What: A mallynap victim returns.
When: Afternoon of the 24th!
Where: Anywhere within the village.
Summary: Haru returns from his mallynap, and comes back not quite himself.
Rating: PG-13. Also possibly higher depending on the level of violence.
[The clouds seemed to gather together above the plaza, casting a large shadow over the village during what was previously a sunny day.

Emerging from the forest and heading into the village--well, more like staggering in, really--is a figure. Silver haired with a lean build, those that know him may recognize him as Haru Glory, but something seems different. Perhaps it's that strange, almost demonic-looking object wrapped around his arm, attached to a blood-red and black sword? Couldn't be...]

((ooc: There'll be a couple subthreads below, so if you volunteered for this, comment to the appropriate thread! The final battle will be between Haru and Ed Elric, who'll deliver the finishing blow. Comments will be coming from sacrifar))

[Cliff dropped the sack he was carrying down by his side the moment he noticed the staggering figure in the periphery, and caught onto two things immediately: 1- it wasn't quite New Feather season yet, as far as he knew. 2- There was something wrong with the stranger, likely an injury of sorts. But that thing on his arm...

There were two options left: 1- bear attack. Bears were known to attack, right? 2- abduction, but wasn't it unwise to jump to such conclusions with a stranger?

Being on the very edge of the plaza himself, Cliff had no excuse to just ignore him when he hobbled by. He reached out a hand to grab his attention.]

Hey, kid. 'Sup?

['You doing alright?'

There were so many questions he could ask, but most would reveal his intent. This was neutral enough.

He had a hunch that this would be a problem.]

HEY YO IMMA LET YOU FINISH AND ALL--

[--but Elie's thread comes first before Shuda and she's the best of all time. OF ALL TIME.


During her walks out looking for Haru with Plue in tow (or even in her arms,) one thing catches her eye: someone fighting him? She couldn't be certain, but it drew her closer, eyes zeroing in on the sword on his arm.

It couldn't be, right? That couldn't be Sacrifar!]

Plue, is that... it can't be that, right? Why would Haru bring that out here? He knows what happens with it!

[And as Elie is wont to do, she sprints out to where Haru is, bug-dog-thing Plue held out in front of her. Not too good a test to see how far gone he was, but she couldn't let him do something he'd regret.]

Haru! Haru, you have to stop! You can't do this!

[sacrifar]

[There's no response from Haru. Not even an acknowledgement to Cliff's presence. His expression is blank and empty, his eyes hollow.

The only thing that comes is him suddenly lashing out, swinging his sword at the muscular man that dared to reach out at him.]

[Haru turns his attention to Elie, walking closer to her now, slowly but surely. By now, he's engaged several people (and even killed someone), so the sword's bloodlust is at a high now.]

[Rock Lee is doing some stretches in the middle of the plaza when he notices the boy's approach. He stops and peers. Something doesn't seem quite right.]

Whoa!

[Cliff flung the bag away and whirled around on a dime, dodging the sword with his beyond human speed and ease.

Klausians. Bullets. It's common knowledge throughout the galaxy that guns don't work on his people and, so long as he kept his focus on the target, swords didn't work either.

Normally he would have immediately retaliated with an attack of his own, but the situation was strange. The kid seemed....off. Somehow.]

--what the hell is going on here?

[It was asked simply because he needed to get the words into the air. He readied himself, gloved fists ready to strike when the time came. He only faultered because of the nature of the world they were in-- this stranger, no matter how volitile he seemed, might very well be another resident in town. He wasn't about to go a hundred percent on someone that didn't entirely deserve it.

...but, that depended on where the fight went.]

[WOAH UH NOT COOL HARU]

H-Haru, come on, it's me! It's Elie!

[Futile, and she knows it. It didn't work the last time, it likely won't work now. Still, she can hope that this place might have dulled his powers a little bit, and maybe, just maybe? She can get through to him.]

Look, even Plue is with me! He was worried about you!

[Haru's movements were definitely strange, to say the least. Each swing carried the intent to wound and kill behind them, but he didn't pursue his opposition. He made no effort to chase after Cliff, instead just slowly walking towards him, almost as if something compels him to move forward.

Haru makes no movement to attack Cliff again yet, instead standing there, his blank eyes staring at him.]

[Haru detects physical exertion from Lee, deeming him a potential threat. Once Lee's in range, Haru takes a swing at Lee without provocation.]

[Luceti has dulled Haru's powers, but that's only served to make the sword's control over him even worse this time. Her words won't reach him.

He takes another step towards her now, and raises the sword above his head.]

['At least this isn't as bad as fighting Albel.'

Cliff reminded himself of this fact as he cracked his knuckles in preparation-- or anticipation. It was hard to tell the difference between the two sometimes when the fight itself was a genuine pleasure.

He didn't let his guard down, but he didn't move.

Yet.]

What, you don't have anything to say? Geez, you're no fun!

[Overconfidence. He had to make that jab.]

[He has his eye on you, weirdo. So when Haru makes his strike, Lee is able to act quickly in leaping back a few yards. And he lands in a defensive position. But he's confused. Why would this youth attack him for no reason?]

Excuse me! What is the meaning of this?

[Fayt was just heading back from a practice session in the battledome when he spotted Haru. He nearly raises his hand to wave him down, surprised and pleased to see him in person again after their first meeting on TERRACE, but he pauses, his expression morphing to concern as he spots something odd.

His arm. Nothing about that strange, twisted mess looked good at all. He jogs over, deciding to see for himself if something had happened and if the guy needed help.] Hey, are you alright?

[Time to backstep really, REALLY fast.]

I'll throw Plue at you again, Haru! It worked the last time!

[It likely wouldn't this time. But she could hope it would. Elie will wait for her opening, readying poor Plue as she tries to stay out of his sword's reach.]

[sacrifar]

[If Haru was conscious of his actions right now, he'd surely have something to say. But as it stands right now? All he wants is to fight. To attack. To kill.

Haru takes Cliff cracking his knuckles as a sign of aggression now, and immediately lashes out with a slash.]

[sacrifar]

[Haru keeps moving towards Lee, taking another slash at him.]

Hnn...

[sacrifar]

[Haru doesn't respond to Fayt's question, or even look at him, instead lashing out at him with a slash of that sword. Hopefully your reflexes are quick, Fayt.]

[sacrifar]

[Oh, now she's trying to escape. Can't have that. Haru begins to run towards her now, at the same pace as her attempts to backstep away.]

[Lucky for Fayt, they are quick. The quick backstep he takes when Haru lashes out with that sword isn't the most graceful, but it's successful enough and just in time to get him out of the way. His hand falls to the sword at his back as his eyes widen in surprise.] Whoa...!

What are you doing?!

[sacrifar]

[There's no response from Haru, as he charges towards Fayt again. If Fayt gets a look as his face he may notice Haru's eyes are empty and expressionless, devoid of life or emotion.]

[Cliff's foresight was as good as ever. He knew in his gut from day one that wandering Luceti unarmed could potentially be dangerous if he remained in the enclosure for long enough, and he was pleased that his choice in equipment was mobile enough that he could wear it anywhere and everywhere if he chose. Cliff blocked the blow with a sweep of his arm, blade catching on the outside of his armored gauntlet.

He still made no direct move to strike. He didn't want to risk carelessly hurting another resident.]
