Weekend Get Away
Who: Kirk (universal_charm ), Spock (spohkh ), Emil (knightofratatosk ), Arya (aryaunderfoot ), Nymeria, and some others
What: That camping trip he promise is finally happening
When: Some weekend in May (to be properly updated when said weekend is decided upon)
Where: Out by the small southern lake
Summary: Kirk and Spock are taking the kids out on a weekend camping trip. Shenanigans, sugar, and other things she likely ensue!
Rating: PG, because kids
Kirk groaned as they finally came upon the lake. It had not been the longest hike of his life, and thankfully nothing had been chasing him with the very real intent of eating him, but still it was a climb and he could feel sweat dampening his neck. But, he had to admit, it was worth it, seeing the lake sparkling out in front of them, surrounded by pristine woods. You just didn't get that anymore in his world, as populated and urbanized as it was.
He shrugged off his pack from his back, reaching to get the tent he'd picked up from the store. It was rudimentary, at best, but it would do for a few days and hopefully no bad weather. Please, no bad weather. He could deal with a little rain, but it just seemed cruel to ruin a camping trip, you know? And it had been getting pushed due to a lot of other crazy business, so the least the weather could do is cooperate.
"All right, ladies and gents, let's set up these tents and then we can go check out the lake."
And, you know, try and catch dinner. Wouldn't that be fun?
