[She'd been expecting Kurt. They usually took lunch together. Shared stories of the day's events. Handled a little idle gossip. Kept close as family is meant to; but this. This was not Kurt. Unless in the pats twenty four hours he'd toughened and muscled up. The mustache is equally jarring.

[That was what she had been told. That the twin son was stillborn or something equally impossible and hurtful. The child had been dead and that was how she'd lived her life. Content with just Kurt.]
