[After a lot of preparation, opening night for Luceti's newest club is finally here. The music is loud and insistent, the kind where you have to shout a bit to be heard above the noise. Flashing, moving lights above reveal the purple decor, mostly devoid of chairs, and plenty of room to dance. A well stocked bar should be able to provide liquid courage to anyone too nervous to shake there groove-thang sober, while a patio out back affords a space for anyone wanting to have more intimate (or just quieter) interactions. There's also a coat room, for anyone looking for a warmer spot for intimate interactions.

The doors open at seven, and will stay open until two am-- plenty of time to drink, dance, talk and generally have a good time. When the DJs aren't spinning, a house mix is put on, so there's never a quiet moment.]

Hey, don't get too full of yourself. You got me in the door, and it'll take a lot more than whatever they're serving to get me out there.

[Not really, of course. He's not as much of a stick in the mud as he - or anyone else - makes him out to be. But he does have a reputation to uphold.

He walks to the bar with Kurt, taking a seat at one of the empty stools.]

So, they seem to be pretty lax here about the whole underage thing. Or is that just me?

We'll see about that. The night is young, and we are too!

[And he hops into the stool next to him.]

Maybe it is just you. Maybe they think you're as old as you act. Or it could be because of how weird and messed up it is in here. But I like the first explanation better!

[He turns in his stool, resting his arm on the bar as he checks out the scene. It's pretty lively considering that it's still early.]

Aside from the whole "kidnapped and fighting a war" thing, it doesn't seem too bad here. But that might just be because I'm new here.

[He hasn't seen any fighting yet, after all. But his best friend's here, and so are Rogue and Jean. It's not perfect, but they certainly go a long way.]

You're not far off the mark. [He sits in the stool with his legs spread out and hands leaning on the seat, while gazing around following Scott's line of sight.] When the war doesn't rear it's head and we're free to be by ourselves? It can be pretty neat here.

[He still misses his friends from home and the teachers who were there with him for his first year here. And all the friends he made here who are now gone...]

[Scott notices that Kurt seems a little down about something. He frowns to himself for a moment, then decides it's up to him to cheer his best friend back up.]

Hey, come on! [He gives him a hearty pat on the back.] Tell you what... I wasn't going to do this, but this is a special occasion. And there's no one I'd rather have my first drink with than you.

[He knows Kurt likes it when he loosens up. Still, he can't help but feel like he might end up regretting this somehow.]

[He smirks at that, at least.]

Hey, be careful! You may regret those words soon. [Scott drinking? Now this would be a sight to behold. He reaches for the bar menu, showing it to Scott.] We might as well go ahead and pick our poison!

[He smirks back, taking the menu to look it over.]

You know, it's not exactly making it any easier for me when you use the word "poison."

[He gives the menu a quick look over, then spots something that looks pretty appropriate.]

So, did they name this one after you?

[He turns the menu back to him with a grin, pointing to a drink called "Fuzzy Navel."]

[He barks a laugh as he reads the name and playfully shoves at Scott's shoulder.]

Very funny, Scott. I wonder what they'd name after you... Probably whichever name sounds the most boring! [It's a weak jab, but Kurt's not always the best at improvising comebacks.]

Ouch. I'll just be sitting over here with my hairless navel.

[He gives Kurt a gentle nudge with his elbow.]

Alright, alright. I this is gonna be my first drink, then it needs to be something memorable. Why don't you pick something out? That way, if it's awful, I can just blame it all on you.

[He crosses his arms confidently.]

And so if it's awesome, which it will, I'll get all the glory. I think we have ourselves a deal.

You know what? I'll just get you something myself! Element of surprise, man! [He raises his arms as he says that for dramatic effect, and then he slides over the bar counter to look for the right drink.]
