The first step is the one you believe in

Who: Pepper Potts, Tony Stark, and everyone who has gathered there today.
What: A wedding and reception
When: Sept 14, All Day
Where: Cherry Blossom Hill / The Battle Dome
Summary: Pepper and Tony are getting married finally officially finally.
Rating: PG/PG-13 max? There's at least one kid here.
The decorations on the hill are simple ones; they've chosen this spot because it's naturally beautiful without the need for embellishments. Chairs have been set up for the expected guests, with a clear path laid out for the wedding party. And of course up front there is a place for those people to stand, in sight of everyone gathered so Tony won't be able to tell Pepper "I told you so" as color commentary won't be necessary.

After the ceremony everyone will be invited to go to the Battle Dome for the reception. There Tony's programmed an expansive hall with tables and seating enough for everyone. There's also a dance floor, which everyone is encouraged to take advantage of. The atmosphere is warm and vibrant, clearly intended to help all in attendance have a good time. Dinner will be served, and there's an open bar, with rum by request of the officiant.

Just don't get too rowdy, okay kids?

{{ooc: Visual references and details can be found here. Link is very image heavy. There will be separate threads for before the ceremony, during, and the reception.

EDIT: Now with a sign up to catch the bouquet!}}

[It's not often that he gets to see displays of the strength Teddy knows Billy has, so he's left looking surprised, arm around Billy's shoulder to keep his upper body balanced. That look soon fades to something that's very pleased, and he squeezes his hand to let him know that yes, he notices, and yes, he's impressed.]

Is that so? All right then.

[With that, Teddy kicks one leg out while letting go of Billy's hand, lowering it to the floor instead to support some of his weight. As his leg lowers to rest his foot against Billy's thigh, he tightens his hold around his neck to pull him down a little more, a playful ferocity in his eyes.]

Do whatever you want with me, Mr. Kaplan.

[There's a glint in Billy's eyes as he smiles, holding the posture for a moment longer to indulge in it before lifting up again, easing them into a more complicated dance as the song changes to something new- something faster, and thankfully more suited to the sudden surge of affectionate aggression. He's glad that Teddy's keen to play, because he's very interested in pushing a few buttons, so to speak.

Good buttons, mind. Only good ones. And he's also interested in finding out how far they can take this before one of them needs to pounce.]

I thought I'd start with a tango.

[Teddy follows along pretty well, his actions a little slow for the first two steps before he seems to figure out how to copy whatever Billy's doing and let his own legs move along to the more complex steps. He'll probably have more moments like that as the song goes on, having never really done anything like the tango before. But as long as Billy's like this, and as long as his nerves over dancing in public are effectively destroyed because of it? He's absolutely willing to go along with it.]

A tango, huh? You're sure shooting pretty high.
selfhelp: ([billy] I think I did okay this time.)

[Billy knows better than to push Teddy too far right at the starting gate - it's no fun for either of them if he's tripping over his own feet - so he starts it off with a quick but simple series of steps, giving Teddy time to catch on. He can always make it more complicated later on.]

Well, I know you. You like it better when it's hard.

[The speed of the steps as well as the specific movement of the legs required for the tango is a bit tough to catch on to, but Teddy manages, and soon he's able to keep up just fine. Still, he knows that it's only going to get more complex; you don't date someone who loves dances and don't learn a thing or two on what said dances are.]

I don't know... I think you're leaning more towards hard and fast here.
selfhelp: ([billy] hiiiiiiii~)

[personal profile] selfhelp 2013-09-19 07:21 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, sorry, am I going too fast? I'd hate to leave you behind.

[God, they are the most shameless. It's a good thing the music is too loud for anyone around them to hear much of the conversation clearly. He lets the dance carry on in the same style for a few moments longer to ensure that Teddy has it down pat, then adds a couple steps at the end of the routine.]
halfnhalf: ([teddy] my boyfriend's a norse nerd)

[personal profile] halfnhalf 2013-09-19 10:58 am (UTC)(link)
Well, if I do - [Teddy has to pause briefly to get a feel of this new part of the routine, eyes glancing down for a moment before he looks at Billy again. Right, that's right, don't look at the feet.]

If I do fall behind, I know you'll help me catch up. I know you, too... You wouldn't want to finish without me.
selfhelp: ([billy] aaaactually...)

[Billy's expression is both pleased and proud, and he draws back to send Teddy out for another spin.]

Oh, trust me, I won't be going anywhere unless you're right there with me. It's no fun to leave your partner feeling frustrated.
