The first step is the one you believe in
Who: Pepper Potts, Tony Stark, and everyone who has gathered there today.
What: A wedding and reception
When: Sept 14, All Day
Where: Cherry Blossom Hill / The Battle Dome
Summary: Pepper and Tony are getting marriedfinally officially finally.
Rating: PG/PG-13 max? There's at least one kid here.
The decorations on the hill are simple ones; they've chosen this spot because it's naturally beautiful without the need for embellishments. Chairs have been set up for the expected guests, with a clear path laid out for the wedding party. And of course up front there is a place for those people to stand, in sight of everyone gathered so Tony won't be able to tell Pepper "I told you so" as color commentary won't be necessary.
After the ceremony everyone will be invited to go to the Battle Dome for the reception. There Tony's programmed an expansive hall with tables and seating enough for everyone. There's also a dance floor, which everyone is encouraged to take advantage of. The atmosphere is warm and vibrant, clearly intended to help all in attendance have a good time. Dinner will be served, and there's an open bar, with rum by request of the officiant.
Just don't get too rowdy, okay kids?
{{ooc: Visual references and details can be found here. Link is very image heavy. There will be separate threads for before the ceremony, during, and the reception.
EDIT: Now with a sign up to catch the bouquet!}}

Walking around with the good china perched on your bottom? Is that part of charm school?

Don't look so stiff, Jack. [She pats his arms lightly.] Isn't it usually a tradition that the son asks his mother for a dance at these sorts of events?

[It's cheek, but of the extremely mild and affectionate sort, and Jack is already sitting up straighter and looking for Sam to wave over.]
Haven't Max or Eugene done their due diligence yet? For shame.

I haven't let them, the beginning of this was absolute hell--like locusts, I swear.

He nods consideringly, smile thoughtful.]
Ants. Not bad. Aren't they supposed to be just ridiculously strong?

[He makes the confession with a laugh, but it's earnest. Oen likes hearing ones own species complimented, he supposes.]
Though if you're anything to go by, it seems like we're actually pretty weak compared to . . . Sel- er, sorry, what was the name?

[Jack grins teasingly, seeing Sam finally begin his stroll over and ducking out from behind the table. The next few songs up should be a little slower, and he pauses alongside Vastra, offering his elbow.]
Well then, mom, [He drawls teasingly, in an actual passable imitation of his accent during the shift when he'd temporarily forgotten that he was anything but pseudo-American.] May this little insect have this dance?

[Jack's not exactly seamless in his movements - pretty much all of his dancing knowledge is by way of Bucky or Eugene and at best only a few years old, after all - but he settles into a position to lead as a new track, one from Eugene's collection, croons to life. He offers a little smirk, fluttering his wings out behind him.]
Though I do have some feathers, you know.

Goodness, so you do. So you are merely a nearly naked pink chick.

[He gives one last little demonstrative slit, the folds them flat against his back again, stepping and swaying with the melody.]
Eugene might not be too happy about a beak, though. They seem inconvenient for kissing.
