[She stops short yet again asif waiting to reveal something after the commerical break another thought enters her mind. Her father...is a criminal. He says she shouldn't be proud of him, but she hasn't exactly lived an honest life herself. If he knew of the things she did, who she worked for...would he be ashamed of her?

[Oh, he is breaking his newly found little girl's heart. He can see it in her eyes! He has only been a father for two minutes and he is already abysmal at it! Carmelita's ghostly spirit damn him!]

[ So many days she had gone to class, sat in her desk and listened to the before her now, never knowing, never suspecting. But now she knows. She knows that her father is a criminal, like herself. That her father is her teacher. That she spent so much time looking for him under her boss's employ, only to find she had found him without even knowing. This was the man her dear mother had loved so much.

Her hand on her forehead, Pilouette stumbles back, eyes wide. The shock is too much.]

[Layton takes one step forward, brandishing his monocle between them like an ace attorney with decisive evidence.]

And so you see the depth of my deception. Pilouette! I sought your trust as an instructor while giving you none in return. Every word I spoke to you as Hershel Layton was laced with dishonesty!
