Coffee Shop Construction is a go!
Who: Natasha Romanoff and anyone conned into likely to swing by and help
What: Before it can open, the coffee shop needs a little tlc and a few touch-ups.
When: Friday, May 10. Possibly extending into the weekend.
Where: The future location of A Shot In The Dark coffee shop. (AKA, Building M)
Summary: Natasha calls in a few favors and bribes a few friends and teammates into helping her get the coffee shop ready to open. Anyone able to hammer a few nails, wield a paint brush or broom, or move some furniture is invited.Or come ogle some of the shirtless males she's put to work, that's acceptable too.
Rating: PG. Probably. >.>
Natasha's still not entirely sure why she's doing this. Most mornings, she wakes up with the inevitable realization that she's probably lost her mind. She's not one to put down roots, to make a commitment to anything, because things don't last, situations change and her lifestyle choice of 'don't get attached' is slowly getting buried under a mound of teammates, friends, and persistent pests that somehow end up being debatably endearing.
And, apparently, a coffee shop.
Yup. She's definitely lost her mind. That doesn't seem to stop her from going each day and working on the little shop off the plaza, although she's reached a point that there's not much else she can do on her own. She needs help. A galling realization, but hey, that's what teammates are for, right? So, on a bright and sunny Friday morning, she rounds up what help she can find to pound out the last few renovations needed for the place.
((OOC Note: Most of the work needed is inside the cafe itself, although some work can be done outside as well. The doors will be propped open for people to come and go and they're taking pretty much a blank slate of an interior and turning it into this. So, work your character could possibly be doing is helping construct the coffee bar, painting the walls, hanging light fixtures or the shelving behind the coffee bar. Cleaning up the tables and chairs or the other surfaces inside once the sawdust and nail-pounding clears up. And if someone wants to get creative and make her a sign, she will be eternally grateful.
There will be a constant supply of drinks and snacks as well, for people wanting to take breaks or those wandering by to eyeball the proceedings. Hop in, help out, or just stop by to chat.))

So he shows up around midmorning, dressed in clothing he doesn't particularly care about, towing along a cooler full of drinks and what he's gathered are universally necessary sandwich ingredients. He'll be putting together a few while he watches, or otherwise roaming the site on missions of food- and beverage-providing mercy.]

She doesn't catch who's responsible until she catches him by the cooler and she wanders over to lean on the new counter beside him.]
Ahh, so this is where it's come from. My hero.

[He finishes with the bread, slapping it back onto the completed sandwich and shaking it into a sandwich baggie. It's zipped up and tossed back on top of the ice with the sodas, a motion he's been practising for the better part of the day. Who knew superheroes doing manual labour ate so much?]

Also I'm fresh out of plastic spoons, so the world can rest easier for the moment.

You mean Steve isn't here to avert mutinies for you? [He chuckles to himself, nodding his chin toward the man in question. The man in question is doing things with lumber that make his back muscles roll, sliding under the skin with enough devastating effectiveness that Jack's begun to wonder if his anatomy isn't somehow against the Geneva Conventions.] He seems awfully fond of the whole law and order bit.

Besides, he has a soft spot for a certain sniper. Who happens to be fond of causing mischief with an archer we're both familiar with. And then mayhem ensues. [Easy enough to figure out who she was referring to when her gaze drifted to Clint and Bucky painting the far wall. Somehow she suspected they were going to end up wearing more of the paint than her wall before the day was out.
Her gaze drifted on then, lighting on Eugene for a moment before she glanced back at Jack.] Your companion seems to be doing well getting back on his feet.

In regards to Eugene, he just shakes his head, as if he's been asked to acknowledge something that's more trouble that it's worth. It's all there when he glances at him, though, a single moment of warmth and subtle relief before he's all rueful banter again.]
He's a mess of sore muscles and whining every evening, but I'm told that's part of the process.

[She gives it as an easy agreement, her lips quirking faintly because she hadn't missed anything in that exchange and found it rather endearing.]
He's male. Whining's a given.
[It's a teasing poke at his gender, but she's witnessed enough of it - especially since falling in with SHIELD. Then again, she was usually the one who got to listen to Clint's when he was working his way through an injury. But she was pretty sure no one else - except maybe Coulson - ever heard a peep from him about it.]
