AvX: Snowball Edition! (Otherwise known as the Marvel-ous Snow Battle)
Who: Invited Marvel cast and friends
What: Snowball Fort!
When: Christmas Eve afternoon
Where: the Battle Dome
Summary: Natasha's avoiding gift-giving by causing chaos instead.
Rating: PG/PG-13 for snowball violence?
Natasha has spent the better part of a week working on a scenario in the Battle Dome with one specific purpose in mind. On the morning of Christmas Eve, an invitation is hung up on Floor 5’s bulletin board inviting the residents to show up at a specific Battle Dome room at promptly 3pm to receive their Christmas Gift. They are instructed to dress warmly. The same invitation is slid beneath the door of the apartment floor shared by Steve, Howard, Bucky and Henry, as well as those of Houses #16 and #49.
Upon entering the specified room, each invited guest will first find themselves in a small prep room with tables holding a selection of snowball guns, slingshots and other inventive snowball-themed weapons in a variety of sizes. The guests are not required to take one, but there’s enough of a selection laid out for people who might like to try them out.
With that accomplished, a door opens up, inviting them out into the real portion of their ‘gift’. The snow fort is built out of solid ice blocks and made up of a ring of walls surrounding an open courtyard(And please pretend the image better matches the description in more than just general structure. Also there’s no actual floating island. Sorry?) All the walls are at odd angles, blocking any clear lines of sight and making most of it a twisting maze with sharp corners. There’s an open path atop the walls and a sheltered corridor within, with openings to shoot out of and large arches connecting the different sections. Two towers loom over the courtyard, giving a high vantage point but a difficult line of sight and little cover. A few short walls and several tall snowmen offer the only cover within the courtyard itself.
Snow falls continuously on the fort, keeping the ground covered with fresh snow, perfect for packing. It drifts up here and there in small hills and even creeps into the inner corridor, wind kicking up gusts of flurries every now and then. If you’ve picked up one of the snowball weapons, however, you’ll find the only ‘ammo’ that works correctly in them is from a large mound of snowballs at the very center of the courtyard, a supply that doesn’t seem to run out, no matter how many people take.
Don’t think the people you entered with are the only ones you have to worry about firing at you, however. The fort is rigged with a variety of snow traps that trigger at random. Walk through an archway and you might get a load of snow dumped on your head. Dash from one shelter to another and you might get pelted from above, or by one of the otherwise-immobile snowmen in the courtyard. And don’t be surprised if at some point a giant snowball is seen rolling through the corridor between the walls, Indiana Jones style, only to fall apart on the first person or people it catches up to.
There is a careful power cap built into the entire layout, restricting every snowball to have the same amount of impact, no matter what force it is thrown or fired with, to keep anyone from getting hurt. Only snowballs can be used as a weapon within the scenario; the structure itself is also unbreakable. While some powers/magic have been allowed within the fort, anything like transportation or invisibility has been strictly prevented. Natasha’s not entirely certain what all the non-Avengers invited might be capable of, but she’s done her best to insure everyone has an equal chance of getting pelted with snow if they’re out on the map.
There is one exception to this: An observation room has been set in the base of one of the towers with a large window overlooking the courtyard. A comfortable seat has been arranged for a still-recovering Coulson and a control panel set up in front of it, with limited access to the fort’s automated defenses and snow traps. No snow can be carried inside this room, making it an effective safe spot for the man and anyone who’d rather observe than participate.
Natasha herself will be inside the fort, armed with a snowball gun and taking aim at just about anyone she comes across, or teaming up with companions if the opportunity pops up. And if anyone looks too comfortably holed in somewhere, expect her to come hunting you.

Depending on who the first person through the door is, they might be met with a snowball sooner than expected.]
Ben
Clint
He can only stare for a moment when he enters, the gun slung over his shoulder.
Of course he heads up to the walls, finding himself a decent vantage point and pelting people with snowballs that he makes once he runs out of ammo for his gun.]
