Summary: Several people have received simple, written invitations asking them to meet at the rec center for a proposal.

[This is the log in which Shikamaru collects people and they get to talking about the task at hand for disseminating information, and possibly recruits them into the agency thereafter if they're still interested. People will likely be showing up at different times, so he speaks to everyone one-on-one instead of in a group.

The proposal will be offered to each character who shows up casually - no hard feelings whatever you decide to do - but with firmness. This is a group that will be dedicated to intelligence research and analysis, not information gathering. It's nothing flashy or exciting, but he expects discretion and it's a job that shouldn't be taken lightly. Those who accept the offer will be told things should be up and running withing two weeks.]

Alright, the simple version then.

For the past few months it was my job to spy on a new group. Next it would've been my job to figure out what kind of information was important, and who I should've given it to, then go to the person who needed a full brief, and help them.

Only the last few months?

That's when I got called in for it. The group was completely unknown to everyone before that.

Well I'd figured you'd been associated with the people you worked for before that.

Yeah, saved the world with the puppet of the guy that's in charge, but I'm the only one qualified enough to do that part of the job.

[She's being vague enough that he thinks he can pass her on discretion. Not likely to get more without being more aggressive, and if someone tried that, he gets the impression she could handle it.]

Heh. I don't know about that. Lot of it's gonna be working in a stuffy room and fact checking.

The information needs to be kept in a safe place.

Then get a guard or something, because nobody will be able to do good work in a place like that.

They can't do it outdoors either. Everyone's free to theorize on their own time, but discussing these things in public is ill-advised.

Well, I guess we can't go crazy as long as we aren't stuck in a room for too long.
