What: A wedding and reception

Where: Cherry Blossom Hill / The Battle Dome
Summary: Pepper and Tony are getting married finally officially finally.
Rating: PG/PG-13 max? There's at least one kid here.
The decorations on the hill are simple ones; they've chosen this spot because it's naturally beautiful without the need for embellishments. Chairs have been set up for the expected guests, with a clear path laid out for the wedding party. And of course up front there is a place for those people to stand, in sight of everyone gathered so Tony won't be able to tell Pepper "I told you so" as color commentary won't be necessary.

After the ceremony everyone will be invited to go to the Battle Dome for the reception. There Tony's programmed an expansive hall with tables and seating enough for everyone. There's also a dance floor, which everyone is encouraged to take advantage of. The atmosphere is warm and vibrant, clearly intended to help all in attendance have a good time. Dinner will be served, and there's an open bar, with rum by request of the officiant.

Just don't get too rowdy, okay kids?

[Ah. Right. The wedding is still something they should be involved in.

Itachi nods, allowing Law to lead as he still has his thoughts to get back into order before he'll be much for conversing with anyone else.]

[It seems that they're walking towards a bit of a crowd clustered around the happy couple. There's a lot anticipation about something, especially from the ladies in the crowd, and Law's brow creases, perplexed. Now what?

This is when the bouquet comes sailing over the people and straight at him.

He snags it out of the air by instinct.]

... uhhh...

[... and now it dawns on him what just happened. Well. Um.

Errrrr...

Good timing?]

[Itachi, meanwhile, has no idea of the significance of this. It takes him a moment to even figure out what his fiance has caught. The scent soon makes it easy.

Are there flowers being thrown out all around? It doesn't seem like it.]

...I suppose we should find a vase for those.

[deathsdoctor]

[Meanwhile Law is starting to show red even underneath his dark complexion.]

... uhh... yes...

[And there might be a few giggles and the beginning of chuckling starting up from the crowd.]

... oh seas...

[Itachi hears it, and realizes at last that it's directed at them. Or at Law specifically. Still a bit lost, he turns his attention back to his now clearly flustered partner.]

...I'm afraid I'm not sure what this means. Will you be okay?

[deathsdoctor]

I'm fine. ... I just caught the bride's bouquet. [VERY EMBARRASSED HERE. Though it's starting to wear off.] It's a wedding tradition that stretches across a few worlds. The bride throws the bouquet and the person who catches it is the next to be married.

[Voice lowering to whisper.] The next bride, anyway, at least by my world. [And the obvious problem here and the source of the flustering? Law is male.]

...I see.

[A pause as the ninja reaches a hand out to rub a thumb against a petal on one of the flowers.]

We may have to make some alterations to your bridal kimono.

[Aaaand leaning over to pluck a glass of champagne off a passing tray, covering a small smile with the rim of it.]

[Okay with that a brow perks up, and here comes the sass and the sauce.

Even if he's still red.]

We might. [And here comes the teasing smile. Lightly.] Though I suppose this also means I'm naturally going to end up right in any matter after all is said and done as well.

[Because the wife always is after all.]

[Glancing up from the wine glass.] If you believe that sort of thing.

[Not that they get into many arguments to begin with.]

[Aaaaand Law is just going to hum and smile innocently. An of course dear hum.

He's still teasing a bit in good fun for that bridal kimono crack. Done too unless Itachi chooses to volley something else back.

... doesn't change the fact they're doing this in front of a crowd of people. Which... yeeeah.]

[Itachi's sure they'll go back to their own conversations and chatter soon enough. There isn't much to see here, after all.

They don't get enough moments like these, so he's resolved to make the best of it. (The amount of alcohol he's had may be influencing that too.)]

[Eventually. They're still entertained.

After congratulating the bride and groom, however, they'll be left to themselves once more. Law's snagged more champagne and he's eyeing that dreaded dance floor.

Still... nope. Not intoxicated for that enough, yep. Put a few more bottles in him and maybe then. But right now, nope.]

Want to get some cake?

[Seas knows he's going to pay, and pay in spades, afterwards, but maybe if they share, the gluten induced indigestion won't be so bad.]

[Cake? Unlike his brother, Itachi doesn't have much of an issue with sweets. He just doesn't know if he's really up for it right now. It wouldn't be a bad idea, all things considered, seeing as he's otherwise drinking on an empty stomach.

So alright, cake it is. He nods to Law, taking the opportunity to link his arm around his.]

[If Law happens to look over in Gai's direction, he'll be greeted by a grin and a quick thumbs-up from the blond. Oh, is he ever amused.

And thankful that HE isn't the one who caught it, because that would just be awkward.]

[... never going to here the end of this, will he?

Nope.

Snaaatching another drink off a passing tray and raising the glass before taking a drink. Whelp, who knows what will happen at his own wedding. (STILL IN AWE HE'S ENGAGED).

[No, not at all. But it will all be in good fun, and let's face it, he knows damn well how happy Law has to be about this, so he's willing to take his chances.]
