Happy Happy Turkey Day
Who: Marvel people plus friends. I'm not even attempting to make this list out.
What: Marvelsgiving!
When: November 22, 2012
Where: House 49
Summary: It's Thanksgiving. There's a meal and socializing. Also fun.
Rating: PG, PG-13 max? A kid got invited to this.
Considering how last minute all of this had been, Pepper was actually pretty satisfied with how things were turning out. Rogue had shown up early with helpers in tow, immediately setting to work in the kitchen. The house had been filled with delicious aromas shortly thereafter, and Pepper busied herself with the other details until guests started to arrive--at which point part of her job became keeping people out of the kitchen, per Rogue's orders.
The set up was straightforward: the dining room table was used to hold the assorted dishes, where people could fix themselves plates. A similar set up with drinks (although please, don't give alcohol to the children). Chairs set out for people to sit, since there were too many to even attempt a traditional sit down dinner. But that was fine by Pepper, who made her way through the group, making sure everyone was happy, or at least not destroying part of her house.
Better safe than sorry, with this crowd.
(ooc: post! mingle! include whatever dish your character brought for the potluck and wait for them to be judged. and as always, have fun.)

because it had to be done
"Are you busy?" he murmurs, fingers laced together over Teddy's stomach, tugging him back a bit meaningfully. Far be it for him to drag Teddy away from good company or another slice of pie, but... well. There's other things they could be doing, and he feels just lightheaded and fuzzy enough to demand it now rather than later.
lolol oh god
Guess who found him as soon as he thought that? Teddy can't help a quiet snort when he feels those familiar arms around his waist and his boyfriend's face against his neck; trust Billy to appear when Teddy's thinking about him.
"Not enough to keep me away from you." Teddy murmurs in return, his tone carrying that warmth that he'd been using in quiet moments with Billy for most of the evening. He smiles and rests his hands over the ones on his stomach, though he lifts his eyebrows at the little tug he can feel. Hmm, what's this now? Did Billy need him for something? Thinking that maybe Billy wants him to meet someone, or that he assigned them to cleaning duty, Teddy takes a step back, giving his boyfriend the go-ahead to lead him wherever he needs to go. "Why do you ask?"
no subject
Billy lifts his head, a musing smile crossing his lips, and rests his chin comfortably on Teddy's shoulder, nuzzling him affectionately. "'I aim to misbehave'," he mumbles, tilting just enough to press his mouth briefly against whatever bare skin is immediately accessible. He's still tugging Teddy backwards, inch by inch, towards the nearest wall.
What is also noteworthy is the fact that as he speaks, his breath carries the scent of a telltale mixture of soda and some sort of liquor.
no subject
"You sure we should be misbehaving?" he says with a chuckle to his voice, but it dies away when he takes a whiff of Billy's breath. Well. That would explain this, and he certainly knows that smell. Hanging out with popular, rebellious teenagers has made him a bit acquainted with it.
So, Teddy stops their journey briefly by just plain stopping, knowing that Billy will have a hard time moving him like this, and looks back at him with a raised eyebrow and a knowing smirk. "So, how much have you had to drink, Kaplan?"
no subject
At Teddy's question, he lifts his head again, blinking as innocently as possible up at his smirking boyfriend. His tone is very serious, full of mock-concern. "No less than four glasses of egg nog, and a soda with dessert. Also some coffee. I think I have a problem, Tee."
He tries pulling again, with no luck. Damn Skree super-strength. It's downright unfair.
no subject
"Just plain soda and eggnog? Nothing added to it?" He nudges Billy's forehead with his cheek as he goes on, "It smells different, is all."
no subject
His hands twist a bit against the blond's body - one to grasp Teddy's, the other snaking back to swing slightly at his side as he tries a more conventional way of pulling. Which isn't much easier, but it feels like it ought to be more effective.
no subject
"I swear to God, Bee, if you throw up on me, I'm breaking up with you." He shakes his head, but there's still a smile on his face; Billy isn't plastered like other teens he knew back then, so at least he doesn't have to deal with a stumbling drunk or anything.
no subject
"Okay, one, I am absolutely not in the least bit drunk," he pauses to kiss Teddy's cheek, "Two, you threaten to do that at least once a week and it hasn't happened yet because why would you ever let go of this," another pause, another kiss, this time on the opposite cheek, "And three-"
This time it's not so much an answer as a real kiss, mouth to mouth, letting it last a few seconds more. He tastes like milky cinnamon and sugar. Pulling back after a moment, he frowns and lightly flicks Teddy's nose. "Three, it's not my fault. Mr. Stark and Ms. Romanov are responsible for the distribution of illegal substances to minors."
There, could he say all that if he was drunk?
no subject
So when he pulls back, he still stays close to Billy's lips, a light grin on his own while leans one arm above Billy's head, the other hand reaching to the side to find what Billy's looking for - a doorknob. Ah, right. Teddy's been here enough times to know there's a closet right there.
"Four, it is your fault, because while Mr. Stark and Ms. Romanov distributed the drinks, you're still the one who drank it," he pauses to twist his hand and open the closet door, "Five, you're not drunk, but you are tipsy. And six, we're in Iron Man's house, and not only are a lot of people here, but a kid, too. So, I suggest we keep it quiet."
Not that they'd ever go beyond making out in someone else's house or risk dying of mortification, but even making out can be a little noisy.

"Ha - sorry." He can't help being amused, and instead of going for his ear, Teddy decides to trail his lips down, letting that act as a guide, to brush against his jawline. Once he reaches it, he murmurs against it, "Mm, here I thought we were going to save all this for tomorrow."
Just the word 'tomorrow' makes a sort of giddy happiness bloom in his chest, and god, he is hopeless and he knows it.
no subject
"What, you think we can't have it both ways?" His tone is teasing, but there's just as much giddiness beneath the surface; tomorrow is such a huge day, a landmark for any couple but for super heroes and teenagers especially. For super teens it must be some kind of miracle.
For he and Teddy, though... well, it had been pretty easy.
no subject
Just after he brushes his lips against Billy's adam's apple, he lifts his head - and bumps his nose against Billy's chin, oops - to press his lips against his boyfriend's instead, his own hands moving up to curl into the sleeves of his dress shirt. God, he'd been actually wanting to kiss him since they first locked eyes after he walked out of the kitchen.
no subject
"Whoever writes reality makes the rules," he mumbles against Teddy's neck, shifting back to wind his arms around the blond's shoulders and dragging him in for another proper makeout. They could be at this for a good while.]
no subject
Not what she's expecting.
"Oh god!" First she's just startled at there being people in there at all. Then she realizes who they are and just what they're doing, and, well. At least she's got experience with catching people in compromising positions?
Although it doesn't help much. "What the--Billy, Teddy!" Pepper looks over at the group, a forced smile on her face. "Please tell me I'm not seeing what I think I'm seeing."
no subject
"Ms. - Pepper!" Of all the people to walk in on them, why did it have to be her? And... isn't this the second time she did this? Ugh, that's not important; Teddy's absolutely red in the face, and he glances at Billy as if seeking help in some way. "It's not... really... It's only sort of what it looks like."
no subject
Sorry, Teddy, you'll get no help from him.
no subject
"So you were only sort of making out in my coat closet?" She raises an eyebrow, then steps aside in a clear gesture of clearing the way. "Out of the closet, both of you."
no subject
"We're really sorry." He says as he passes Pepper, letting go of one of Billy's hands to rub the back of his neck. Talk about embarrassing.
no subject
It's not that funny, but he feels planted firmly between giddy, embarrassed, and hysterical, so everything is at least a little bit amusing right now.
no subject
"Billy, have you been drinking?" There may be a hint of accusation in her voice, but that's equal parts concern and frustration; she knows Teddy would take care of him, but Pepper still wants to make sure they can get back home okay.
no subject
And when Pepper brings that up, Teddy turns his head to look at her, giving her his most unimpressed look. "Yes, he has. Your boyfriend gave him alcohol. Ms. Romanova did too, apparently."
And before Billy can pipe up, Teddy lifts his head, as if he just knows he's going to be interrupted. "I know, I know, you're not drunk. You're tipsy."
no subject
He doesn't sound particularly apologetic, but surely he can get a few points for effort, right?
no subject
Logic befitting any drunk--oh, wait, any tipsy person.
"Can you two make it home okay?" If Billy needs to sleep this off, then he and Teddy will likely end up in a spare bedroom anyway. But considering what they'd been doing, Pepper speculates they'll be saying their goodbyes to everyone soon.
