["Nosy"? Wonderful. Just what Beast needs right now, a "nosy" person. (Especially a scientist; he hates scientists.) As soon as Spock comes into view he's going to pace right over into the opposite direction and slink into that dark corner between the two buildings. YOU DID NOT SEE THAT. NOR DID YOU HEAR THE DRAMATIC MUSICAL CUE.]

[With a wide flourish, the Vulcan points at the very obvious shadow of beast, lurking...]

You there!
It is obvious that you are up to something sinister... explain yourself!

[Putain. He shouldn't have to explain himself, he just wants some peace...]

If you wished to be left alone, then you would have chosen a less conspicuous place.
Come now, I demand an explanation.

[Spock stood there in all of his lab coat clad glory.]

What good will it do you?

[Said a little more harshly than he intended. No matter. He looks down and speaks more to himself this time.] What good will anything do...?

[spohkh]

Good? You are asking me what good a properly logical explanation will do for me?
I must point out that hiding in shadows with a melancholic attitude... practically begging for attention is far from logical.

You must explain yourself.
[Non-existent wind blows the flaps of Spock's lab coat.]

[He turns to face farther away from him.] Maybe it doesn't seem... lo-gic-al for you.

But for me... it's the only way I can... live with it.

[Spock blinked...]

Live with what, exactly?

[tailasoldascrime]

The... th-the loss.

[spohkh]

[Spock sighed....]

Perhaps you would be willing to expand on that? Loss of what exactly? Do you require help in finding whatever it is you lost?

[He responds in a deeper, raspier voice, with a tone implying defeat, emphasised in the last word.]

N-no one... can find... Obi-Wan.

[spohkh]

[The air rushed out of the Vulcan in a hurry as those words seem to stab him in the gut....

He knew... he knew that Obi-wan had been returned home, that he was no longer in Luceti.
And yet, his illogical self dared to miss him... Spock stepped closer to Beast...]

I grieve with thee... Master Kenobi was a great man, and he will be greatly missed by many. However, we must not allow this to bring us 'down'. Such is the way of Luceti....

[Spock wasn't very convincing.. he sounded sad.]

[He tries, he tries so hard to hold back, to not show his true feelings to Spock. He could sense the pain in the man's voice, but he grits his teeth to prevent any outward reaction...

But as he continues speaking... as he tells him what he should not do... it only brings him deeper... And before he can stop him, the tears begin to well up in his eyes... And he talks back through those clenched fangs just to hide everything a little longer...]

I-I don't... want it... to be the way...!

[spohkh]

[Spock regarded the beast before him, and with a large sigh of sorrow, stepped forward and embraced him.]

Do not give into sorrow... it is illogical. Instead, we must honour him by living our lives here to the best of our ability. He was... a good friend.
Him and Rachel... Lupin.... so many others. You or I could be next to disappear.

[tailasoldascrime]

[His head slowly turns towards Spock, just before he starts to realise that he's... what... Spock, what are you doing...?

But as he sinks into the embrace and settles his arms back around him, the surge of pain suddenly comes to him again... he tries to clench his teeth again to prevent it from showing, but his body betrays him as he begins to shake in Spock's arms.]

I... I-I don't want t-to... d-di... s-sappear...

[spohkh]

[Spock blinks... Why was Beast shaking so much?
The Vulcan allowed for his mental barriers lower and felt......

...pain?]

Mister Beast... you are in physical pain. What is wrong?
[Dramatic Spock has become concerned.]

[tailasoldascrime]

It's t-too much... I-I can't... can't b-bear it... anymore...

[It's not really an answer to Spock's question but it's something as Beast's hands start to clench while they're still around the vulcan, as if attempting to fight off the pain.]

[spohkh]

By Surak, what is wrong! [Spock clutches Beasts' arms and attempts to make eyecontact.]
You must inform me what ails you or I might resort to drastic measures. [Because everyone knows what will happen if Spock is forced to take you to the hospital during a shift like this.]

Why are you in pain?

I-I don't know!

[He suddenly yells out in frustration, flailing his arms out to push Spock back.] I-It's just pain! It's all I've ever felt since he's left and I don't know how to make it go away! It's a part of me!

[spohkh]

[With a dramatic flourish, Spock is pushed back and lands not-so-gracefully on the ground.

Blinking up at Beast...he points.]

I may be able to assist you... but you have to trust me. I would have to commune with your mind...

[tailasoldascrime]

[His anger stops abruptly.] What? You, c-can you do that?

[He doesn't even know what "communing" is, but it sounds useful!]

[spohkh]

Yes... because I am a touch telepath.

[Spock looks dramatically at an invisible camera.... then back at Beast.]

Do you agree?

[tailasoldascrime]

[Somehow that dramatic gaze assures Beast of Spock's abilities, and he gently nods.]

Yes. It... t-try "communing"... with me.

[He gazes at his companion in anticipation, unsure of what he's about to do.]
