so glad you came!

Ah, Estelle-chan.. [ She blinks, still looking a little blank even now, but at least she's acknowledging the other girl's presence. ]

I promised I'd come, after all, so that's why I'm here. People shouldn't break promises, that's bad..

Yes, that's true, but I'm still grateful.

[Estelle then motions for Kotomi to follow her to the table.]

There's a place here for you. You can have whatever you like.

[She places the lunch boxes in the middle of the table as well.]

[ At least following is something she's good at. She can never really make her own decisions, but following other people is easy, so she finds her place soon enough thanks to Estelle, sitting down there. ]

Really..? It doesn't matter what I drink or eat?

[Estelle tilts her head slightly at Kotomi with a smile.]

That's right. You can have whatever you like.

Uwah.. so there will be so many things, and it'll be okay for me to pick anything.. That's amazing. I've never really seen something like that before..

Really? Well, I suppose there's a first time for everything. I want you to enjoy yourself, Kotomi-chan.

.. You're saying you've done this a lot of times before already, Estelle-chan?

[Tear was still uncertain about being invited, but she had at least attempted to dress herself nicely according to what she knew of tea parties, which meant a brown turtleneck dress and black leggings instead of her usual soldier's uniform. Arriving right on time, she stands at the entrance hesitantly at first, though she did at least bring some small apple cakes she had taken the time to make.]

[And Estelle is quick to notice her when she arrives, quickly coming over to greet her.]

Oh, Tear! Thank you for coming! That's a lovely dress you're wearing.

Thank you you for inviting me. [Though the compliment does bring a soft blush.] And you look lovely as well, Estelle.

[That hat.]

[And Estelle beams at the returned compliment.]

Thank you very much! The table is this way.

[Estelle leads Tear towards the setting in the back of the shop.]

Please, help yourself to anything you like.

Thank you again. Though I must ask, is this something that will be taking place often? [Not that she would mind necessarily, if it allowed her more insight to other people of the village.]

[Cheria arrived at the party a bit early, bringing along two homemade pies and a plate of appetizers. She's wearing a cute dress adorned with a flower pattern and her hair's been tied back in a braid. When she spots Tear entering the shop, she looks flustered for a moment. It's been a while since they've last talked, hasn't it?

She politely waits her turn and once Estelle's done speaking with her, Cheria steps forward to greet her as well.]

Good afternoon, Tear.

Oh, Cheria. Good afternoon. [This was a pleasant surprise, it had been some time since they had last seen one another hadn't it? And she looked cute the way she was dressed as well.]

I wasn't aware you were also coming.

I'm glad I was invited. I wouldn't miss this party for the world.

[It's just so refreshing to have girl friends that she can do girly things with. This is the sort of thing that she missed out on when she was younger. Granted, if this had been done when she was younger with friends her own age, it would've been on a smaller scale and likely wouldn't even have involved actual tea.]

[If only the two were aware they shared in having missed out on such things when they were younger, as a young girl Tear had longed for such times as well. But they could at least try to make the most out of this!]

I must admit I'm not overly familiar with how these parties work exactly, I hope I haven't done anything wrong.

Oh, I don't think there's anything to do wrong. {Unless your name is Pascal. Then there'll always be a way to mess up.]

Where I'm from, a tea party is just a formal party where the guests are served tea. It looks like we're living up to that, so far.

[But Pascal can be such a sweetie! ... if she doesn't fluster you terribly first.]

I suppose so, I'm only familiar with what I sometimes did with a friend of mine from home. Though that was usually a private matter with her and myself.

Mmh, I don't think this is too different, so don't worry. We're all just here to have a good time, anyway.

[Cheria knows for a fact that she wouldn't judge Tear for doing something 'wrong', and she doubts anyone else here would.]

Yes we are, should we take our seats then? [Because simply speaking with Cheria and having her stand the entire time hardly seemed like the polite thing to do.]
