Christmas tiiiime
Who: Bioshock Family House! (and friends)
What: ITS CHRISTMAS! And they're going to be civil to each other dagnabbit
When: Christmas?
Where: The Bioshocker House!
Summary: Everyone is happy! Food! Presents! Puppies? Proposals! WAIT WAHT?!
Rating: P for words starting with P.
Tree? Check. It's pathetic and almost half the pine-needles are missing from getting dragged into the house.
Ornaments? Check.
Christmas dinner? Well...there's food, at least! Robert and Booker might have raided the supermarket for all the microwaveable and appropriate foods to have for Christmas. There's microwaved chicken, microwaved mashed potatoes, microwaved green beans that are really soggy and smell funny, microwaved rolls, and microwaved ham. Because there should be variety, damnit. There's also a pie sitting in the microwave, waiting. And vanilla ice cream.
Booker wouldn't call it a feast or anything but it's not like there's absolutely nothing to be seen.
They haven't gone all out or anything for the first Christmas they're spending together, nobody here really has the Christmas spirit to do it. Either the Luteces don't remember how to do Christmas or they just don't care - the latter is more likely and Booker hasn't done Christmas in decades so it feels off to even find a tree. Booker doesn't know if Elizabeth ever got to celebrate the holiday in her tower but as far as he's concerned this should be good enough.

Still, when she asked him to shut the door, it was a matter of a mere second for him to reach behind him and do so, carefully turning the lock until they were rewarded with a soft click. There, perfect.

Door shut, she still spoke at a whisper. But her hands were wandering to the closures on Gai's clothing. They had never done this in near-complete darkness. It was a little exciting, just feeling her way.

As visual a person as Gai was, even he had to admit there was something incredibly sexy about the darkness that necessitated them to rely on their other senses. And, of course, he could always blame a wandering hand on his inability to see anything properly. It wasn't his fault if he couldn't see the buttons he was trying to undo...

"Surely being interrupted once isn't enough to throw things. You make it sound like you're only going to have one opportunity," she smiled in the dark, having finished with Gai's shirt. She reached back and unzipped her skirt, staying silent as it fell to the floor with a rustle. "You're going to have me for the rest of our lives."
no subject
Shirt now unbuttoned, he shrugged it off, moving his arms away from her just long enough to slip his arms out of it and toss it somewhere off to the side. That accomplished, he settled his hands back onto her waist and pulled her in for a long, slow kiss. Tonight was special, and there was no need to rush things. He wanted to take it slow and just savor every moment, burn it into his memory forever.

She heard Gai's shirt drop to the floor, felt his arms draw her in, and she knew to look up so he could kiss her. Gai was taking things more slowly than they ever had before, and it surprised Elizabeth a little. In the beginning, even though Elizabeth had requested that they go slowly, she could still feel Gai straining at the reins, wanting her, wanting to go faster. She can't feel any of that now. Maybe she had settled him a little. Enough to realize that a mad dash to orgasm wasn't what he wanted now.
Elizabeth curled her fingers into Gai's hair and tried to hold her breath as they kissed. He was so warm, so soft and gentle.

But in this situation, it didn't feel right to be anything besides gentle. They weren't a pair of horny teenagers groping each other awkwardly behind some building; they were a man and a woman who had just agreed to devote the rest of their lives to each other. This was just a beginning of many things yet to come-- things they would experience together. There was nothing but love and quiet reverence in his kiss now, almost as if he were trying to extend their connection to their very souls.

She rubbed her thumb against Gai's temple, stepped closer into his warmth, groped to find his other hand so she could hold it.
"I feel... like I could never be this close to another person again. You're holding my life and heart, in one hand."
no subject
His hand closed softly around hers and just held it the same way she'd held his Void. Gentle yet firm, with a reassurance that he wasn't ever going to let go, no matter what. This was right where he belonged.

She stopped as their hands settled together, Elizabeth taking the moment to rest her head against Gai's sternum and listen to his heartbeat. "And I wouldn't trust myself to anyone else, after that."
no subject
"I love you."
no subject
As long as they were talking about her holding his heart, Elizabeth was going to do what she could to continue to bury Gai's assertions that he housed something deadly inside of him. She knew what it felt like to have someone you loved be afraid of you, and she never wanted Gai to think, for a moment, that she was afraid of him.
no subject
But he also knew that Elizabeth didn't fear him, no matter how much he'd tried to convince her that she should. There was a tiny part of him that would probably always think her foolish for that, but it was overshadowed by how grateful the rest of him was that she'd seen the true form of his heart and yet loved him anyway.
And so he just pulled her close and kissed her hair, wondering what he could have possibly done to deserve the love of someone as amazing as Elizabeth.

After a few quiet moments of gently rocking in Gai's arms, Elizabeth let out a soft laugh.
"Gai... don't tell me you brought a condom to my Christmas party..." Well, this might get derailed very quickly at this rate.
no subject
Things were indeed getting derailed very quickly and Gai was in no hurry to stop them. Far be it from him to say no if that was what Elizabeth wanted.
After all, it was still love, just of a different sort than the quiet, gentle kind they'd been enjoying up until now this evening.

She finished unbuttoning her dress and let it slide down onto the floor with a little bit of creative wiggling. "I can't say I'm as prepared," Elizabeth grinned, referring to her corset. "I thought that a Christmas party at my house would be a clear sign for chastity tonight."
Which Gai was completely ruining--not that Elizabeth was going to stop him though.
no subject
There was a slight moment of quiet distaste when Gai's hands landed on Elizabeth's corset. No matter what removal of that particular garment promised, he still had a hatred for the entire process in the first place. Next time he'd have to ask her to wear that bra... "Are you telling me corsets aren't a sign for chastity? Could've fooled me."
no subject
She swayed a little under Gai's hands running over her corset, sighing happily. "They're a test all young men should undergo. Before they sleep with someone they shouldn't. Obviously, if you're too drunk or inexperienced to work a corset, you aren't in any condition to be having sex."
no subject
His hands trailed lightly over the fabric and boning as they made their way to the back of the corset in search of those infernal laces. "I had enough trouble with it the first time without any alcohol involved at all," he joked.
no subject
Joking about lighter things brought her away from Columbia, and that was good. She had a new life, a completely new life, with Gai at the forefront of her future. That was what she was going to focus on--not what she was taught to be.
"I can do it, Gai," she said, reaching back for the knot. "It's dark and we've both had a drink."
no subject
He gave a few half-hearted tugs on the knot before allowing Elizabeth to have a go at it instead-- probably a better choice unless he really wanted to be teased about his lack of skill in corsets again.
no subject
She's silent for a few moments as she pulls at the laces, then finally there's a soft pop and a thump as it falls into the heap her dress created.
