Like Snickers
Who: Anyone from this list.
What: A meeting
When: November 15th, anytime between 6-10 PM
Where: The Rec Center
Summary: Several people have received simple, written invitations asking them to meet at the rec center for a proposal.
Rating: B for Business-Casual
[This is the log in which Shikamaru collects people and they get to talking about the task at hand for disseminating information, and possibly recruits them into the agency thereafter if they're still interested. People will likely be showing up at different times, so he speaks to everyone one-on-one instead of in a group.
The proposal will be offered to each character who shows up casually - no hard feelings whatever you decide to do - but with firmness. This is a group that will be dedicated to intelligence research and analysis, not information gathering. It's nothing flashy or exciting, but he expects discretion and it's a job that shouldn't be taken lightly. Those who accept the offer will be told things should be up and running withing two weeks.]
[ooc: because so many people ended up included, the way this organization will work needed to be re-tooled a little (hence why this is a day late). I've written up an in-depth look at how the agency will operate to clarify everything (please read it!), as well as created a new community (
luceti_analysts) that anyone is welcome to track/join.]

As long as the group informs the village in a fairly prompt manner, it should be received well. Good work.

I'll be trying to make it a regular thing. Once a month or every other, depending on how it goes. Sort of like those broadcasts you used to do.

[He doesn't think it'll come be that dangerous, but just in case, if he's putting anyone's neck out there it'll be his own.]
If my name isn't good enough, I may ask for someone else involved to vouch for me. As for the broadcasts, it's undecided. I think it could do well the involve other people. Maybe commission some who are uninvolved.
[It'd be a show of trust. And on top of that, if it was made clear that not everyone making the broadcasts was necessarily a member of the group, it'd make less people suspicious.]

Very good.
[What else is there to say?]

You'll be a consultant?
no subject
Certainly.
[But you do not need me. You have your bases covered. He muses over what Shikamaru thinks he will contribute that any other long-time resident could not. He also muses over the different ways he could have said no.]

That shogi game so long ago smoothed things over. Or is just what he wants to think? They're not friends, but respect is a hard-earned thing for Shikamaru, and Albert is one of the few people in Luceti who has it with him.]
...thank you.

I doubt I will be bringing anything particularly new to the table at this point, so I should find some other way to contribute.
Just let me know when you are ready to move forward to the next phase. [Whenever he expected to need meetings.]
