Luceti Valley - The Second Log

Luceti Valley continued in its own merry little way. The rich got richer, the poor got poorer. A new tax hike had ensured increasing animosity between both groups, despite the protests of the every charitable Lord Mayor. But on the sixth day, something happens and people begin to notice things are unusual. Idle thoughts that if thought about too much is bound to get you a visit to the police station for an hour or so. Or worse, it may just get you committed.

Meanwhile, the asylum continues to gain more and more patients. Those that are trapped there will find escaping difficult, but there may be more to this place than they first assumed...

On the tenth, battle breaks out across Luceti Valley. People begin to exhibit powers and abilities they didn't know they had. The police begin rounding up these people to lock up. If they resist, its bound to come to blows. Even though no one has regained their memories of their true self yet, it becomes apparent that some trickery is afoot, even if they might not know the source or why.


Note: This is the second log! There will be a third and final event log for the aftermath. There will also be two separate logs specifically for finding John and defeating Zompano. For those of you that signed up, we'll be randomizing the results and replying to the selected characters later tonight. In the meantime, keep enjoying the event! He does? Well that would be the first person I'd confront. Well, I wouldn't but someone should.

[windandrain]

It should be us. It's only right, that we do something about this.

[sun_showers]

[That makes her a little nervous. She's not really keen on that idea, but she's not going to let Saori do this alone.]

I don't even know where to find him. Especially in this chaos.

[windandrain]

[Saori's not really sure she wants to drag Yuuna into this, either. But she can't exactly say that.]

We'll find him. Probably at the center of it all. Or at his house.

[sun_showers]

I guess we're going to have to go looking then. [And then she'll let Saori do all the talking.] I hope we can find him without getting stopped, I just don't want to fight another horde of men.

[windandrain]

Yes, but let's rest a few more minutes. You need to get your strength back.

[She nods and renews the hug with new vigor.]

I've got no desire to fight again either. Hopefully we can talk him down.

[sun_showers]

I hope so. I just don't understand why he'd order the police force out like he has. If he's even the one in charge. I don't know...

[She returns the hug of course. Any comfort was welcome.]

[windandrain]

Something's been done to us. Otherwise, why are we having these new instincts? This...power? We should't, but it's like muscle memory. And he's always been an egotist, so maybe he's responsible.

[This was beginning to sound like one of Barnaby's comics...]

[sun_showers]

I've never understood it. Everyone just adores him so much, but he's really not all that special is he? He's just the mayor. Politicians are nothing but liars anyway. [She flexes her own hand. None of this made sense, not her new abilities, nothing at all. And in the face of this, it really wasn't a good time for her to turn tail and run and hide behind someone.]

[windandrain]

Liars and charlatans, yes. And Father wondered why I was never interested in politics. [She sniffs derisively] I say we go find him and demand some answers.

[sun_showers]

[She looks back nervously, but nods. But first, she has to whine appropriately, even though she's not entirely serious.]

Can we go after we eat? [BOTTOMLESS PIT TALKING RIGHT HERE]

[windandrain]

I guess so. Better to get re-energized I suppose.

[Hugging her wife, Saori gives her another reassuring little kiss on the cheek.]

Don't look so nervous. We'll make it through.

[sun_showers]

[Her face scrunches, smiling back to Saori.] Yeah. You're right. We'll be fine. Come on, let's go. I need to get up and stretch anyway. The last thing we need is cramps in our legs or something at the wrong time.

[windandrain]

Yes, let's get a move on.

[Saori rises, hand extended to her wife]

I promise, we'll make it through this together, safe and sound.

[sun_showers]

[Yuuna takes her hand, standing up and stretching her legs out, until she finally sets her eyes back on Saori and nods.]

[She's ready. She's scared, but she's ready.]

[windandrain]

[With a stoic nod, Saori starts off towards town, with murder in her eyes.

She's ready to end this. Once and for all.]
