WHO: Any and all friends of Masaomi/anyone who happens to be on the beach! Invitations would’ve gone out via a (handwaved) secret entry or word of mouth.
WHAT: Masaomi’s birthday party, planned by Shikamaru-Gold-Ikki.
WHEN: Wednesday, June 19th.
WHERE: The beach!
SUMMARY: BEACH BIRTHDAY BASH. It’s pretty simple.
RATING: B FOR BIRTHDAY.

So after being reminded about Masaomi’s birthday, Gold came up with a much better idea than Shikamaru’s (lame) sit-down dinner! Therefore welcome to an all-dayish surprise beach birthday party! There are tables for presents and food, there is music (chosen by the boys, not by Ikki), and there is a sand castle city, complete with sandscrapers, which is what Gold put Ikki in charge of. The sand castle city has gotten a little out of hand because of this.

So stop by, wish Masaomi a happy birthday, and HAVE FUN. While there are three topic threads, FEEL FREE AND ENCOURAGED to just throw up your character at the party below that/anywhere, as per always.

Wailords... [Has he looked up that one... no, he can't place it. He hums briefly, but dismisses it before he tilts his head and looks a little curiously at Cilan, following that line of theatrics]

That sounds like something which'd be a sight to see, Cilan-san. I hope you'll get a shot at both of those, soon enough.

[Law's at the party but kind of hanging out on his own. Near his boat actually. Being as old as he is makes it somewhat awkward. Odd man out.

He's not in a swimsuit, but in board shorts, a Black Sabbath t-shirt, and sandals. It'll have to do. Instead he'll admire Masaomi City and give the birthday boy his greeting.s]

Yes, I hope so too! Wailord in particular is a Pokemon that originated from the Hoenn region, and are also supposedly the largest Pokemon in existence when it comes to height and width, from what I've heard. [Which is to be expected, considering that they're whales.] If I'm lucky, they'll be a wonderful sight to see along the way towards wherever the next Pokemon League tournament is meant to be held.

[Because Arceus forbid we take any detours that isn't close to ~~the plot~~ where Ash wants to go. Luckily for Cilan, that will be a non-issue as soon as he returns back to Unova at some point.]

[Well, Korra's certainly a familiar face here, so of course Cilan (who...even at the beach, appears to be almost the same as ever regarding choices in wardrobe, save for not wearing the fancy vest or tie at the moment) will go ahead and say hi once he spots her.]

Hello Korra! How nice to see you... [...And then sort of trailing off for a second upon noticing the polar bear dog accompanying her right nearby. Huh. His Pokemon are curious of it too, Pansage in particular tilting it's head back a little further to try to look up at it better, so Cilan has to ask, indicating the large dog creature.] Oh, who's your friend here?

[Having finished a nice base for a sand castle before forking it over to someone, Shikamaru was considering taking a nap in the trench he built earlier when a bark from Naga grabs his attention.]

Oh, Korra. You came too, huh?

"Hey, that's not a bad idea." Shikamaru surfaces from where he was tightly packing sand, off to Chouji's right. "This was supposed to be a building, but we could rework it to stretch from here," he says, pointing from one building to another across Chouji's stream, "to there."

How tall can you make these things?

[Oh, he's just flattering her again. Okay. Shiemi takes her "present" that she has for him, and thrusts it forward to his chest. Take it!!!]

[Okay, that was something completely unexpected. She comes a little closer to get a better look a the cute creature.] Is that normal for her?

[~~Fenimore may have heard about this before and I'm just forgetting but since I can't remember where she might have heard it before~~ She's trying to imagine how large a ball would have to be to hold Linda. Not...excessively big, but it would have been noticeable, right?]

[First thing out his mouth when he sees the man and confirms the distance between them because, well, he was coming over anyway]

Well then, Korra-chan! Unless you have some other gift for me, I'm going to hereby demand we have a bout of swimming together! Wet and ready and making it out to the ocean!

[With no small amount of dramatic hand motions]

Mmm? You're a league competitor, Cilan-san? That's somewhat surprising to hear.

[That comes out after a slight moment of thought, looking the man and his monkey over]

[His eyes widen a little, and his smile shifts into something altogether more genuine. He takes the box and-] Thank you, Shiemi.

Mmhm! It's a talent we picked up early and refined early, honestly.

[It's a bit harder without the electric stores she should normally have, but she can still manage the ambient around her well]

[Hinata gets closer and raises her hand before putting it back at her side once more.] May I...May I pet her? Does she like that?

Pokeball. It's about the size of a baseball and uses space age science to shrink pokemon into it. If I had hers handy, I'd show you.

Oh, no, I'm not. It's true that I'm a Gym Leader for the Pokemon League, but I'm quite satisfied with that position at the moment. [His job is to battle trainers and award them badges so that they'll be able to compete in the League tournament in the first place.] I was traveling with a friend, Ash, who was collecting badges from the Unova gyms and is on his way to compete in the elimination tournament for the Pokemon League. If he wins, he'll be given the chance to battle the Elite Four or even the Pokemon Champion, Alder, to try to take his title from him!

Just don't touch the ports on her cheeks, tempting as that might be.

[Which Linda agrees with. She smiles in spite of herself and adopts a more curled up pose as best she can balance on Masaomi's shoulder, keeping a even eye on Hinata. Masaomi also crouches some to make it easier on the both of them]
