WHO: Any and all friends of Masaomi/anyone who happens to be on the beach! Invitations would’ve gone out via a (handwaved) secret entry or word of mouth.
WHAT: Masaomi’s birthday party, planned by Shikamaru-Gold-Ikki.
WHEN: Wednesday, June 19th.
WHERE: The beach!
SUMMARY: BEACH BIRTHDAY BASH. It’s pretty simple.
RATING: B FOR BIRTHDAY.

So after being reminded about Masaomi’s birthday, Gold came up with a much better idea than Shikamaru’s (lame) sit-down dinner! Therefore welcome to an all-dayish surprise beach birthday party! There are tables for presents and food, there is music (chosen by the boys, not by Ikki), and there is a sand castle city, complete with sandscrapers, which is what Gold put Ikki in charge of. The sand castle city has gotten a little out of hand because of this.

So stop by, wish Masaomi a happy birthday, and HAVE FUN. While there are three topic threads, FEEL FREE AND ENCOURAGED to just throw up your character at the party below that/anywhere, as per always.

[Having gotten a lot of practice with sandbending in last summer, Aang is working as one of the prime architects of Masaomi City. He takes pauses every now and then to regard anyone nearby.]

How do you like it? Any requests?

[And because it's summer, it's also time for Aang to be wearing just some tan shorts which means that his scar as well as more of his tattoos are visible.]

Hm...! Well if it's my city, how about a yellow flag?

[He says this from behind Aang, as he tried to sneak up behind him. It may or may not have worked. He did frown at seeing Aang's scar, but then he's also got his own (the one on his left side from when he nearly died from a spear, the one on his left shoulder whee it got smashed, some others]

[He's a bit startled - birthday boy how did you get there. But he greets him with a smile as he thinks over the problem. He does pick up on scars, but only gives them occasional brief glances. Spending lots of time around someone with a half-scarred face (and Sokka's own scar) has made it almost a normal sight for him.]

A flag? Sure! Maybe I can make one with a towel.

Wouldn't a towel be too much for sand to support? Or could it be that I'm underestimating sand?

It... might be? I never tried so I'm not sure. But what else could I use for a flag?

A piece of cloth or something, maybe?

Maybe! We should look around, then.

Do you really think there's that much cloth to be found on the beach? [A beat and...] Would could sacrifice some of Korra-chan's top, I suppose.

W-what? No, she's... she's wearing that!

And she can't even rip off a piece?! So stingy!

But- But- She needs it!

Only most of it, am I right?!

How tall can you make these things?

Not that much taller than a person. My sandbending is still needing some work. [Whereas Toph had made a whole earhy fort once.]

So much for a skyscraper, huh? [Well he doesn't sound too disappointed. He raises his hand, about neck level.] How about a tall narrow one, like this? With a spire on top.

[He adjusts his hand, to give it a little more height.]

[He takes a good look at Shikamaru's movements and nods.]

Hm, yeah! I think I can do that!

[And he starts making some earthbending movements, first spouting up some sand. And he slowly starts building it up, a few inches at a time.]

[Shikamaru jumps back a couple feet, giving Aang space to work with. He crouches there to watch, elbows on his knees. This is a pretty cool thing to observe.]

[And... bloop, bloop, bloop, slowly it gets built up to such a height. Aang takes a moment to wipe some sweat from his brow.]

How's that look, Shikamaru?

Grade A, Avatar Aang. [FINGER. RAISED.] Now what about a dinosaur half as tall as it?

Thanks! Wait, a dinosaur?! I never saw one of those in person. That'd be hard. Have... you? Are there... Ninja dinosaurs?

[He snerks, shaking his head because no there aren't.]
