Happy Happy Turkey Day

Summary: It's Thanksgiving. There's a meal and socializing. Also fun.
Rating: PG, PG-13 max? A kid got invited to this.
Considering how last minute all of this had been, Pepper was actually pretty satisfied with how things were turning out. Rogue had shown up early with helpers in tow, immediately setting to work in the kitchen. The house had been filled with delicious aromas shortly thereafter, and Pepper busied herself with the other details until guests started to arrive--at which point part of her job became keeping people out of the kitchen, per Rogue's orders.

The set up was straightforward: the dining room table was used to hold the assorted dishes, where people could fix themselves plates. A similar set up with drinks (although please, don't give alcohol to the children). Chairs set out for people to sit, since there were too many to even attempt a traditional sit down dinner. But that was fine by Pepper, who made her way through the group, making sure everyone was happy, or at least not destroying part of her house.

Better safe than sorry, with this crowd.

Well Henry wasn't much of a superhero, unless you'd count eating a poisoned turnover and helping break a curse on your town, but he was at this thanksgiving get together. Why? Well, Henry had gotten into contact with Pepper who had invited him along. So far, the boy had kept relatively to himself. While he was curious to ask who each person was, at the same time he was just a little too tired. Coffee and staying up all night does that.

In any case, he ended up bumping into one of the guests. Stepping back a bit he went to apologize to the man, before he started to stare for a moment...didn't he see this guy somewhere before? "Sorry, but do I know you?"

It took a moment for it to click that this was the kid Pepper invited, one-and-the-same that he'd talked to a week or so ago on the journal. Actually knew who Iron Man was, which was a mark in his favor - but he didn't recognize Tony on sight? Psh. Some fan. He was the only one here with a light in his chest, wasn't he?

"As a matter of fact, you do. What, don't you recognize Tony Stark when you see him?" Never mind that Tony certainly couldn't recall what this kid's name was.

Well, sorry Tony, Henry never got to see the movies. In fact, he had been a little too busy trying to break curses and get his mom back to Storybrooke. Also there was the fact he was a bit sleep deprived. But when he notices the light on his chest and with Tony's rhetorical question, it clicks.

But he does get a grin on his face. "Well, now I do. It's nice to finally meet you, Tony."

Well, at least it didn't take him long to put two and two together. Even if he hadn't that one to him.

"You're right - it is nice to finally meet you...kid."

Yeah, Tony can't remember his name for the life of him.

"It's Henry," Henry had replied, essentially picking up on the fact that Tony didn't even remember his name. But that was fine he probably didn't exactly catch onto who Henry was anyways. That or this kid is giving the man way too much credit.

"Right - Henry. Did you take my advice? Move in by the superheroes?"

"Uh, sort of. I found out that where I'm living that Captain America lives there too."

Oh, goodie. So, where Tony's dad lives, too. That's not weird.

"Well, that's better than nothing, I suppose."

And Henry caught onto Tony's not so happy tone. Curiously looking up towards him, Henry decided to ask.

"Is something wrong with that?"

He might have caught on, but Tony wasn't about to share. "Oh, no, nothing at all," he answered dismissively.
