It wasn't something Anise could answer easily. She tried not to for Ion's sake, but Arietta wouldn't stop antagonizing. Anise sighed loudly and wiped the water off her face before answering.

"I'm trying not to, really! It's just that..." She really didn't have an excuse. She couldn't blame Arietta.
