WHO: Any and all friends of Masaomi/anyone who happens to be on the beach! Invitations would’ve gone out via a (handwaved) secret entry or word of mouth.
WHAT: Masaomi’s birthday party, planned by Shikamaru-Gold-Ikki.
WHEN: Wednesday, June 19th.
WHERE: The beach!
SUMMARY: BEACH BIRTHDAY BASH. It’s pretty simple.
RATING: B FOR BIRTHDAY.

So after being reminded about Masaomi’s birthday, Gold came up with a much better idea than Shikamaru’s (lame) sit-down dinner! Therefore welcome to an all-dayish surprise beach birthday party! There are tables for presents and food, there is music (chosen by the boys, not by Ikki), and there is a sand castle city, complete with sandscrapers, which is what Gold put Ikki in charge of. The sand castle city has gotten a little out of hand because of this.

So stop by, wish Masaomi a happy birthday, and HAVE FUN. While there are three topic threads, FEEL FREE AND ENCOURAGED to just throw up your character at the party below that/anywhere, as per always.

I...I can. [She was trying very hard not to embarrass herself here.] Just not very well.

[As he speaks, his arms are making gestures - as usually, but at the end of these gestures are little hand motions. But before his next statement he whistles. His Pikachu hears that, and goes to make her way over. It'll be a bit, so-]

So let's only go waist deep!

[She watched him with a concerned look on her face as he moves his arms around. She could see no purpose for his actions and she wondered if he suffered from muscle spasms that would explain the strange behaviour.]

I-I will content myself with only walking at the water line, Kida-kun. However, I do not wish to keep you from enjoying your day. If you wish to swim, you should do so.

Eeeeh. But I'd love to have two beautiful ladies out here with me, Hinata-chan! It would make things so much better!

[And there she is, Linda! In all her Pikachu glory, coming up behind Hinata! ...Little does either of them know Hinata has eyes in the back of her head]

[Hinata does not have eyes in the back of her head, but her vision is nearly 360 degrees when her Byakugan is activated. And while her eyes are normal now, there is nothing wrong with her instincts or her hearing.

She can hear the rodent's paws as they strike the sand and she moves before it can get near her, ready for trouble.

She stops short when she sees the yellow thing with a tail shaped like a lightning bolt.]

What is that thing?

My extremely gorgeous partner, Linda!

[He said with a wide, proud, grin. Linda, for her part, stops there once Hinata's turned, preens, striking a pose to show how strong she is. Looking generally smug. Or as smug as a Pikachu can look]

[Hinata looks between the boy and the yellow rodent before shrugging. She didn't judge Kiba or Shino for their companions and she had no intention of starting with Masaomi.]</small. Does she do anything special?

Does she? Does she ever!

[Even if her birthright is still on the firtz because of... choices he made. Probably. He's still not sure he's figured out exactly why, but this long in the game they've done a work around for it - or worked on that. Masaomi motions for Linda to hop over- and she does.

in a Magnet Rise. So it's really more she generates a magnetic field around her and floats over to plop onto Masaomi's head]

[Okay, that was something completely unexpected. She comes a little closer to get a better look a the cute creature.] Is that normal for her?

Mmhm! It's a talent we picked up early and refined early, honestly.

[It's a bit harder without the electric stores she should normally have, but she can still manage the ambient around her well]

[Hinata gets closer and raises her hand before putting it back at her side once more.] May I...May I pet her? Does she like that?

Just don't touch the ports on her cheeks, tempting as that might be.

[Which Linda agrees with. She smiles in spite of herself and adopts a more curled up pose as best she can balance on Masaomi's shoulder, keeping a even eye on Hinata. Masaomi also crouches some to make it easier on the both of them]

[She carefully lifts her hand and scratches the rodent behind her pointy, yellow ears, a faint smile on her lips and a blush on her cheeks. The Pikachu is soft and very cuddly seeming. While she is petting the creature, she has forgotten all out the boy who confuses her so much by flirting with her when it's obvious he doesn't mean it, about the water, about everything but her hand caressing the Pikachu's soft fur.]

[Hah. Linda, for her part, makes a few noises somewhere between pleased and exasperated (mostly pleased) at being petted, and shifts her position to get better and harder to scratch spots. Masaomi just grins, not wanting to interrupt her, but amused at how he's closed into a closer distance to both her face and her swimsuit'd chest from this position without her showing too much awareness of it. Haha]

[Hinata wasn't so absorbed by the Pikachu that when it moved she wasn't startled. When she jumps, she accidentally elbows Masaomi in the nose.

Her eyes get large and she covers her mouth with her hand.]

Oh, I-I am so sorry, Kida-kun! P-please forgive me!

Ow-! Oh, that smarted. [And he feels his nose to see- broken, not broken? Linda, for her part, briefly looks alarmed, but on seeing Masaomi isn't actually injured - he's not got a broken nose, at least - she starts laughing at him, rolling off of his shoulder entirely, landing on her feet. Masaomi, for his part, starts to snicker as this goes on, in spite of himself]

[Hinata stares at the two in horror before she can feel the corners of her mouth tip up into a tiny smile.]

I am sorry, Kida-kun.

Hey, hey, it's not problem. If that's unintentional, I can't even blame you. If it's intentional, then I'm going to have to say "good shot."

[A beat, and] But, if I can use it to extort swimming out of you, I'm open to it.

I-It was not intentional. [When he mentions trying to extort her into swimming with him, she can't help but blush once more. She does feel sorry for it but she's not sure about doing this. However, she feels that she owes him now.] I-I...okay.

-Seriously?

[Surprised, for just a moment, Masaomi pauses. Distinctly.]

[But he recovers just as fast, hopping back towards the ocean - he means to do a flashy double skip back to ankle deep but- Fails. Again, sand's lack of traction words against him, and he falls ass first into the ankle deep water.

And his Pikachu bursts out laughing again]

[She waits and then just stares at him for a second before she begins giggling with her mouth covered.]

I meant to do that.

[He didn't. He so, so didn't - and he's a bit embarrassed for it, honestly. But it also got his shirt wet, so he pulls off his T-shirt, rolls it up into a ball, and tosses it back to the short basketball stile to land next to Linda. This exposes his muscles, re-affirms his florescent pink wings, and perhaps most notably exposes two distinct scars - one on his left shoulder (warhammer) and one on his left side (a spear nearly killing him). There's others, but those two stand out the most]

[Hinata cannot help but notice the bright wings and the many scars covering his upper body. They're a little surprising, considering a few of them look to be rather life-threatening. She's curious about the stories behind them because most scars have reasons, but she doesn't want to be impolite and overstep her boundaries.]

Would you like a hand to stand up, Kida-kun?

[Dun dun dun.]

Sure, I'd love one.

[Heeeeeeh]
