Summary: Several people have received simple, written invitations asking them to meet at the rec center for a proposal.

[This is the log in which Shikamaru collects people and they get to talking about the task at hand for disseminating information, and possibly recruits them into the agency thereafter if they're still interested. People will likely be showing up at different times, so he speaks to everyone one-on-one instead of in a group.

The proposal will be offered to each character who shows up casually - no hard feelings whatever you decide to do - but with firmness. This is a group that will be dedicated to intelligence research and analysis, not information gathering. It's nothing flashy or exciting, but he expects discretion and it's a job that shouldn't be taken lightly. Those who accept the offer will be told things should be up and running withing two weeks.]

Yo. [He offers the paper back to her. He's been keeping track of whose been coming in, but he really has no idea when she got here or what she has or hasn't already gathered from being a fly on the wall.]

[She's eavesdropped a little, but mostly she's just observed who attended from a distance.]

Mm. More than I suspected. [He looks over his shoulder to see who's still around before turning back to her.]

Before you hear the details, know that this offer is my peace offering, in exchange for yours. [The info on Madara, that is.]

[Konan nods. Based on what she has managed to observe thus far, it doesn't seem like something Shikamaru would have invited her to if he still regarded her as an enemy. An uneasy ally, perhaps, but he seems clever enough to do what he could to keep something like this from reaching the notice of his enemies.]

It's nothing about home, but I've been in this place long enough to think it matters. As residents shoveled off into an enclosure like this, we rarely learn more than we're allowed about anything going around us. Still, we've found things out somehow, or some of us have.

There's a lot of vitally important details floating around this place, but they don't get spread around much, you know?

So part of your objective would be to ensure that the information is reviewed and shared. But it would be best if the Malnosso didn't realize the information was getting out to all of their captives.

[She hasn't even been here long and she can tell how disastrous that might be.]

They might take away people's memories again, only for longer. Amongst other things.

That's why when they're shared, it would be over the locked network that they can't observe. Furthermore, we'd take care to make a hard copy of everything as well.

Though to be honest, I think there are some in the organization who are rooting for us to do a little more digging on our own.

Are you absolutely certain they can't observe it? If they created these communication journals, it stands to reason that they would be better at using the more advanced features than their captives.

[Although it does interest her to note that their captors do not hold a united view on their captives.]
