Who: Haru Glory, and you!
What: A mallynap victim returns.
When: Afternoon of the 24th!
Where: Anywhere within the village.
Summary: Haru returns from his mallynap, and comes back not quite himself.
Rating: PG-13. Also possibly higher depending on the level of violence.
[The clouds seemed to gather together above the plaza, casting a large shadow over the village during what was previously a sunny day.

Emerging from the forest and heading into the village--well, more like staggering in, really--is a figure. Silver haired with a lean build, those that know him may recognize him as Haru Glory, but something seems different. Perhaps it's that strange, almost demonic-looking object wrapped around his arm, attached to a blood-red and black sword? Couldn't be...]

[This thread's reserved for the final battle, between Haru and Edward Elric.]

[There's a lot of chaos going on in the plaza today.

It's hard to miss, as he's heading up the street towards the library; whether it's the fog, or the kicked-up dust in the area, or the shouting, but Edward knows that something is up before he sees the full picture. Feeling on edge and cautious, he doesn't let it stop him from picking up the pace, hurrying to see what's going on. If there's trouble - if someone's in trouble - then like hell if he's going to just stand by and do nothing.]

[When Ed arrives, he'll see quite a sight. House 37's been completely demolished, destroyed in some attack. And not far off, stands its perpetrator, a silver-haired young man with a demonic-looking arm with a sword growing out of it, standing over an incapacitated body, with a severed and smashed metal arm, lying in a pool of his own blood.]

[Well, that... sure is something. Something that needs to be dealt with, and fast, from the look of things. It might not be immediately apparent who's the real offender in this fight - not without seeing who started it, even with the demon arm (not after the sort of stuff he's seen allies do here and back home) - but Ed isn't going to risk someone getting killed before he knows more about what's going on here.

Rushing forward, he claps his hands together and slams them against the ground, a rush of hardened stone tearing out of the dirt at an angle towards the demon-armed guy. He has no idea if it'll connect, but the goal is to get him away from the body for the moment.]

[Haru leaps into the air the moment that stone appears, landing on top of it and then sprinting down the side of it and straight towards Edward, deeming him the next target.]

[Edward lunges out of the way, clapping his hands together and transforming his automail arm into a blade, getting himself into a battle stance. This guy's fast, clearly, and he's not afraid to start a fight. With that big sword on his arm, he'll have to be careful.

Well, it's not like he isn't used to the odds being stacked against him.]

What the hell do you think you're doing!? Who are you!?

[No answer. Not even a grunt. Sword raised and ready, the moment he's within range, he takes a swing at Ed.]

[Untalkative, homicidal psycho? Yeah, he figures he's pieced together what happened here. There isn't enough time to dodge completely, and he's hoping to get within striking range, so he takes a risk and allows the blade to hit his carbon-hardened arm, grimacing as the blade scratches over the surface (Winry'll chew him out for that later). He shoves back against the strike, however, and uses that momentum to lunge forward, trying to get a few punches in before the next hit comes. He's aiming for the most obvious weak points- chest, stomach, and face.]

[Haru doesn't react to Ed's counterattack, not with words, nor with dodging. He takes every attack, but doesn't even seem to flinch. The damage is done, but he lashes out with an assault of his own, as if the body's moving in spite of itself.

He alternates between slashing at Ed's automail arm, deeming it the most obvious threat, winding blows to Ed's chest, and kicks to catch him off-guard. There's no rhythm to his pattern, just wild attacks.]

[Okay, so he's a tough guy. Like he hadn't been able to sort that out from the carnage around him. Unwilling to risk losing his automail, he's careful about choosing which attacks to dodge and which to deflect, occasionally putting some distance between them and clapping his hands together to smack the ground and let the earth below them fight for him. He'll worry about fixing the plaza, later. He's also careful to avoid getting too close to the fallen figure, working on getting them further away from the fountain area instead, into the woods. More material to work with, and away from the general population.

Too many parameters. By the time they hit the woods he's got cuts all over his arms and his heart's pounding in his chest, but hey, mission achieved. Now to take the guy out.

Which... is easier thought about than actually achieved. He claps the ground below him and lets it lift him up into the air, snagging a branch and swinging himself up to catch a breather. He needs to get in close to take this one down, but that sword is a problem...]

[Ed should enjoy that breather while it lasts, because it won't be for long. The moment Haru catches up, he's cleaving right through the base of that tree, and it gives a lot easier than your arm was.]

[Shit, there goes the tree. It was worth it, though, because even a few seconds to work through a plan is useful to him. He jumps up instead of down as the tree falls, ducking and climbing into the branches. With another clap of hands and a flash of light, the wood suddenly shoots out of the trunk towards Haru, intent on shoving him back or at least causing some damage to the sword-arm.]

[The shot from the tree completely blindsides him, launching him away from Ed. The attack unfortunately doesn't hit the arm, but it's at least successful in putting some distance between them.]

[Not what he wanted, but better than nothing. Edward doesn't dwell on it, or give his opponent time to recover- he's moving again immediately, dropping out of the branches and clapping his hands again as he falls. His feet hit the ground, and he immediately ducks into a crouch, slapping both palms into the dirt. Another series of slanted pillars thrust forward, headed right for Haru, and Ed's still on the move, clapping and smacking his hands against any solid-looking object surrounding them: trees, rocks, more ground, letting the scenery do the attacking for him. Between the sword and Haru's speed, his best bet is to either immobilize him or get him stunned long enough to get a few hits in.]

[Haru regains his ground, and when the pillars come out, he once again hops on them and sends himself airborne. He hops from tree branch to pillar to tree branch, evading the attacks, and then once there's an opening, he comes down from the sky with a downward slash. If Ed can dodge the attack, he might get the chance to land some blows as he recovers from the landing.]

[Damn, he's more agile than Edward wanted him to be. It's not entirely unexpected, but he's still irritably disappointed that his attacks aren't more effective. The sudden attack catches him off guard, but he doesn't let it stop him; a quick dodge to the side allows him to avoid being slashed in two, though the blade manages to catch his foot. Thankfully it's the automail leg, so instead of getting himself crippled, he merely loses the movement ability of his toes, and a good boot. He kicks off the ground with his other foot, using the momentum to spring back towards Haru, already twisting into a roundhouse.

How would you like an automail foot to the face?]

[C-C-CRITICAL HIT! He goes reeling back from the hit, bouncing off the ground a couple times before colliding with a nearby tree.]

[Score. Edward's on him in a second, clapping once more and slamming his hands on the tree at his back, warping its trunk and roots. The wood twists and bends to half-swallow Haru, roots winding around and around the sword arm to hopefully stop him from lifting it again.

Edward straightens up once the transmutation is done, gripping the other boy's shirt, lips curled into a snarl.]

Ready to give up!?

[The combination of blows along with the impact with the tree served to be enough to knock him unconscious. If any part of the blade was still visible from the tree, Ed may notice its shape and color have changed, its blade becoming silver-white and losing its slender shape.

As for Haru, he's unconscious, his eyes are closed, but the shadow that seemed to be obscuring his expression's vanished.]

[...Huh.

Well, good, that's one thing settled. Edward backs off, giving the guy another once-over to make sure he's secure and won't be able to escape when he wakes up. When he's satisfied with that, he heads off to call for some help and check on the injured.

He'll definitely have to look into this later, though.]
