Luceti Valley - The Second Log

Luceti Valley continued in its own merry little way. The rich got richer, the poor got poorer. A new tax hike had ensured increasing animosity between both groups, despite the protests of the every charitable Lord Mayor. But on the sixth day, something happens and people begin to notice things are unusual. Idle thoughts that if thought about too much is bound to get you a visit to the police station for an hour or so. Or worse, it may just get you committed.

Meanwhile, the asylum continues to gain more and more patients. Those that are trapped there will find escaping difficult, but there may be more to this place than they first assumed...

On the tenth, battle breaks out across Luceti Valley. People begin to exhibit powers and abilities they didn't know they had. The police begin rounding up these people to lock up. If they resist, its bound to come to blows. Even though no one has regained their memories of their true self yet, it becomes apparent that some trickery is afoot, even if they might not know the source or why.


Note: This is the second log! There will be a third and final event log for the aftermath. There will also be two separate logs specifically for finding John and defeating Zompano. For those of you that signed up, we'll be randomizing the results and replying to the selected characters later tonight. In the meantime, keep enjoying the event! [Clearly the first thing she wants to see is a doctor. Not one to drag her off for tests but one with a clipboard and a lab coat none the lest. Who oddly seems to be double checking to make sure that her superiors aren't paying attention as she goes over.]

You are drawing attention to yourself. This is not something you want.

It's hard not to when the only justification of being brought here is being unaffected by a Shift.

[ She is on edge, her diplomacy fading away into a scared animal backed into a corner. Marita crosses her arms and holds them close to her, as if she is freezing. Calm in the bowels of the monster, as if it hasn't played out for her before. ]

I'm sorry, you don't deserve to be treated like that when it isn't your fault. It's a... personal discomfort of mine. Being trapped in facilities like this with few options of getting out, that is.

[She's not sure what the woman is talking about. But mad or not, her patients should not be treated like this.]

And you should not be treated like this. The people in charge have...have....

Whatever they are doing this is wrong. I cannot help very much, no one is listening to logic, but if you do not draw attention to yourself then they should not bring you for such horrid experiments.

[That is her current theory. She wants it very much to be right.]

I know. [ Her voice has a hint of fear in it. The reminders of experiments just leaves her throat feeling tight. She leans against the wall, looking downward and avoiding the doctor's line of sight. ] The Shift shouldn't go on for long, but there is no telling when this will end... or what is even going on on the outside.

We have no way of knowing if they are the ones who are safe... or if we are.

Things are getting worse. That is all I know.

Whatever is happening, is connected to all this. There are too many people being brought in here for this to be normal madness.

Something isn't right.

[Which yes, obvious. But Tenenbaum is still convinced of the AU going on. The only thing is that the AU still has her being smart. And things aren't adding up.]

I would have to agree. [ After all, she wasn't all that rampantly loud about her observations. It was only to a few people, but they had seemingly reported her regardless... ] Usually that means something is going to happen, just before the Shift ends, but... there is no telling how long it will take.

Or what will happened between them and us in the meantime.
