Who: Rin, Shiemi, and whoever wants to show up for it...!
What: A pool party! With barbecue.
When: Friday during the day (so I'm late sue me)
Where: The pool behind House 15 and House 16!!
Summary: Rin called out anyone who wanted to Party, Pool, Eat Barbecue, and possibly even become one of his and Shiemi's roommates here and now it's several days later, where it's actually happening.

[ It's a pool party! Which means, of course, that the backyard and the small-ish pool here is dedicated to it. It was hand-dug originally and then later fixed up and reinforced a bit more, but overall the thing still isn't professionally made or anything. But it is big enough to hold maybe a dozenish people in it comfortably and at it's deepest it's probably less than nine feet deep. But it's still a pool! And later on there'll probably ba a volleyball net set up in it for pool volleyball.

And there's lawn chairs set up along side of it and a river basin not that far from it either if that's more your speed.

Either way, pool, sun, and Rin's working hard on grilling to let people have such classic as grilled corn, hot dogs, burgers, and other grilled things you might expect. and probably some actual barbecue stuff. So enjoy the pool, enjoy the party, or enjoy the food. Or enjoy all of the above! (there will only be one sub-comment on this log, which is for people who wanted to tour inside of the house to fulfill the new roommate proposal]

Touring the House.

[ this is where Rin and/or Shiemi shows you the inside of the house. It's this style house with Rin and shiemi in one bedroom each thus far. By far the stand out though is the main room, which has a lot of heated lamps to maintain a veritable garden of various plants, including a large thorn bush Skarmy sleeps in. There is also something like this couch in the center of it.

[And now for Rin's personal reply! He's in swimshorts! but he's also in an apron! This is because he's grilling things. Do you have requests? Do you want to get some of them? Both? Want to swim? There's that too

[Ikki hates his life. Or at least the party. He can't help but feel all uncomfortable here, he doesn't belong to parties, and it has been honestly a long time since he tried to go to any type of huge gathering. What is he doing here anyway? What was Selphie thinking in dragging him there? Not only parties aren't his thing, he really isn't yet in the mood to even force himself for it.

He ends hovering to where Rin is because, well, Rin is a big part on why Ikki didn't just shrug off Selphie and run to the mountains or somewhere to hide meditate until the party thing passed. Saying no to Selphie is a pain and something he prefers to do only when it's imperative, still he could have said it this time had it not been something Rin was organizing. It's stupid, but Ikki has the feeling that it would be "nice" for him to at least be there for five minutes to greet the other while he works on the party. Regardless of if it's appreciated or not, because Ikki will die before he assumes anyone is happy to see him around unless it's to help in a fight.]

"License to grill". Do you have actual documents to back up that apron's claim?

[Deadpan tone, because a simple "Hey Rin, how is it going?" is impossible for him.]

[Having heard about the pool party, Wanda decides that she's going to be brave, and actually attempt to be social. Plus, y'know-- there's a pool there. And how is that not awesome? Having scoured the shops for something appropriate to wear, she arrives wearing a two piece red swimsuit with a large men's dress shirt on over top of it. Her legs are still scratched to shit from her battle with the trees, but well on their way to healing. They look like she went wading through a pit of angry cats.

She feels generally awkward showing up at someone's house dressed like this, and with no gift to give to the host, but she's really not sure on protocol here. She just wants to try. Recognizing Rin from their previous encounter, she heads his way, grateful to know someone here, and hoping her remembers her.]

Hey... Long time no see.

[And at this, Rin turns to see who is greeting him properly. His tail curls a little and-]

He nods and-] Y..yeah, it's been a while. You're uh- Wanda, right?

[Bulla has the supplies ready for pool volleyball and at the moment, she's wearing a bikini top with matching bikini shorts. She was careful to choose something she could secure around her neck rather than around her shoulders. It's healed, but there's still a little residual tenderness, and she doesn't want the feeling of fabric digging in there, with how snugly swimsuits need to fit in order to prevent embarrassing wardrobe malfunctions.

She's got a very large box in her arms currently.]

Hi! Where should I put this?

Oh, just... over there, somewhere?

[He gestures vaguely to somewhere near the pool in the process of shifting to face her properly. He's been very haphazard about this, and his movement here is no exception.]

[Rin would you like a wet hug from the Maiden of Mio? Because whether or not he wants one, he's getting on. Once he's not too terribly busy at the grill that is, Cloche will pop out of the pool to give hum one of those hugs and smell what's being grilled at the moment.]

Hi, Rin! It smells good over here. I don't think I'd be able to keep calm around all this food if I were in your position.

[Cloche...! Oh well. He flushes up, but tries to roll with it. Oh. Um...]

I'm cooking it, that's all! Hey!

[ There is a lawn chair on the House 16 side of the backyard with one Ororo Munroe lounging atop it. Because she is in good spirits today, the sun is shining and there isn't a single cloud in the sky. Perfect pool party weather! It would be nice to take a dip, but as it is she's just enjoying the sun. Come say hello!

Later she does make an effort to mingle - or at least say hello to Rin and/or Shiemi and thank them for hosting a nice little party! She passes on the grilled things, but she does bring around a glass of whatever chilled beverage they had going around. ]

[When Ororo goes around to mingle Shiemi will be sitting outside the pool next to her giant bird of six feet. She'll also be stuffing her face with a grilled hot dog. Something she has only eaten since coming to Luceti. Do excuse her while she stuffs her face like a shounen hero.

Shiemi will wave as a greeting, though!]

[ ... That old lady really looks good. Too good, really. But that is pushed back into his mind's darker corners as he goes about the rest of the party until such time that she's going to find him. At which point he's probably trying to bounce the vollyball with just himself - he thought this would be easier]

[Kurt just kept on hearing about this pool all summer. And specifically, Rin's fears regarding his fur and it. But he used the pool at the mansion all the time without any complaints. So when the time for the party comes, he enters with a splash.

He bamfs above the pool, clad only in swimming shorts and cannonballing straight into the water.]

CANNONBALL!

[He goes into the water - and he needs it. Something like this. To help him deal with the break-up. He's wearing some colorful swimming trunks, but his insecurities are up - so the image inducer is on. Luckily it's waterproof.

He eventually gets out to dry off and enjoy the food. Might as well try to enjoy this last bit of summer.]

[She was in the pool when Kurt did his canon ball. The large splash gets her, and Shiemi yelps. However she's not a complete doormat!

When Kurt surfaces she cups her hands, and throws water at him. Counter attack!]

[ Which may or may not be irony. but eight way, he says this with a splash in his direction now he's in the pool too Blue shorts, tail out, full tilt]

[As Selphie floats by the edge of the pool Shiemi reaches out to tap her on the shoulder.]

[Oh, my! Grune had heard that Selphie was back, but until now, she hasn't had a chance to come visit her. So when she sees her friend at the party, she's absolutely certain to make a beeline for the edge of the pool with an overjoyed expression.]

Selphie! You're here!

[Aaaaaaaaand then she's distracted.]

I love your swimsuit!

[For her part, she's wearing, as always, a bikini, and as always, she looks smashing in it.]

[Would Cloche ever pass up a chance to say hello to Rin and mingle? Yeah right.

Even if she can't swim, she'll still be here in her bikini, wandering a shallow end where her feet can still touch. That's what she'll do for most of the day, though she's still a little wary of the water going over her head (and having a reenactment of the last time she was near this pool and falling in.) But hey, she's here and she's going to have some fun if it kills her! ...hopefully it won't.]

[While Cloche is taking a break from going in the pool Shiemi will approach her with a cup of water.]

[So this is what he meant by a pool. Geez, what kind of pool is this? A rectangular hole in the ground? She supposes it fills its purpose well for its size -- most pools this wide would not be deep enough to swim in -- but it's not exactly aesthetically pleasing. Oh well. So it goes.

Fenimore, as usual, doesn't join in the whole swimsuit thing. Her dress works for her. She spends quite a bit of time in the pool, but when there are too many others in the pool, she takes advantage of the lawn chairs to escape the crowd.]
