There and back again...
Who: Artemis and any close CR getting involved in the crazy train. Eventually Princess Tutu!
What: An intervention
When: Sunday
Where: CH5 Floor 4, primarily. Occasionally various encounters around town
Summary: Something's different about Artemis and her friends are starting to worry about her. But something's up that's not for them to fix.
Rating: PG-ish? Maybe PG-13 at the most.
[Action: Sunday, June 16]
[Artemis arrives back in Luceti Sunday morning looking tired and dirty and even more evasive and wary than when she'd left for the mission over a week before. Anyone intercepting her on the way home or at home is likely to get brushed off as quickly as possible as she locks herself in for a hot shower and several straight hours of uninterrupted sleep.
But even after some rest, Artemis is suspicious, defensive and decidedly close-lipped about what is obviously wrong. Even if she's not entirely sure what that might be herself. And if confronted enough times... for once, Artemis's first instinct is going to be flee rather than fight. At least at first...]

He hadn't been particularly skulking, but the sound of the fridge opening and closing might catch her off-guard if she hadn't noticed him flitting around.]
She's probably been shifted, if that's what you're worried about.

[She hadn’t; Zatanna had made that broadcast thinking that she was alone in spite of the floor kitchen being a public place. So she jumps a little at the unexpected noise, turning around in her seat to shoot Robin a look.]
I know I’m asking the impossible, but can you maybe not sneak into a room sometime?
[Okay, maybe she’s still a little annoyed at how their last talk went too. But she’s got good reasons—and better ones for taking him seriously, since Artemis is more important than whatever isn’t happening between them.]
I don’t know. Maybe. [She glances back at the journal.] But those are supposed to be unexpected, right? The first time she went on a mission, she left me a note. Then she went right back out after, as if she wanted to go. Plus we were all possessed when this started—would they have shifted anyone with something like that going on?

[It's mostly commentary to pass the time before his mouth is occupied with Sandwich. He's not interested in reacting to the latest "Zatanna is a crazy person" response to him being in the same room.]

Let me guess—first-hand experience talking? [It sounds like something Robin would learn the hard way. Not to mention that she isn’t about to let him get away with that shot at her and Artemis both, when he’s just as bad as either of them.] It’s still weird though. I mean, we’re a team. Why would she go on a mission without asking anyone at all to back her up? Especially if she were going to try something like that.

I'm sure I found something important. It was enough to make them decided I needed to be disciplined afterward. I don't recommend it.
But there are plenty of reasons she could've wanted to go alone. Maybe she was trying to scout ahead.

But you're aware that they took something away from you. Artemis just keeps insisting she's fine.
[And as for scouting, Zatanna still seems skeptical.] Maybe. But when wouldn't she talk to people afterward? Even if it was just to say she got punished.
