WHO: Any and all friends of Masaomi/anyone who happens to be on the beach! Invitations would’ve gone out via a (handwaved) secret entry or word of mouth.
WHAT: Masaomi’s birthday party, planned by Shikamaru-Gold-Ikki.
WHEN: Wednesday, June 19th.
WHERE: The beach!
SUMMARY: BEACH BIRTHDAY BASH. It’s pretty simple.
RATING: B FOR BIRTHDAY.

So after being reminded about Masaomi’s birthday, Gold came up with a much better idea than Shikamaru’s (lame) sit-down dinner! Therefore welcome to an all-dayish surprise beach birthday party! There are tables for presents and food, there is music (chosen by the boys, not by Ikki), and there is a sand castle city, complete with sandscrapers, which is what Gold put Ikki in charge of. The sand castle city has gotten a little out of hand because of this.

So stop by, wish Masaomi a happy birthday, and HAVE FUN. While there are three topic threads, FEEL FREE AND ENCOURAGED to just throw up your character at the party below that/anywhere, as per always.

Well okay, let's go simple - do you know that magnets have two poles, and the opposites attract, but like polls repel?

[She nods.] Yeah?

[It is actually possible that she did not know this, but either way she would give the same response. No need to admit ignorance if he's going to explain it well enough for her to bluff!]

She's using that to repel against the ground. which lifts her off it.

I...see. [Not entirely.] So...the ground is magnetic?

[She shrugs. It's well beyond her knowledge of science.]

It sounds useful, at least, since she's pretty short.

Mmmhm. It's been really useful to her. I'm surprised she hasn't gotten a little chubbier, given how much she likes to do i---t. [Linda coated he tail in iron when he said that, and he laughs it off before she removes the iron, frowns, and hits him in the back of the head with her normal tail]

[Didn't it look like her tail was metal for a moment there? -- Maybe it was a trick of the light.]

You seem to have a penchant for saying things that make her hit you.

That's just how she expresses her love for me! [And at this Linda doesn't hit him, but she does leap off of his shoulder and starts to have a tsun fit. That is "Oh my God how could you say it just like that! Don't be so brazen!!"]

That doesn't seem like a very healthy way to express it. [She says with absolutely no self-awareness whatsoever.] I guess it's lucky you're pretty sturdy.

For sure. Try hitting my abs, you'll break your fist.

[WA-POW. In fact, he slaps at his own abs. He's proud of his core muscles.

[She grins.] I think I'll pass. I'd rather my fist not get broken, so I'll have to take your word for it.

[Sorry Linda her attention has largely returned to Masaomi.]

Aaaah, that's a shame. I like to how that off a little.

[Well, she doesn't look long, since she's still not entirely used to people seeming half-dressed in swimsuits, but it doesn't take long to note that those are some pretty impressive abs.]

I guess you must keep yourself busy when you're not out chasing women.

I've slowed down a little, buuuut. I didn't do bad for while until then. And I do try to keep it up some.

What made you slow down?

[Her tone's casual rather than particularly curious. She is a little curious, but not to the point of actually trying to stick her nose into it if he gives a vague answer.]

You seem to do pretty well at relaxing whenever I see you. [By which she means he doesn't really seem that busy. Then again...] I guess it's good that you can take advantage of what free time you have.

How do you know I just don't make a schedule of running into you?

[She opens her mouth to say something, but closes it immediately afterwards. After a moment, she gives a half-smile.]

I guess I don't know. [Her tone is amused -- she is certain it's a joke.] Is that what you're so busy with? Planning run-ins with pretty girls?

[She is entirely unabashed about indirectly calling herself a pretty girl.]

Hmmm, let me think... [And then, finally, he snaps his fingers before] Nope! As much as I'd like to say that, I can't!

[And then he makes a little swirly hand motion in the air]

[She makes an amused sound that is nearly a laugh.]

I guess you're lucky that it's not so hard to run into them around here if you're just relying on chance.

Please be more romantic, Fen-chan! Let's call it "fate" for now!

[Even if Fate's never kind to him. Still, he smirks]

[She smirks back.]

Sure, sure. Fate it is. But I think that my fate is to take a dip in the ocean while I'm here. I'm sure you understand.

[Well, probably she'll just be wading. There's a fair number of people around. But, still, she can't very well come to the ocean, even a weird one like this, without getting her feet wet, at least.]
